  1. Jordan Klepper showed us how their children are just like them. It’s enough to make one despair.
  2. This is Trump’s way of saying to black people; fuck all you black motherfuckers…I don’t give a damn about you: https://apnews.com/article/justice-department-police-reform-george-floyd-9d7cf00be8477e3dcb2fe1a658d73667 The Justice Department moved Wednesday to cancel settlements with Minneapolis and Louisville that called for an overhaul of their police departments following the killings of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor that became the catalyst for nationwide racial injustice protests in the summer of 2020. The Trump administration also announced it was retracting the findings of Justice Department investigations into six other police departments that the Biden administration had accused of civil rights violations.
  3. Should you really be this clueless about the world around you after being admitted to one of the best public universities in the country?
  4. NOEM: Why don’t you ask me about my pageant teeth I bought in Texas?
  5. Other than telling young men their disaffection is somebody else’s fault, I don’t detect the compelling message Republicans are making to them. It’s possible to be young, ignorant by choice, and irresponsible or you can be a similarly situated young Maxwell Frost.
  6. She’s a silly, disordered and unserious woman.
  7. Resistance tidbit. Went to the Rangers-Astros game Friday night. Was surprised to see that my bunch was not the only group who declined the invitation to stand and sing God Bless America at the bottom of the 6th.
  8. Jill Biden has never claimed to be a Ph.D. People who hate her are the ones hung up on that nothing burger. And as previously stated, the term, doctor was first used to acknowledge teachers - not medical doctors.
  9. Relax.I know what the Gleason score is. Trump doesn’t.
  10. Seems to me cognitive issues would negatively impact your ability to govern. I heard CNN toady, Van Jones, in an appearance with Jake Tapper, say the Dems will find it difficult to recover from deceiving the American people about Biden’s diminished state. Really? Didn’t the “American people” forget and forgive Trump for setting into motion an unprecedented assault on the nation’s Capitol?
  11. Biden’s dementia must be the kind that comes and goes. He didn’t seem at all mentally diminished when I watched his appearance on The View. Not bad for a guy, who according to Trump has “stage 9 prostate cancer.”
  12. There are 8 million people in DFW. SMU won’t need all of them. They’re making inroads for sure.
  13. This really should be required watching. We’re in trouble:
  14. She was shot breaking the law. This used to be catnip for them.
  15. I just don’t think I will ever understand why conservatives believe her family deserves anything.
  16. If SMU could ever get Dallas to embrace it as Austin has UT, they could be a player for a long time.
  17. Meanwhile… https://sports.yahoo.com/article/smu-lands-key-2026-commit-020834297.html
  18. Chuckle, if you don’t think this is true, check out the independents who call into Washington Journal every morning.
  19. I don’t think DEI is stupid at all. What is, however, is the demagogic assault on egalitarian ideals of diversity.equity and inclusion. The whole of point of creating an infrastructure that removes impediments to allowing the most competent and deserving people has been turned on its head for reasons that don’t make sense. Inclusion in a DEI rubric ensure physically impaired, those on the spectrum and other challenged but able people are not overlooked. What reasonable person could oppose such efforts? And if we want to keep it completely 100, but for a framework that promoted a desired outcome, 4% of the 52,000 UT students would not be African American. That, btw, is an embarrassingly low number.
  20. I think “ they” would like to value your feedback but in the end, it very seldom matters.
  21. I’m far from being a conspiracy theorist, but there might have been some high stakes hijinks in the vote results last November. It’s also possible that the election was lost when VP Harris was placed at the top of the ticket…and not because she bad. It was some other stuff that made people believe Trump would be the better choice the second time around.
  22. Campbell is doing what any similarly situated Texas Ex would do. That much should not be surprising. And fwiw, Texas would not have the richest and most prosperous athletic department in history if its goal was just to win, especially given how cyclical winning has been over the last 50 years.
  23. The hostility toward the Tech guy is a little surprising. It’s not like he’s some bug eyed Marxist. He’s using The Federalist to make his appeals, for crissakes. What he’s doing IMO, is using his moment in the Sun to help rich people with aligned interests understand that there’s enough money to go around to keep them rolling in it in perpetuity. Jerry Jones did this and made his buddies richer beyond their wildest dreams. Where Campbell may differ from Jerry is in his desire to win. In the money game, winning is gravy to Jerry. Again, those of us posting in this thread don’t concern them and their decision making in the least.
  24. His ability to multitask wouldn’t surprise me.
  25. That shouldn’t surprise anybody. Realistically, what would you expect a relatively young billionaire feeling his oats to do?
