  1. When the lady with the two dogs was trying to collect them my wife said “those are cute - are they boxers?” The lady responded with a one word answer - “pit.” Now, maybe that lady was lying. Or maybe, like you suggest, she’s a big pussy and thinks anything’s a pit. My concern was a little different. When those dogs, or any dogs, decide to attack - and there is more than anecdotal evidence out there that dogs will attack - is there something a responsible parent can arm a 9 and 15 year old with that will give them a chance to fight off an attacking dog? So far the leader in the clubhouse is my suggestion of bear spray and a distant second is “pedal faster - retrievers bite too.” I’ve got no problem with gun rights or AR ownership. But I’m not giving that to my 9 year old for neighborhood activity.
  2. We’ve got it all. Fire station, former Cowboys cheerleader, taco joint, Delta 8 smoke shop, dry cleaner, law firms, golf carts (for sale now - way too dangerous) and pit bulls.
  3. Double post.
  4. Ms. Durand can’t hear you. A pit mix ate her ears and face off.
  5. This is my personal favorite. https://www.cbsnews.com/amp/news/jacqueline-durand-disfigured-attack-dogs-lawsuit/ she should have pedaled faster like deej.
  6. You’re right. I should have thought of that. I’m going to sell the golf cart this very day. Thank you. Next question - if my kids are out riding their bikes in the neighborhood, or maybe a scooter or a skateboard, or maybe just out for a walk, and they encounter something dangerous. Not as dangerous as a golf cart mind you, but mildly dangerous, like say… a pit bull. If that were to happen, what are good tools my kids can use to defend against that pit bull?
  7. That is your right, but be advised - team golf cart is preparing for war mf’er. We’re even arming the children.
  8. Thread revive! We have a golf cart and drive around our neighborhood doing neighborly things. And sometimes my kids take it out. One side of my neighborhood has multiple homes where persons own pit bull like dogs. It’s not like I see one every day but last Sunday saw two, off leash. Young puppies but they won’t be for long. So, how do I protect my kids if they’re out in the golf cart and some pit bull decides it wants some action. 15yo and 9yo. I’m thinking a legit can of bear spray. Anyone got any better ideas?
  9. What color loofah means what? I think I can figure out brown on my own.
  10. Reading about the hog warts and kiss retirement communities has me thinking… 1. I don’t want to retire in one of these communities. 2. If I have to do so, buffet isn’t bad. I’ll take that over Harry Potter, Kid Rock or some of the other suck ideas on here. 3. I want to visit for a big weekend like Labor Day. Give me 3 days to just go drink, people watch and take it in. I’ll be like Saul Goodman running bingo. 4. If one must live in one of these communities… what is ideal? If you could get me a red dirt/Texas country version somewhere south of corpus on the coast, I might be in. Alternatively, I would take a Ben Harper/jack Johnson setup in Kauai.
  11. I sat in an M3 in a showroom once, and out of habit I depressed the clutch and shifted the car from 1st to neutral. The salesperson, who didn't own a freaking thing in that building except his JC Penney tie, had heart-attack level rage at me. I'm no tranny synchro expert but I believe my move was ok. - salesperson was uppity and made it a point to shit on me. FU bro, I wanted a Grand Cherokee anyway.
  12. since we’re all chiming in with hot takes, I’ll go. I’m on the fence on this one. On the one hand, this dude bought a station wagon which generally indicates he’s soft and resigned to hauling groceries car seats and a golden doodle, but On the other hand he bought a tear-ass German performance car that can blow the doors off of about 90 percent of the cars on the road, which tends to show he’s got some spunk. Then, he disguises this car as the slowest version of said soccer mommer, as a subterfuge, so that when he elects to unleash the beast, the shock and surprise of others, likely strangers, will be increased. He’s a showman. I think this is somewhat better than the guy that puts a wing and a muffler on a dodge neon. But probably south of the person that just has a badass car and doesn’t need to try to camouflage it. So there, I’ve seen worse, and seen better.
  13. I believe you will find that, if over 40 and the recipient of adverse action, and then replaced by someone under 40, there arises a presumption of age discrimination. good employment lawyers may get you farther down the track than you anticipate. There are real tight timelines so don’t wait.
  14. What are you going to do with the bones?
  15. Yep. Did you see The Who that put up the horns at the end? Good show.
  16. I heard once that the rotation causes a black out or broken neck and the occupants die before hitting ground. Or maybe not. Maybe they go out like Chief smearing around poo on the windows.
  17. Thread hijack - stanco, we’re you at seussical last night?
  18. Where is the rollercoaster splat thread? it’s one of two things - either this ride had a size weight limit and this “rider” was unsuitable for the ride; or the ride restraints were improperly used. Right?
  19. The bar where they give you the free shot of tequila if you buy a $1 beer, Nuevo Laredo. Best guess is about 3 blocks east of the mercado but I kinda lost my bearings that day. Basically take your worst story from the posts above and add the fear of the unknown that lurks with dark bathrooms in Nuevo Laredo. Makes that trainspotting stall look like the kitchen at Jeffrey's.
  20. I think Corrigan sucks. There, I said it. Timpson, Tenaha, Garrison and San Augustine, you're on the list too.
  21. Perspective matters. If you’ve just received a speeding ticket in diboll or corrigan, and eaten the truck stop tacos in North Carthage, well then, Marshall might be a real treat. if not, 70 miles to Texarkana, where you can have some real excitement.
  22. The Marshall Chamber of Commerce needs you.
  23. What’s in Avinger other than a windowless “game room” where methheads play 8 liners and a bait stand?
  24. Yeah dumbass. Go try to buy a French Bulldog.
