  1. He was probably being more emphatic about what Earl just did to the DB versus scoring a TD.
  2. Bergman, just because you can contact CDC does not mean you should contact CDC. Have a little self-awareness. You are going to ruin it for the rest of us who enjoy meaningful dialogue.
  3. I went to an App State last year in Boone when they played Troy State. Froze my butt off. Rabid fan base but the whole presentation was a bit over the top.
  4. Does it help with his 3 point stance?
  5. What happened to his hands?
  6. Do not care. The kicker is a football player that was running with the football. Plus....Tech.
  7. Nolan was not an everyday player and rarely contributed offensively. Nolan is, and should be, a legend.
  8. Just landed in ATL making my way home from a business trip. There were two Bama t-shirt fans sitting across from me on the flight. All of their luggage still had the purchase and manufacturers tags still on them. I swear those two will be returning that luggage to Walmart as soon as their fancy weekend vacation is over!
  9. Well...since you put it that way...then, yes? Wait! No?
  10. Maybe I should have just described as a "quality individual". One that you would not mind being associated with.
  11. With the recent retirement of Charles and Johnson from the NFL most on here have extolled the virtues of these men and the high character that they exhibit. Couple that with Poona and others that are also mentioned from time to time as high character guys. Have there been any UT guys that have turned into total douches once they hit the NFL? It seems that most Texas guys have been class acts of which I am proud of.
  12. Same here. I am at that stage in life as I have to file something away today that means a previous memory must rotate off. Aging sucks.
  13. These WWII vets played with such unbridled fury and love for the game. They had witnessed the worst that humanity could offer and they played the game without fear because they had already faced the ultimate in fear. They "brought it" on each play. I love watching these old clips. The dirt, grime, grass stains, and mud from playing on real grass added another look and feel that enhanced the ruggedness of the game. RIP Mr. Marchetti.
  14. Understood but I am only considering stats.
  15. IMO if Terrell Davis is in so should Charles be in.
  16. How is it possible that a group of people could be so clueless and dumb? It is almost gotten to the point with these people that they are saying such outlandish things because it is expected and they want the attention it brings.
  17. This made me laugh out loud in my office. Perfect.
  18. Is there a way to unsee something? Need to know ASAP.
  19. Meh, another overpaid blowhard.
  20. I do not recall TEX and I graduated in December of 88. Maybe I am just old and cannot remember.
  21. Yes I did, along with other sage advice. The only thing that i was not prepared for was an active shooter situation. That occurred her freshman year. She called me in a panic. She was locked in her dorm room and she did not know where her roommate was which was also a friend of hers from high school. As a parent it is a bit alarming to be on the phone reassuring your child that it is going to be OK while you hear all of the alarms going off in the background. The shooter finally knocked himself off in the PCL. I spent a lot of time on the phone with her. She would always call me when she was walking back from the student parking near DFF on the other side of I-35 back to her dorm. Like I said, her going to school there created such a bond. She is burnt orange through and through. She is now in Durham, NC, married and is expecting her first child (next generation Longhorn). We text and talk during the football games and try to make at least one game a season together. We talk almost everyday on the phone. She is a great daughter.
  22. I certainly did. All she had to do was to go online and wait. I also rummaged around in some old paperwork and found a tuition bill from one of my Fall semesters. It was less than $500 for a full class load including the sports package, building fees, etc. She was dumbfounded!
  23. Congrats to your son and family. As an alum it is extra special to have a child attend UT as well. I graduated in '88 and my daughter graduated in 2014. I remember well bringing her down for orientation and then the first move-in day. She asked so many questions about what to do and where to go. I was a bit bewildered myself as the process had changed so much. It had gone from a very manual system to everything being done electronically or online. Great times for sure. Another win for the good guys! Hookem! It will create even a more special bond between you and your child.
  24. Cancer sucks. Thoughts and prayers Paden.
