  1. what does a 75 bps cut translate to for avg 30 year rate?
  2. gurt

    Bert!

He’s gotta be odds on favorite to be 1st team all conference.
  3. I'm not saying he won't get better or that he's a bust, I'm just saying he isn't going to become a guy that makes people miss. He just doesn't have the hips for it. Anyways, this isn't really the thread for this so I'll stop belaboring the point.
  4. Not what I said, but whatever. You could tell the agility and balance that Bijan or JB had when they were freshman. Baxter is never going to be that type of runner. He might be more effective when he is healthy and adds more strength and size, but he has limited ability when it comes to making a man miss and that won't change.
  5. Not really. You pretty much are what you are for most qualities at running back, especially when it is an instinctual quality. IOW, Baxter is who he is. He might get stronger and be able to run through arm tackles better, but he is not going to suddenly have the balance and agility that Bijan or Brooks have.
  6. They had much more success running the ball when we were subbing in Broughton, Carter and Finkley. The backups were worse, shocking I know. But it does make me question why we were doing such wholesale substitutions. I can see Sweat needing to be spelled, but did we have to also take out Sorrell and Murphy at the same time? I think this speaks to our complacency when we think we have a game in the bag.
  7. yeah he still had some ugly ducks, the pick and a couple over the middle to Mitchell. Granted, Mitchell quit on them but they were not what I would call NFL quality
  8. Could someone explain how things work when you have a passing game coordinator that isn't the DC? Is PK only calling what the front 6/7 are doing on a given play and the secondary is instructed by Joseph? If PK calls for a blitzing LB is it up to Joseph to set the coverage based off of that?
  9. We really stopped getting pressure in the second half, we seemed to stop bringing any blitzes and tried to cover our way to the end of the game. Don’t know why, after so many examples to the contrary, we would go away from bringing pressure. On a related note, we really haven’t gotten consistent pressure with just the DL as the season as worn on, especially from the edge. Burke has had some good moments but Sorrell hasn’t really taken the next step like I thought he would. For the D to truly become dominant we need to be able to pressure the QB with just the front four.
  10. Has been my experience too. Was nothing from q3 2022 to q2 2023 but since then have had quite a few.
  11. I thought Conner was quite good and this seems to corroborate that. He stayed on blocks much better than he did against BYU.
  12. Anybody got the Scipio defensive post Mortem?
  13. Klein ran a lot of all curls on us in the second half. They picked up that we are terrible in zone, especially the linebackers. Multiple times we had two guys cover the same receiver or like in this case, take false steps for no apparent reason.
  14. Now it makes sense why he moves like an office bound, 40 something middle manager, he has the same afflictions as one.
  15. if scripting the first two series worked so well for Maalik, why didn't Sark just script the whole game?! Sometimes I don't think he really is a football genius...
  16. Agreed. I'm not sure why Keilan hasn't gotten more touches, the few times he has he's run hard and made things happen.
  17. far more nasty than perhaps our best blocking WR ever? I think Gerry might be selling this guy a bit too hard.
  18. huh, I woulda thought a guy named Biff was destined for success.
