  1. The Domain has been trending that direction since the Rock Rose development got rolling.
  2. Fucking agholes.
  3. I didn't make it too far, although I enjoyed seeing the footage. The humor of a douchebag from out of state shining a spotlight on how other douchebags from out of state have ruined our city wasn't lost on me, but it was ultimately too annoying to follow through till the end.
  4. Based on some of the morons we elect to the bench in this state, it's cold comfort that some of them are carrying in court.
  5. Looked like a neonazi convention in that tiny lobby. Fucking pigs.
  6. That has to be a bit, right?
  7. Has no one told him to move his fucking car? What's white privilege for if you don't use it? Some honky needs to step up.
  8. And to drive the point home, this is also the law in the U.S. Virgin Islands. They weren't flying somewhere to avoid it.
  9. Thanks. That makes perfect sense. That was once my neck of the woods, but I've been gone for a long time. Lots of family still up there. Dad was born in Hobbs, to his great shame, while my grandparents were visiting family. He's still unhappy to have been born outside of Texas, even though he was back on proper soil by his third day. I remember going to Seminole for golf tournaments in high school and being jealous of that oil money. We were lucky to get a ride to the tourney in a beater van that broke down all the time, and played in jeans and with our own sets of shitty cobbled together clubs. Seminole kids were decked out head to toe in school purchased clothes and gear, including very nice sets of clubs (even their fucking tees and balls were branded), and of course they had their own damn golf course (to go along with their own indoor pool). At least we routinely beat the shit of them in football and basketball, but putting our poverty on full display at those golf tournaments was uncomfortable, to say the least.
  10. “I’ve known Jeff for 15 years. Terrific guy. He’s a lot of fun to be with. It is even said that he likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side.” /s/ you know who
  11. Exactly the type of douchebag I'd love to see slammed with a defamation suit. They need the lesson.
  12. Thanks. It looks like the Lubbock area was added, which is where most of the population out there is located, along with Amarillo. Not much more than dirt and mesquite in those remaining gray areas, although I'm curious why the pocket just West of Lubbock wasn't included (Lamb, Hockley, etc. Regardless, the additions covered the vast majority of the people out there.
  13. I thought the parts of the panhandle that weren't on the same grid as the rest of the Texas were moved onto it last year. Welcome to ERCOT, bitches!
  14. They only recently (September I think) made lane splitting formally illegal in Texas. I ride myself, and have never lane split in Texas as cops would nail you for reckless driving even before they formally outlawed lane splitting. In Austin, we have a ton of California transplants. You combine that with a complete lack of traffic policing (none at all) and you get a ton of lane splitting happening here. I don't really blame the transplants, it's what they're used to. The way moron car and truck drivers around here can't stay in their lane even when they're not staring at their phone, I wouldn't risk it personally. If I were king for a day, I'd have unmarked enforcement driving up and down 2222 between Mopac and 360, noting every single person who ventures outside of their lane. They would all lose their driving privileges for life. If you can't keep a truck between the lines, much less a sedan, you don't deserve to drive. I drive or ride that stretch of road daily and can't believe how shitty most drivers are. If we properly tested people before giving them a license, half the drivers, at least, would be off the road (traffic congestion solved)! If you see an angry man leaning out of his window trying to give another driver a piece of his mind on that stretch of road, it's probably me. Too many assholes have damn near killed my kids on the way to school because they can't be bothered to pay attention while they drive (or simply lack the basic driving skills necessary to maintain control of a vehicle on a slightly curvy road). I would also take out the assholes on motorcycles generating all the noise pollution late at night racing up and down that same stretch of road. They make the rest of us look bad. EDIT TO ADD: And to get back on topic - Houston drivers suck too.
  15. I you ain't livin' you dyin'.
  16. It's prima facie defamation in most states. Rodgers will settle if Kimmel sues.
  17. Most of them.
  18. Rodgers' dumb ass finally caught up with his mouth. A First Amendment defense for prima facia defamation isn't going to fly on this one. He ticked all the boxes. I hope Jimmy drains that conspiracy-loving king of the morons' bank account. Rodgers has been a piece of shit since college (likely before). He's the classic moron who thinks he's smarter than everyone else despite all evidence pointing to the contrary.
  19. Many Texas men are already well versed in looking the other way when they know children are being assaulted. The Southern Baptist Church has been training them for decades.
  20. I've known plenty of "white trailer park trash" who are ultimately good-hearted folks who don't commit crimes. For fucks sake, all I was trying to get across is that my reaction to her response is colored by her motivation, which we have no way of knowing for certain. I wasn't defending her or the cops, but I'm getting it from both ends on this thread. Clearly, I'm communicating poorly so I'll bow out.
