  1. The best team we’ve beaten is Vanderbilt. Many QBs have lit up that vaunted Michigan defense since Quinn. We essentially lost two first round wideouts, a first round RB, and an NFL TE. Our current cast is still elite for a college squad, but there’s more on Quinn’s shoulders. I don’t think Quinn is the kind of guy who can mask deficiencies like our weak zone blocking run game. Although when you look around the country there’s not much elite football being played. There’s not a squad putting it all together every weekend. So it’s hard to gauge what championship football looks like in 2024. I know we have a defense that can get the job done. special teams not so much. Offense has the potential to carry but hasn’t really shown it. Still, that flawed combo is enough to beat many of the teams we’ll see early in the playoffs.
  2. Poor QB and Special Teams play. Ole Miss punter was pinning Georgia deep, they couldn’t sustain long drives. Georgia was also getting after Ole Miss too with edge pressure and stunts, you just wouldn’t know it because of how smooth Dart was moving in the pocket.
  3. Georgias defensive line was in the backfield all game. Dart just effortlessly stepped up and avoided pressure. He also made great throw after great throw. Elite day from him.
  4. I don’t think Quinn could ever make a simple play like that.
  5. The criticism was deserved. There was still some sketchy play in the first quarter, but Quinn’s looked as good as he has in over a month. Maybe Sark needs to do a better job of warming Quinn up with throws that aren’t so predictable.
  6. I might be Ryan’s biggest fan. I always come away impressed by his limited snaps. He’s explosive and violent. He reminds me of Duvernay, but maybe less stiff.
  7. I don’t think it’s fair to the offensive line to say they “just need to be better”. They’re in a pretty bad position right now. They’re only permitted to a zone based run blocking scheme most of the game. Defensive lines aren’t concerned about Quinn’s mobility or deep ball game, so edges are recklessly racing to the backfield. Linebackers aren’t concerned about getting much depth in their drops so they’re waiting for screens. Watch the Florida game yesterday, the Georgia defensive line played contain almost the whole game.
  8. Michigan played pretty vanilla on defense, there was very little disguising coverage or blitzes. Maybe that afforded Quinn the confidence to play in the manner he did. He rarely stacks those types of performances upon each other.
  9. Wasn’t ‘12 Adrian Phillips and Kenny Vaccaro? Doesn’t get much better than that.
  10. I’m going to roll with this narrative to get me through the bye week. Although it feels like a false sense of security. Rooting for Quinn to light up the Gators, but I don’t see it.
  11. Maybe he’s off some Percs.
  12. Blue and Wisner were warriors today. They maxed out their lil frames. They were getting lit up.
  13. Yall are insane. There will be nothing easy about beating a squad like Georgia. They spotted Alabama 28 points and still took the go ahead lead in the 4th on the road. I may be wrong, but I’m preparing for a heavy weight matchup.
  14. Who fills the hole left by Williams? I feel like he was very missed against Mississippi State cleaning up 2nd level runs.
  15. OU is going to try to execute the same Lebby gameplan they came with last year, the same one Mississippi State deployed. Ball Control and desperately try to force turnovers. I wouldn’t be surprised if we see a similar approach from every team we play from here on out. Just like how every Big12 team installed a triple high safety look for the Texas game. Our interior will be tested. We just got to get them off the field and make it rain early.
  16. Vernon is an oiled up rattlesnake inside. I see him in the backfield often. He’s also held up decently in the run. If he can maintain his performance against the meat of our schedule, he might turn himself into an early day three draft pick or higher. His real value is getting after the passer though, he’s dangerous in known passing situations. Alfred is playing a bit out of position in my opinion, but he’s still a plus starter.
  17. Would they leapfrog Alabama three spots? They almost choked a four possession lead. They also had a pretty lackluster showing against South Florida.
  18. According to PFF, Rutgers has the highest rated LT, RG, C, LG, and RT in the country right now. They’re individually the highest rated players at their specific position.
  19. I see another 20+ carry day for Blue. Gibson and Niblett are some dogs too. Let’s just embarrass these cowbells and get to the bye week.
  20. Not only is Arnold confirmed garbage, but OUs roster is depleted. I can’t wait to feast on these bums.
  21. The 2nd team offensive line really gets some push in the run game. I think that’ll be a team strength next season.
  22. Juan killed a couple dudes on that pull.
  23. I know he’s only had a handful of snaps, but I’ve been really impressed by Ryan Niblett. He might be the most physical back. I think he laid the heaviest hit last Saturday on a Michigan DE. When he carries the ball, he makes one cut, and then crashes into the hole.
  24. Also someone needs to introduce the team to the rest of Boosie’s discography. They been jamming Set It Off since last fall. Boosies got at least a dozen songs that’ll make you want to beat somebody’s ass.
  25. We don’t really play a decent team for over a month. We could really start building our depth up even more. I’d like to see a lot of our 2nd team offensive line. I’d also like to see some other guys emerge in the interior defensive line. Where is Jaray Bledsoe? It’d be nice if he could give us some closer interior pass rush snaps.
