  1. I had tickets in Section 31 right on the 20 yard line for several years before moving to the north endzone after they redid it in 2007. The sun is brutal but you can get better deals on the east side vs west side.
  2. In unrelated news, Charmin has best quarter ever.
  3. His monologue sucked.
  4. Yo tambien. I grew up in San Antonio but I've lived in Austin since 1993 when I started at UT as a freshman. I have been to Houston and Dallas a ton. When I was in my 20s, I would have preferred Dallas over SA. Now in my 40s, no doubt I'd pick SA over Dallas or Houston. I was in San Antonio earlier today visiting friends. But... I don't see myself leaving Austin any time soon...
  5. I think you're supposed to hate her tho
  6. Goran, keep it up! Dude is funny.
  7. My guess is this dude wasn't showing up weeks at a time. Otherwise I don't think the Rangers get involved.
  8. His delivery on "he's so creepy" makes me laugh just thinking about it.
  9. Really good read. I also noticed you finally changed your username; glad you didn't change your avatar though.
  10. We have a ton of SWA points due to our credit card including the companion pass. We need to do a family trip at some point. I would love to go to Mexico City but with little kids, eh. Bahamas.... hmm.
  11. Who here is shocked it made it this long? The last time I went in there my freshman year in 1993. I had a friend who lived there and it had a funk smell. That's what I remember the most about the place.
  12. Yes but it isn't an empty lot. Someone is going to have to spend a lot of money to tear it down.
  13. I get the other board topics but no LULZ...
  14. Doesn't the YETI store serve beer? Does that impact the CHL?
  15. Yeti is an interesting product. It pisses off a lot of people that their items are priced so high when deep down they really want the product. How much are the Stanley coffee Thermos guys kicking themselves? They have been doing vacuum sealed products for what 40 years? Why didn't they think of making a 30oz stainless steel tumbler? For the record, I am not a Yeti fan boy and I don't own any Yeti coolers. I bought the RTIC roadie & the 45 when they went on that crazy sale last year. And I have since sold both on FB. For as heavy as they were, I didn't think either kept ice that long. My favorite cooler is the Polar Bear soft 20 cooler. I have one from a Texas Exes Houston Chapter fundraiser which means it's the only one like it versus my friends that have the same looking Yeti Hopper...
  16. Getting back to the IPO... This is a great article about YETI. This was in their hayday but it's still a good read and has some good points. https://www.inc.com/magazine/201602/bill-saporito/yeti-coolers-founders-roy-ryan-seiders.html
  17. I ate at the DQ in Hamilton with my dad the last weekend of deer season and it was busy. Old school type. On the way home, we ate at a DQ off I20 and 281 and it was a brand new one. Did not like it at all. Didn't feel like a DQ.

    Texas BBQ

Sombitch. Fucking Texas Monthly. The last 2 times I went to Snow's the line was very manageable. I went 2 years ago and we showed up at 10:30am and had food by 11am. When I saw them name Snows #1 in the state, it was like a punch in the gut.

    Texas BBQ

I have been to Snow's a few times. The last time I went was maybe April 2017. I took my oldest son as my other 2 were at a birthday party with my wife. It was amazing (sausage, brisket, pork ribs) and got a free Lone Star from the dude there. We showed up at 11:15am and the line was about 8 people, we started on that ramp there. The only thing they were out of was jalapeno sausage. Maybe 2 weeks later Texas Monthly named them the best in the state (for a 2nd time). I was actually pissed off because I knew what it would do for the lines. Which brings me to my question -> how is the line at Snow's now?
  20. "Men who look like Kenny" website was pretty good. A part of the early internet history...
  21. I went once and I must have been on a bad day. It was barely edible. (ducks)
  22. Why couldn't they have finished this summer. Bastards.
  23. - Exponent (Ben Thompson from StratTechery and James Allsworth). Focuses on technology, strategy and business. Great insight. He's been doing it for years and after enjoying his new weekly drops, I started listening from the very beginning. - StratFor Podcast (Austin based strategic forecasting company). Focuses on world affairs but it's really informative stuff. - HornCast. I'm a sucker but they can go longer than they need to. - Planet Money (NPR). These are great 10-15min podcasts. There have been some great episodes.
  24. Bosch S2 was much better than S1. Thanks for the rec. I was ready to stop after S1.
