  1. Porter Brown was a riddle for the Frogs as well. Story was that he was a Premed major and studied his ass off while classes were in session, to the detriment of his onfield performance. Once the semester was over and he could focus on baseball, he was an allstar. Tale of two Players for sure. I think I saw that he has changed majors now...
  2. TCU swept the series against UCLA, including run ruling them in the final game. Went on to beat Washington State in 12 innings, then came back the next day to beat Arizona. TCU pitchers struck out 19. Good start for the year.
  3. https://www.bluegoldsports.com/2023/06/13/former-mountaineer-ben-hampton-transfers-to-big-12-foe/ Former Mountaineer Ben Hampton transfers to Big 12 foe by Wesley Shoemaker West Virginia baseball pitcher Ben Hampton has transferred to Big 12 foe TCU. Hampton was a key part in guiding the Mountaineers to a program record tying 40 wins this year. Hampton was 5-3 with a 4.45 ERA this season. In his career he was 17-11 with 203 strikeouts and a career ERA of 4.62. This past season, West Virginia was 11-5 in games Hampton started.

  5. According to one of the ISU fans, it was 95 in Terre Haute last week.
  6. He should transfer to Arkansas. Even Van Horn wouldn't use him that hard.
  7. Looks like TCU will be doing the hosting of the Super. Special Olympics has Terre Haut all booked up next weekend.
  8. You gotta take off your shoes and throw 'em on the floor.
  9. yeah, I messed up. It's an old one about the Vicar.
  10. A certain young girl named Mulgrew, told the punter as he withdrew, "That Dicker is quicker and slicker and quicker, And two inches longer than you."
  11. Nah, not looking for approval, just addressing some misconceptions. Lots on here say that smaller schools can't compete, don't belong, yada yada. All we needed was a chance, and this seems to show that we can win, and people watch. With TV revenue and bowl game financial benefits, all I am saying is that TCU pulls its weight in the Big 12. Now, a question which I would really like answered, because I don't know the answer or the rationale. What does UT (and OU) expect out of moving to the SEC? If you look at the fortunes of Mizzou, Arkansas, and A&M, are they better off now? Is it all about money? The Big 12's new TV contract would make it seem like the schools will be well compensated, and if you look at travel costs for all sports, the destinations in the SEC are going to take more dollars to get there and back. Right now, you have the status of a big fish in a smaller pond, is that worse than being an average sized fish in a bigger pond? I also think about the average fan being able to follow the team. It is certainly easier for fans to travel to Waco, Fort Worth, and even Lubbock than to Florida, Alabama, and Georgia. Seriously, I want to know if you guys (and Nicole) think this is really a good decision?
