  1. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I'm openly antagnostic to the middle class, have been for a long time. They have enabled the rise of people like Elon Musk while keeping poor Americans poorer. Interestingly enough when you use descriptives of who you are thinking of in terms of these voting blocks, you never describe middle class people.
  2. Yes, that is 100% what I'm saying. Again, I'm happy for the Democrats to lie to them for votes. Because better working class policies will result. But I'm not pretend Chad and Tynnyfer Middle Class' fee fees remotely reflect reality because they don't.
  3. This is simply the wage growth side of things. Add in that most middle class people absolutely are in equities, it's not even close. Hell, even a lot of working class are in equities with 401ks these days.
  4. Fixed income maybe, the middle class no way.
  5. I also find this sentiment insane. 2018 and more so 2019 were terrible years, 2022 and 2023 were miles better.
  6. Well, they aren't wrong is the thing. Again though, I'll reiterate, I'm not a Dem politician trying to win votes, and if the Dem's have to blow smoke up their asses to get votes I'm all for it. The uncomfortable truth that no one wants to admit is we are rapidly approaching the point where there are no more quality of life increases for the middle class. At this point we are down to nibbling at the edges in western society. The US needs universal healthcare and childcare, we are obviously the major outlier there. Other than that, UBI is necessary going forward. Continual incremental improvement in health outcomes and efficiency gains which are in the nice to have category. It's in out best interests to help raise the global living standard as it defuses a lot of conflict. But that's about it. And we are seeing the ennui and lashing out that comes from this with people with no internal sense of purpose. I mean, I've said for years that Liz Warren's entire being is defined by a deep psychosis over what happened to her father. It's so transparent. Ironically Steve Bannon is exactly the same. Sorry your dad was a dupe Steve.
  7. I mean, I told everyone who was touting the whole not many Trump yard signs thing that in my neck of the woods it was twice as intense. Accurate
  8. If the recent Rory Gallagher auction is any indication, this shit is gonna go for face melting money
  9. Got damn right
  10. 20241116_082627.mp4 I thought you classic car dudes would appreciate this. My old man's '67 427. We had really high tides this week so he asked to put it in my garage, since it's higher elevation than his.
  11. I agree with the first part, meh on the second
  12. Well, I am pretty verklempt these days
  13. So I haven't seriously followed boxing in quite some time, for lots of obvious reasons, but my gut instinct is there is no way this match isn't somewhat scripted.
  14. I'm not sure I would say I'm elated, but my anxiety basically went poof last Wednesday. I am cackling at every possible Trump nominee though.
  15. Generic far left dipshit is all I know
  16. I don't even know where to put this, but this is fucking awesome. https://www.cnbc.com/2024/11/14/the-onion-wins-alex-jones-infowars-in-bankruptcy-auction.html
  17. Except the other country has to agree. FWIW, I guess it's depends on your definition of difficult, but it's fairly straightforward to have a bank account overseas. Just time consuming.
  18. It an onerous process for them to do that, they have to show criminal connection to the money.
