  1. Apparently Jordan Coleman has been practicing with the tackles. Might be able to give us some garbage time snaps. Arms look pretty long, Cojoe’s look unusually long.
  2. I heard he has cement in his cleats. I would try to cross train him though. I think Chatman could start at tackle for quite a few teams in this league, he’s athletic and has a nasty streak. Brooks is supposedly solid, but Freshman typically get QBs killed.
  3. The ether has communicated with my predecessors.
  4. I’m surprised someone hasn’t engineered some kind of knee stabilization apparatus. Not a huge brace contraption, but a kind of sleeve that conforms to the shape of the knee to reduce impact forces. Just enough to deplete the percentage of ligament tears in sports. Is that science fiction?
  5. Littleton getting all first-team nickel reps is super interesting. He’s like 2022 Guilbeau beating out Barron. Also heard Cunningham ran with DBs, I thought dude was going to bulk up 20 pounds by fall camp.
  6. You guys should go watch some Trey Moore UTSA tape if you’re concerned about him as an off the ball linebacker. He basically played outside linebacker there and looked comfortable in space. Texas doesn’t really ask their LBs to carry guys across the field in coverage anyways, it’s more of a match style coverage. Nansen had produced many ILBs who record high sack numbers.
  7. This movies box office is interesting. It’s out performing a Billion Dollar movie in Lilo & Stitch domestically, yet it hasn’t crossed 500m worldwide. It’s getting almost no international support and has basically been exiled from Asia.
  8. Has there been any updates on Baker & the rest of that tackle room? I feel good about Goosby and the depth of the interior. I think Campbell, Hutson, and Neto are going to maul people. If any of them go down I feel great about Kibble, Robertson, and Chatman. Baker seems to have a substantial lead in the Right Tackle competition. If him and Goosby have to miss a game or two, what’s the drop off like to Brooks & Cojoe?
  9. I think if I wanted to show off my home theater set up, I’d show my company Man Of Steel. It’s a visually beautiful film with some cool action. Though Superman (2025) just feels right. I know DC characters have dozens of iterations, but this version of Superman feels proper. Empathy over Power. Kindness over Dominance.
  10. Who is our swing tackle this season? Is it Chatman?
  11. I rewatched the film and I definitely enjoyed it more. Went up a point in my book. I’m curious if the original cut of this film was closer to 150mins. Even after a 2nd watch, there’s stuff with no context littered across the film. “Don’t tell him anything Superman, it’s okay, I have no family”. That hit me the 2nd time around, but I couldn’t help but feel his character had some scenes axed.
  12. How does Tyler compare to the kid Georgia got out of Oak Ridge last class?
  13. Kosi & Tyler are two mean mfs to add to the LB room. I feel like we need another one. Nansen should go out to the West Coast and find a long framed developmental type in Southern California. Those guys fly under the radar every class.
  14. Had a chance to check this film out last night. I wanted to let it linger before I spoke on it. I don’t think I enjoyed it most of the first act, I had all these preconceived notions on what I thought the film would be or maybe how it should be. I was trying to view it from the lens of past Superman films. When I let that stuff go and just observed, it was a cool experience. It’s truly unique. It’s not really comparable to any other comicbook film. You’re just dropped into this world going 100mph the entire time. I think it could have used an additional 10-15 minutes, there were powerful moments that almost felt superficial. The characters were also so good that you want to spend more time with them. It’s a James Gunn film, but definitely peeled back. It’s so diverse in tone, you could imagine any character existing in this world, you’ll see examples of that in the film. I could see some people hating this movie. It’s chaotic, ridiculous, and hilarious at times. I’ll get into some pros and cons once the movie actually drops. I think I want to see it again. If you’re a fan of DC, I think you’ll find many things in this film redeeming. I think this is the Batman Begins to a potential Dark Knight. Solid start. This a Superman you can build around, even if his solo film doesn’t hit for everyone.
  15. Texas really wants a lot of guys. I don’t see Tech in on them. This doesn’t make sense in the context of their class. Why not just put together a Top10 class?
  16. Somebody educate me on Tech recruiting. Why would they splurge for Ojo? Their class looks pedestrian. You’d think their class would look more like Aggie if they really wanted to spend some money.
  17. We’ve got our asses handed to us every single summer on the recruiting trail since Sark has been here. Folks are desperate. Have patience.
  18. Damn, every summer we get outbid heavily. Texas seems to have no issue playing the long game under Sark. It is kind of fun to see how the dominoes fall throughout the season. Should be another interesting one when you consider Texas’s trajectory vs these desperate wallets.
  19. I know it would never happen, but the original Big12 South could flip the sport on its head overnight by re-forming some sort of Southwest Centric Conference. Texas and OU packing the prestige, Tech and A&M outbidding the field for Texas/Louisiana talent. The T Boone Foundation is still pumping dollars into OSU athletics, I think they could easily be an Ole Miss type in the portal lane if they wanted to. I wouldn’t invite Baylor. I’d start at 12. Maybe: Texas, A&M, OU, Oklahoma State, Arizona, Kansas Other Division: Arizona State, SMU, Colorado, Utah, Kansas State, Texas Tech Obviously you’re betting on Tech, SMU, Colorado, and ASU to pop off in NIL. If you wanted to go to 14, there is some intriguing regional options. College Sports will wither and die if national conference structures aren’t combatted.
  20. Trevor Goosby looks like a leaned out Tristian Wirfs. They could be siblings.
  21. Got my advanced screening tickets for Tuesday Night. As a younger DC fan who had to live through the MCU era, it feels like it’s finally our time to shine. Would have been nice at 16, even better pushing 30.
  22. I say toss their groupie asses out the window and let them hoes stargaze from outside.
  23. Any Stream Links For Tonight’s Fight?
  24. It’s not that deep. No one is this thread has ever made a negative comment about Quinn’s character. No one is denying how great of a representative he was for the University. It’s simply football talk on a football thread.
  25. Sarks NFL relationships seem to be relevant enough for his colleagues to take flyers on his players in the late rounds. JWhitt benefited from that last class. I had strong doubts about Quinn following that OU game, and I just became more critical as the season progressed. It was so obvious that teams like Arkansas, Kentucky, and A&M didn’t belong on the same field as us. Yet we couldn’t pull away. Hell the SEC championship was served up on a silver platter. That being said, have so much love and respect for anyone who wears that Burnt Orange. I hope he makes the most out of this opportunity.
