  1. fwiw, i'd mostly just copy this menu except, swap some sausage in for the chicken. swap mac and cheese for the sauteed veggies. toss a loaf of mrs baird's bread and some butter on every table. *the vanilla ice cream must be whatever equivalent is as good as blue bell... didn't HEB have a pretty good one (hope they're open)
  2. my son and i just watched valley uprising. lots of "oh hell naw" going on in that movie, especially free-climber (no ropes), Alex Honnald.
  3. look at that closing speed. he got any eligibility left?
  4. That's awesome. We'll give it a try Sunday if they're open. Rancho is hosting a crawfish boil on the 14th if you're looking for something to do. Not sure if we're gonna go but just got the email and RSVPs are due before the 6th.
  5. I'll be there from the 12th to the 15th and will be hitting up all the usual places.
  6. I almost replied with this exact same post. My extended family is from Coleman. Spent many a summer there including my college summers working on a few ranches. Robert and Laurie, who own Rancho Loma and Rancho Pizza are great friends and really good people. When they first opened Rancho Loma it was affordable enough that as a college kid I could take a date there. Big O's is also a family staple for us.
  7. Don't get saucy with me, Bearnaise!
  8. When changing email address if you don't respond to the confirmation email then it eventually reverts back to the email you had before, i thought? so you may want to look into that. Can anyone else confirm this?
  9. yeah, but waaaay too many fucking brazil nuts. guaranteed.
  10. Really really good. Judas, Caiaphas, Annas, MaryM all cast perfectly. Glad they stayed pretty faithful to the original score. Caught one change and one mistake. -one of Pilates lines, "what is truth? Is truth unchanging law? We both have truths, are mine the same as yours?" Was pretty heavily changed. I am sure there were other small edits. -legend came in a few bears behind on one line toward the end. It was a part where I bet 95% didn't notice because of how repetitive the music is at times. Would watch again.
  11. Yeah, it was only for a couple of seconds as he walked in, but it was some much needed levity. And mirth can be one of nature's best ways to numb pain.
  12. Would loved to have grilled today. But, it's April and I've got 3+ inches of snow on the ground today. Since the first day of spring we've had 12 inches of snow. Man, fuck the midwest winters.
  13. Hey Torquemada, whaddya say? I just got back from the Auto-de-fe. Auto-de-fe, what’s the Auto-de-fe? It’s what they ought’nt to do but they do anyway.
  14. Action Park looked amazing and terrifying at the same time. That upcoming Johnny Knoxville movie looks to be lightly based around it. Do yourself a favor and watch this video about Action Park
  15. one of the best threads on the former site. re-posts always welcome.
  16. truth. blantons, er, etl, mck all easily found here. but for some reason being nextdoor to ky i can rarely find any weller offerings. when it's on the shelf it's as good as gone.
  17. not my idea, posted in the general forum name nominations thread: Prestige Worldwide
  18. fisnished beer 3 and heading into my 5th eagle rare. my in-laws place is really exciting.
  19. Was at Tim Brown's induction into the Texas Sports Hall of Fame and got to sit at his table (2005, iirc). Met Augie Garrido at the event (he was also being inducted), RIP. Was an usher at church on Ash Wednesday a few years ago and the brothers Harbaugh came in (NFL combine was taking place). Talked to them for a short second and then helped them find a pew. Chatted with Les Miles at a juco football game when he was on the sideline scouting a QB - Zach Mettenberger. Did a Sunday communion/scripture service for the Eagles when they couldn't find a priest to say Mass. Stayed and ate dinner with the team afterwards. Did not tell them I was a Cowboys fan - it was too unique of an experience to pass up.
