  1. Some of y’all have been ruminating on the same talking points for the last 4 months and it shows. 1 more week of wallowing in the unknown I guess.
  2. Tell me you don’t actually watch college football without telling me you don’t actually watch college football.
  3. It feels like every offseason I get sucked into the hype of believing that an upperclassman will finally break out. This year it is Collins, and I think it actually make rational sense. This is his “contract year” and the coaches seem to really believe in him/have specific plans for him. I’d love to see it.
  4. Not quite. He will be publicly committing to a new commitment date. New ground for Hayes Fawcett.
  5. Honestly, if he commits to Miami after allowing all the hype and angst to build up between us and swamp aggy, I will just lmao and tip my cap.
  6. Of the four games we lost in the regular season last year, two were defensive slugfests at home to teams that were just slightly better than us and two were classic Sark 2nd half collapses on the road against dangerous offenses. This year, we should cruise through our 6 home games and beat ou in Dallas. Bama will obviously be a tough defense, and our other road games could get interesting, but I don’t see how we don’t win fewer than 3 of of them. Someone please take this bottle of kool-aid from me.
  7. From the context of this thread, I assume we’re just talking regular season. I voted 10 wins, because I believe that to be our potential, but 9 or even 8 is very possible. 11+ regular season wins would be orgasmic. Assuming we play at least a total of 14 games, 9-5 would entail a rough ending to an otherwise solid regular season.
  8. Just all the more reason to pay attention to offer lists than rankings. A highly ranked class is fun for the week of signing day. A well built roster is greater fun for the other 51.
  9. Is one of our targets announcing on the 4th or did plans change?
  10. Good question. You would probably need to focus more on top 20 selections or something like that. A little subjectivity would likely also be required.
  11. It would be interesting for someone to analyze the careers of surprise first round picks to see how they pan out in comparison to the average first rounder.
  12. So in other words, they contract a case of Aggy (which is chronic, debilitating, and potentially hereditary) and are never the same. Sounds about right.
  13. He looks exactly what I would have expected for our QB in this class following Manning with under-the-radar potential. It will be interesting to see if he can take the next step this fall.
  14. Winning (spring games) is hard. Particularly for our edgE rushers going against perhaps our best tackle since Leonard Davis. However, one data point in favor of Sorrell is that I think he MIGHT have turned our first play from scrimmage into a sack in an actual game. Either way, it was a solid rep worth noting.
  15. Y'all, it was the spring game. Chill. That said, do we have any takeaways on positions other than QB? Did any freshmen look impressive?
  16. This will be the balancing factor. Not every recruit wanting to take an official visit every single weekend will have an equal number of suitors. Only the elite 5 stars will get that treatment.
  17. Imagine you're gaining some recognition in your career and multiple companies are recruiting you to come in and interview for an executive position and then go out to dinner on their dime, but there is some dumb law that you can only interview with 5 companies. Let the kids have as many damn visits as they want.
  18. I just can't wrap my head around how he was just live streaming that shit. He deserves to suffer the consequences he has coming.
  19. We already knew this, but Maalik is huge.
