  1. The guy who fomented insurrection at the US Capitol on 1/6/2021 will be sworn in as POTUS on 1/20/2025. Unbelievable.
  2. I agree with the Trump voters who saw this election as an opportunity for them to protect and preserve the need to feel secure in their whiteness.
  3. Exceptional people should be able to create an exceptional health care system for its people. It remains to be seen if the negative impacts of Medicare for all outweigh the positives.
  4. The current health care system and the rising costs associated with it are not sustainable long term. If Americans have been advocating for a structural change since the 60’s why don’t we have it? https://www.pewresearch.org/short-reads/2020/09/29/increasing-share-of-americans-favor-a-single-government-program-to-provide-health-care-coverage/ https://news.gallup.com/poll/468401/majority-say-gov-ensure-healthcare.aspx https://www.pbs.org/newshour/politics/majority-of-americans-unhappy-with-health-care-system-ap-norc-poll
  5. After all that hard work, ESPN cigars must be dyspeptic.
  6. So true. There nothing unusual about the margin of defeat in the playoff era, since postseason games have never really been close The average score of a CFP game from the four-team era was 40-21. The average BCS Championship: 33-18. The NFL doesn’t redesign playoffs because the NFC West champ doesn’t belong in the minds of some. The faux outrage from the media cartels is nauseating.
  7. The B1G and the Sec will do whatever the networks tell them to do and like it. Quit trippin’.
  8. So is Dinesh DSouza’s son-in-law: https://www.mediaite.com/news/new-house-repub-tells-audience-we-need-a-lot-more-daniel-pennys-because-there-are-far-too-many-jordan-neelys-in-this-country/
  9. So, in Trump’s America one should decry the murder of a healthcare company CEO, but celebrate choking the life out of a homeless mentally ill person on a train?
  10. Woke bastard.
  11. As part of ABC News’ complete and total surrender to Trump, George Stephanopoulos must give Trump a million dollars of his own money. Anybody who thinks this is not a dangerous path for us to follow, is not seeing the bigger picture.
  12. It won’t matter so long as we remain a country wherein guns are valued more than people.
  13. Rural America needs to start voting in their own interests and resist appeals that animate their racial anxieties and opposition to equity principles.
  14. Likability, along with character are virtues that are no longer valued by voters. Do you Trump at all?
  15. I disagree. By any objective measure, both of the women who led the Democratic ticket were more qualified than the man they against. America has made it abundantly clear that is not ready to elect a woman in general and a black woman in particular. Gavin Newsome could have run on the exact same ticket with the same policy platform and messaging, and would have defeated Trump.
  16. At one of his rallies, Trump told his people that he really didn’t care about them, that he just wanted their votes. You can’t be more disrespectful and still have dumb ass people support you, unless of course all you’re irrationally concerned about the dispossession of white people.
  17. I’ll admit to be surprised at the sheer number of post election autopsies that blame ignorance of policy positions and Democratic malfeasance in messaging for Trump’s win. Really? If we want to keep it real, there are other reasons why dominant culture voters opted for Trump: https://www.facebook.com/share/v/xK1PNXbfcZCHh6ui/
  18. Or the bobble head that simulates giving head. That’s gonna be the big seller.
  19. Well, either we have an “open border” as Republicans have alleged for 4 years, or we don’t.
  20. The OP explains my issue either way him and his whining about wokeness has only gotten worse.
  21. This is bad form even for a Trump nominee:
  22. Had the heads up on local butter biscuit becoming HUD Secretary. He’s everything you would not want to lead HUD in a housing crisis. He an anathema within the black community.
  23. This whole sad saga has me thinking about why preservers of the status quo are unalterably opposed to what might be learned from an examination of CRT. The scholarly framework holds that racism goes far beyond just individually held prejudices, and that it is in fact a systemic race and class phenomenon woven into the laws and institutions of this nation. Those who craft the laws and define the parameters in which institutions exist and operate, do so to ensure that results redound to their benefit. No poor or minority person in this country could ever get away with what Trump is on the verge of getting away with, and that’s because laws and institutions generally don’t exist to help them.
  24. Elon Musk has called MSNBC “the utter scum of the Earth.” He has said the channel “peddles puerile propaganda.” Just a few days ago he said, “MSNBC is going down.” And now he is posting memes about buying the channel. Conventional wisdom holds that Musk — the world’s richest man and key Donald Trump ally — and his friends are just joking. But Musk’s posts are adding to the anxiety that MSNBC staffers are feeling about the reelection of Donald Trump and the recently announced spinoff of Comcast’s cable channels. I spent Sunday on the phone with sources to gauge what might be going on. I learned that more than one benevolent billionaire with liberal bonafides has already reached out to acquaintances at MSNBC to express interest in buying the cable channel. The inbound interest was reassuring, one of the sources said, since it showed that oppositional figures like Musk (who famously bought Twitter to blow it up) would not be the only potential suitors. https://www.yahoo.com/finance/news/elon-musk-floats-buying-msnbc-150921328.html
