  1. second game of the season and little BGS took an outside pitch, stepped toward first, and drove an opposite-field home run. gave him a swat on the butt as he sprinted around first.
  2. brew... you can't taste it. trust me. my wife refuses anything with mayo - it repulses her. i've never told her how i cook the GC and never will.
  3. ate there two weeks ago when we were in coleman. solid move on the tots. hope you tried some fried pickles.
  4. gagged a little thinking about mayo & pbj sandwich. random use i have for mayo - outside of a grilled cheese instead of butter. i get a far more even, crispy, and overall better toasting than when using butter. can cover the entire slice with an even layer. can't taste the mayo once cooked.
  5. We’re going nine days. Three in NYC drive to Montreal for 3 days. Drive to Quebec for 3 days. Fly home.
  6. Just so the recipe link is here at the new home and I don't have to venture back to Scat Palace to find this, https://www.homesicktexan.com/2007/01/essence-of-tex-mex.html Don't forget the crackers and fried egg. Ingredients Ingredients for the gravy: 1/4 cup lard or vegetable oil 1/4 cup all-purpose flour 1/2 teaspoon black pepper 1 teaspoon kosher salt 1 teaspoon powdered garlic 2 teaspoon ground cumin 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano 2 tablespoons chili powder 2 cups beef broth, chicken broth, or water Ingredients for the cheese enchiladas 1/2 cup vegetable oil 8 corn tortillas 3 cups shredded cheddar cheese 1 medium yellow onion, diced Instructions To make the gravy, heat the oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Stir in the flour and continue stirring for 3 to 4 minutes, or until it makes a light brown roux. Add the black pepper, salt, powdered garlic, ground cumin, dried oregano, and chili powder and continue to cook for 1 minute, constantly stirring and blending ingredients. Add broth or water, mixing and stirring until the sauce thickens. Turn heat to low and let sauce simmer for 15 minutes. Add water to adjust the thickness. To make the enchiladas, preheat the oven to 450° F and grease a large baking dish. Pour the oil in a small skillet, and heat the tortillas one at a time. Keep them wrapped in a cloth until all 8 are heated. Pour 1/2 cup of chili gravy in a baking pan. Take a tortilla, put 1/4 cup of cheese and 1 tablespoon of onion in the center and roll it. Place rolled tortilla in baking dish, seam side down. Continue with remaining tortillas. Take remaining chili gravy, and pour it over the rolled tortillas. Sprinkle remaining cheese and onions on top. Bake for 10 minutes or until sauce is bubbly and cheese is melted.
  7. pics of coworker aren't showing up for me.
  8. Which juco guys did y'all grab?
  9. Taking a small group there this summer (10 or less). They want to hit the church/historic sites which is easy enough to plan but give me some ideas on other stuff to do, favorite restaurants, great places to wander, etc.
  10. Gibberish. Some dude in the late 1800s thought ski-yoo was an Indian victory cry. It’s not. Then they added the mah so it’d rhyme with “rah” and they could use it in rallies and cheerleading. So basically gibberish. Hullabaloo and what not.
  11. Finally an end to those abortion 2-color helmets. Worst helmet ever in the nfl hands down.
  12. that was weird. and only for a few seconds a couple of times.
  13. Usually every week - I just used mine yesterday. They disappear on Wednesday since you can't use them today and usually get sent out on Thursdays for the next week.
  14. Finished the cash show a few times on q12 sometimes winning sometimes losing. After a couple months I still have less than $15 in my account. It's fun though. Try and play as much with wife on her phone and oldest son on mine when we can.
  15. Kansas jucos- there is an entire conference - have lots of recent and historical success at getting D1 talented players to big time programs after a 1 or 2 year stint when they weren't recruited to big schools because of where they're from. No shocker that they'd rather do that than play at Kansas for 3 or 4 years.
  16. -You know, just now I really felt how much you like me. -You're probably zoning in on my brain waves or something. -Well, not really. I felt it on my leg.
  17. Barbara Bush passed away. No one on here had her, but I can't imagine GHW being around much longer now. RIP to her.
  18. Hardly ever hear about a normal pregnancy any more. The sophistication of medicine and the ability to test and look and see every little development makes it very tough for anything to sneak past. I'm no doctor and I didn't stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night, just speaking from personal experience and watching all of my friends and their (their wives') pregnancies. Hope it all works out man. T&p.
  19. took the approach i do with my chili - stages. (all these are approximations) sauteed the onion and garlic for about 10 mins took another 10 mins or so to reduce the wine after adding the crushed tomatos (28 oz can) cooked for another 15-20 added the spices, s&p and cooked for another 20 or so added the fresh cut tomatoes and finished for 15 mins or so if it ever got too thin during any step you could add some broth or water. all in all it probably cooked for 90mins.
  20. Which Kansas sports team is better - Men's Basketball or Football?
