  1. Right you are. http://www.stopbaptistpredators.org/index.htm
  2. Winner. Baby Got Back now playing in my head while considering Heim BBQ for lunch.

Love me some Cotten's having grown up in Corpus Christi. One of my four food groups growing up was 5 chopped beef sammiches for $1 at Roy's BBQ in CC, and the fact that there was a location on Staples across from King HS insured that I never ate a cafeteria meal there in three years. God I miss those wonderful meals almost as much as the wonderful people who cooked them and knew me by my name when I came to see them.
  4. F-9, the Fast Saga. Worth seeing in XD and a continuation of one of the most successful movie franchises in history. Especially enjoyable when there are only four people in a 165 seat theatre and no cellphone interruptions.
  5. Other than having more bugs than any streaming app (which sucks balls whenever it freezes), still enjoy the programming. Hacks/Mare definitely brought Jean Smart back to centerstage after a long absence and she should win every award nominated for. No Sudden Move last night was also outstanding, but can't get Rami Malek as Freddy Mercury out of my head whenever he is in a program. Malek and Denzel Washington killed it in NSM.
  6. This. Hoping there is a season four.
  7. Sorry for your loss Tailgate. Never easy bidding farewell to a loving dog which I am sure Tank was to you and your family. My family and I are still telling stories about the ways our dogs enriched our lives with love and humorous memories and it has eased the pain of loss as does the passage of time. Good boy Tank!

Still makes me laugh to this day as much as when I heard it live in 2017. Oh, and where are all of the Fat Lives Matter organizers after reading this thread??😁 Don't answer-likely pounding Krispy Kreme or churros.
  9. Good girl, Cass💖

Yeah, like I just drank liquor/tequila because I enjoyed the taste.🤪 Near beer and this scenario remind me that for most normal folks drinking alcohol or non-alcohol is an option. I'm closer to normal today than ever before leaving this option to those who have already arrived.
  11. If you have a chance, the Hilton Waikoloa Village has a Dolphin Quest that was one of the most enjoyable experiences the wife and I had while on Kona. https://dolphinquest.com/big-island-hawaii/
  12. If you are bluffing with a gun pointed at someone and they call your bluff, this is the result. Either go all in or fold with firearms.
  13. One more childhood memory bought up by a corporation. Shipley donuts were a Saturday morning tradition.
  14. Stories like this are why I'm glad I have had canine kids in my life for over 35 years. And when they are gone, the stories always bring a smile/laugh from whoever else has a dog.
  15. 12 Mighty Orphans Thoroughly enjoyed this adaptation of Jim Dent's book. Still amazed at the miracle season of 1940 that a group of twelve unwanted and undersized boys, no equipment, no practice field, and an administration both at the school and the UIL could have actually made the state title game against Amarillo. Lots of Ft Worth landmarks are easily recognizable in this film and the ending is worth the price of the ticket.

First Father's day since my son died in January. I cried a little bit this morning on the 7am zoom meeting recalling how fond I was to receive a call from him wishing me a happy day and telling me how much he loved me. I will always remember those phone calls but more than that, I went to a 9am in person meeting and spent some time with a man who got 60 days today and then chaired the 11 am speaker meeting for a friend who played at UT in the 80's for Fred. My extended AA family is always here for me on days like this and no one knows how to help an alcoholic like another alcoholic. My story expands with each day like this when I do what is suggested in the program instead of isolating-a character defect that I am grateful to have had removed by doing my part. Happy Father's day to each of you here-hug your kids and thank God they are in your life.
  17. Hope you can take comfort in the wonderful times you shared for those 13.5 years together. I know that each of the four dogs I have had to euthanize had the best life they could have ever had just as yours. Prayers in the days ahead for your.
  18. If you don't see this, turn around, you're in the wrong place.😎 And Big D, she is depending on you as she has here entire life to take care of her. I have taken comfort in knowing that the last face those wonderful canine kids I have had the joy of sharing life with would be mine. You and your family will be in my prayers tomorrow as you say until we meet again sweet Hanna. Good girl.
  19. ISWYDT-and I endorse this message fully.😄

The 74th Texas State AA Convention concluded yesterday here in Cowtown and it was truly a spiritual experience. One of the most enjoyable moments was when my wife and I got to meet two sisters from Atlanta, Georgia. Their mother has been sober for a number of years and tried to share the message with them but they were not ready. However, she was determined that her girls needed help and reached out to a member of our group here in Ft. Worth who she once dated. He was able to encourage one of the girls to attend a zoom meeting of our group and soon she was joined by her sister. Neither one of them had ever attended an in person meeting until last Friday, when they came to our 7am meeting and were mobbed by the crowd that had shown up after the meeting restrictions were lifted. We got to be their tour guides on Saturday and had lunch with 15 members on the Northside at a famous Mexican restaurant. God used Zoom technology to connect these women with us and the life they both now lead is based in recovery and helping others. Looking forward to the meetings in Austin next year and hearing about other miracles such as this one.
  21. Wise County-biggest misnomer in the entire State.
  22. The Sparkling City by The Sewer continues to never disappoint. If it wasn't for HS reunions, I would never return to the town I where I grew up.
  23. Daaaaayyum!!! Baby Got Back in this video fo' sho'.
  24. Saw that yesterday on the way to breakfast at Righteous Foods. More housing/apartments coming here?
