  1. Good dog Shelby. You have a doppleganger in Callie that you should look up. She was the wife and my first dog and gave us the best 18 years of her life.
  2. The Original Kincaids is on Camp Bowie, next to a great dive bar, the Showdown. It was very convenient back in the day to call in an order, leave the bar, return to the bar and eat a great burger with cold beer. The other location is off of Hulen across from the mall-quality is still the same there. Someday you gotta get one of these burgers!
  3. We were headed south on Bryant Irvin last night between Vickery and Edwards Ranch Road when I saw the roaring fire that was rapidly consuming the apartments. The FD had not arrived yet but by the time we got to Arborlawn, there were multiple trucks headed that way.
  4. One of the reasons Surly rocks and others suck.
  5. Charley's Old Fashioned Hamburgers in Ft Worth is my favorite choice. The Project X is a spiritual experience and the fresh cut fries cannot be beat.
  6. Those pictures say it all. Look at those feet in the sink picture!! Gonna be a great addition to your family and you deserve all the joy that your new best friend will bring you. Cheers!!
  7. The Corner and the Daily Double were known for such.
  8. Sending good thoughts and prayers for serenity your way. Hold each other as a family, cry those tears together, mourn the loss, and remember the wonderful life you all gave Reba-she could not have done better for a family.
  9. http://www.borderlandbeat.com/ Another site that has some of the latest information on cartel activity.
  10. There's not enough PPE or hazmat uniforms anywhere that could make removal of said carpet safe. Chernobyl/Three Mile Island would have been less hazardous. That said, VIP was a true bar that was always on the annual White Trash Pub Crawl and never disappointed.
  11. Our hearts ache with yours Sbbruin. The last day spent with Zeke saw him getting his own smoked tenderloin, hugs, belly rubs, and constant reminders of just how thankful we both were for the joy he brought into our lives. May your last moments spent with Crosby be filled with the memories you have shared together and knowing you have given him a great life and will one day be reunited with him.
  12. Here is a link that explains the change: https://www.msn.com/en-us/foodanddrink/foodnews/in-fort-worth-a-new-combo-el-rancho-grande-changes-hands-will-it-keep-the-chips/ar-BB19hbiW
  13. Rocky and Bella sending good thoughts to all of you. Come on Crosby.
  14. We got our 2nd Pfizer shot on Saturday with no side effects. Texas Health in Bedford ran the smoothest operation I have ever seen.
  15. Moe's is legit home cooking like West Side. Prices are 1980's style and the CFS is equal to the Massey's version when they owned the best CFS in cowtown title every year.
  16. Had to have been AWFUL-but still one of the best Homer Call of the Week winners on the Ticket.
  17. 1965 vs Arky-started 4-0 and lost 27-24 when Jon Brittenum could always find Bobby Crockett open. Lost 3 out of 4 to the private SWC schools but beat ATM to end the season 6-4. Watched the game with my best friend who was a huge Arky fan and wanted to serve him a Drano cocktail after the game ended. He moved to San Antonio in '68 and robbed me of payback when the '69 game ended in our favor. 1964 vs Arky-a missed 2 pt conversion prevented a 2nd straight shot at a NC. Settled for beating Namath and Bammer in the Orange Bowl. 1978 vs ND Cotton Bowl-six straight weeks ranked #1 and were never in this game. 1984 vs Georgia Cotton Bowl-considered joining the Peace Corps as repenting since I was sure God hated me. Got drunk instead and barked at the moon. 2001 vs Colorado Big 12 title game-was watching this while at a party and was asked to leave when my language got a little too colorful for the host. 2008 Tech, 2010 Bama NC, everything in between with a few exceptions regarding OU from 2010-2020.
  18. In the early 60's, when I visited my aunt & uncle in Nocona, I remember making that long drive to WF to secure adult beverages because Montague county was dry. The only decent reason for going to WF used to be to watch Rider and WF in their annual grudge match. Patterson will hopefully get what he deserves and be buried under the courthouse.
  19. Until January 23rd, I worked two blocks north of here and loved El Rancho Grande's chips and salsa. Gonna have to venture back to the Northside when the snow melts and give this place some business.
  20. Always amazes me that my canine kids will roll around in snow in the winter, cow shit on a ranch in summer, and swim in tanks that could be described as petrie dishes.
  21. I heard in a meeting one time that it's good the program is called Alcoholics Anonymous-otherwise, Assholes Anonymous would have been the second choice.
  22. Yeah, that's not a problem 'cause they drive friendly in Texas. . . . . . .🤪
  23. 123 has 73 inside and a fireplace roaring. Stay warm 107, my former location along with 110.

    RIP, Larry Flynt

You and I will be riding the express train to hell together!
  25. I worked two miles west of this area between Northside Drive and NE 28th. I retired on January 29th and am thankful I no longer have to drive in these conditions. Prayers for the families who lost loved ones in this horrible disaster.
