  1. I guess it's Moro Ojomo's turn to get high reviews from PFF.
  2. This feels rediculously much like the end of 2018, except OU is fully in our rearview mirror. I expect an Alabama-game-esque turnout from both our players and fans. Maybe we'll knock THEIR QB out of the game (just kidding (sort of)).
  3. Looks like D'Onta is about to get a huge opportunity.
  4. https://twitter.com/bad_boy_necco/status/1576301989243543554?s=46&t=lCID3bV9dnT8yw5qylWN-Q
  5. This announcement pretty much guarantees that bottles will be thrown.
  6. The TTU game this weekend has me wondering. How would everyone order the in-state football programs from most hated to least hated or most liked? I'll take a stab at it. Tier 1 (born to hate): Aggy Tier 2 (grown to hate): Rapelor Tier 3 (obnoxious): Toads Tier 4 (meh at best to slightly annoying at worst unless we're playing them): Sand Aggy, Cougar High, SMU, Tier 5 (might actually cheer for sometimes): UTSA, UTEP, RICE, North Texas, etc.
  7. I have some advice for some of y'all who have never taken or paid attention in a stats class. Break the data down to meaningful units. So for evaluating the offense, consider yards/play, points/drive, turnovers/drive, etc. Hook'em.
  8. Early forecasts are predicting a high in the mid-80s next weekend. I still wish the game would be at night, but that's pretty bearable for early September.
  9. Alabama THE Ohio State Notre Dame Utah I feel bad for any of you who legitimately think we'll be in the playoffs this year, but dream on.
  10. If we see something surprising, what will it most likely be? It wouldn't shock me to see Jamison replaced at CB. I also think Kitan Crawford will be rotated in heavily, even if he doesn't start.
  11. Do people really expect ULM to score more on us than ULL? 45-13. Bijan will rush for 143 and receive for 22.
  12. Is Watts a massive corner, Overshown a small LB, or both? They look to be about the same size.
  13. Give me the QB who can literally hit open receivers with his eyes closed over the guy who practices full sprint off balance backfoot side arm bullshit throws.
  14. I refuse to make predictions, but I just want to make a point about the QB competition. The Texas message boards have a loooong history of writing QBs off too soon, and Colt McCoy forever screwed up our expectations for freshman. VY flashed talent but was overall not great his first season. People wanted him to move to WR. Shane Buechele didn't appear to have what it took to succeed at the college level, and freshman Ehlinger had many people on this site thinking he was "simple". Card very well could develop here or he is another Buechele/Jerrod Heard. Ewers may be the greatest freshman ever or he may need to go through growing pains as well. All that goes to say that the only prediction I am willing to make is that we will likely need Card to let his nuts hang at several points throughout the season. He better have them ready.
  15. I was wondering the same thing. Do these TV companies have any kind of evaluation process for coaches or do they hire based on name recognition and assume they can train them up on the job?
  16. I don't care what an OL recruit weighs. Strength, athleticism, frame, work ethic, intelligence, and a "bad" attitude mean so much more.
  17. I get it. That's just one of my favorite jokes. I'm not very funny.
  18. It is always so very heartwarming to see people serving the more fortunate.
  19. Y'all remember two classes ago when we we failed to get commitments from Jack Leyrer, Ryan Lengyel, and Michael Myslinski? This is much more fun! God bless Kyle Flood.
  20. It would be great to add a talented edge rusher, but it needs to be the right guy for the right price. There's a bigger picture and team chemistry to consider that gets lost when we focus on one guy as a "savior".
  21. Omeire is worth holding onto even if he can just stay healthy long enough to play up to his potential for half a season.
