  1. That was my first thought. I've had way crappier amps repaired.

Well at least you didn't start on the Cuervo Gold and the fine Columbian
  3. Interestingly enough I never really got the hang of it either, and I didn't set out to become passable at it, but I picked it up when I was doing triad practice. Once the muscle memory in my right fingers was there it's like can't unsee it. I think the time had come for all involved for Brent to leave, seemed like a bad situation. I was never super into them, I gave it a whirl when Leviathan came out, but too plodding for my tastes, I lean more thrash. But they are a very talented group. Not sure if you saw but Ben Eller is filling in.
  4. So I got some picks to try, one of which was some Jazz III XLs, and I didn't even have to open the damn bag to know these goddamn things are way too small. So if anyone wants a free bag of picks hit me up and I'll mail them too you. XL my ass
  5. Every guitar is a play it and don't worry about the dings situation. I've already chipped the paint on my '58 refin.
  6. I use a Voodoo Labs Pedal Power 3+. The Cioks units are great too. Turbo Tuner is probably the most solid unit out there, though I just got a Peterson Strobostomp mini for the form factor and have no complaints
  7. RIP Oderus

I broke down and preordered the updated Pompeii in Blu Ray for my dad and vinyl for me.

  10. I'm honestly curious what they would go for. My WAG maybe 500k? Rory Gallaghers Strat just went for 900, I don't think it would hit that number, but definitely not cheap. Alas, I still have baby doll.
  11. I'm honestly glad he is putting them on display, but no lie, I would pay an immense sum if he sold them
  12. Believe it or not, actually no. Not a fan of those.
  13. I hate to admit it, but I believe in McLaren again. I'm ready to be hurt
  14. Rex is a defense spending expert now huh.

  16. It's wild some of y'all actively want to live in a shittier world.
  17. I noted that the disadvantaged are not part of this, but I think you are underestimating the average Walmart customer. Or just extrapolating what you see to a bigger world. There’s plenty Wallys in affluent areas too. But I mean say Target if you want. Or Amazon or Temu in the modern world, it's all the same phenomenon. Shopping Malls back in the day etc etc...
  18. I don't disagree with what you wrote, but it has 100% been a two way street. Retail therapy, whatever you want to call it, a large segment of the American public spends money for a dopamine hit. Were they exploited? Sure. But they were also willing participants for the most part. Other than the disadvantaged, they could have opted out of the system if they wanted. I've set foot in a Walmart a grand total of twice in the past 20 years, and that was for immediate medical supplies. I've been boycotting Chinese made goods as much as humanly possible just as long. This has been a serious bugbear of mine for decades, 2016 has nothing to do with it. We as a people enabled this. I mean look around this forum, people gleefully shopped at Wally World, buy all sorts of disposable garbage that does nothing but make them feel good for a second, then get discarded. Just waste. Waste of resources, energy, you name it. It goes so far beyond simplistic shit like American factory jobs or whatever and gets the the very core of what sort of philosophy we have as a people. We should spend a lot more money on a lot less stuff, and that's really the long and sort of it. Stuff that is made by people with real skills. Your coffee maker, your car, your guitar, your clothes, your food, whatever, all of it. We are losing everything valuable and replacing it with stuff devoid of any value.
  19. It's both. My grandmother, who was all about the anti China rhetoric during the first Turnip go round, shops at Walmart like it's a fucking sport.
  20. I hybrid pick like half of the Rolling Stones catalog these days. Beast of Burden is so much easier.
  21. I mean they are on the way to Greenland, seems natural.
