  1. If he's going to make his final decision "soon," I think that has got to bode well for Texas. My thought is that he came in, Texas blew him away, he's gone home to think about it, and now is close to 98% certain that he knows where he wants to go: Texas. The problem he faces is having to let the FSU coaches know. That's my homer take. But each day that he waits to decide, though, is a chance for more and more FSU fans to get in his ear.
  2. Flip. Flop. Flip. Flop. First there was the U-Turn on TikTok. Now he's done a 180 on crypto-currencies --- one week after announcing that his campaign would accept donations in cryptocurrency. "Donald Trump’s position on cryptocurrencies seemed relatively clear. For years, the Republican called them a “disaster waiting to happen,” adding that as far as he was concerned, Bitcoin seemed “like a scam.” When it came to crypto, the former president said he was “not a fan,” adding, “Unregulated Crypto Assets can facilitate unlawful behavior, including drug trade and other illegal activity." Trump today: “VOTE FOR TRUMP! Bitcoin mining may be our last line of defense against a CBDC [central bank digital currency]. Biden’s hatred of Bitcoin only helps China, Russia, and the Radical Communist Left. We want all the remaining Bitcoin to be MADE IN THE USA!!! It will help us be ENERGY DOMINANT!!!” https://www.msnbc.com/rachel-maddow-show/maddowblog/trump-touts-bitcoin-mining-completes-cryptocurrencies-flip-flop-rcna156772 This man thinks that a DIGITAL currency is "made" somewhere. I can hear it now: "These big, burly bitcoin miners ---- I'm talking about hard, tough men who last cried on the day they were born ---- these bitcoin miners came to me with tears in their eyes and said 'President Trump, don't let Joe Biden send our bitcoin mining jobs to China."
  3. Blah blah blah blah Everybody has a plan until they get punched in the mouth.
  4. Leaking, exploding orphan wells wreaking havoc in West Texas "In recent years, Schuyler Wight has noticed a growing number of abandoned oil wells coming back to life, gurgling fluids on the surface of his West Texas ranch. Last week he found the biggest one yet. Gassy water was gushing from the ground and down a quarter mile of roadway before it drained into a pasture on a remote corner of his land. “It’s by far flowing more than any other,” Wight said. “It’s getting worse, there's no question about that.” It’s the latest in a string of mysterious water features in the arid Permian Basin, the nation’s top producing oil field, that regulators have been unable to explain. Last year, an eruption of salty water swamped several acres on Wight’s cousin’s ranch, triggering a multi-million-dollar cleanup. In 2022, a geyser shot up from a well in Crane County, then another on the Antina Cattle Ranch. Nearby, a large pond of gassy groundwater has become a permanent feature called Boehmer Lake. Texas’ oilfield regulator, the Texas Railroad Commission, has yet to offer an explanation for what is driving so much water to the surface. After the massive cleanup effort in January, an agency press release said it was “continuing to investigate” the cause https://www.texastribune.org/2024/06/11/west-texas-orphan-wells-water-bursts/?mc_cid=82ec508d3d&mc_eid=de6141672b
  5. There's nothing to make of it. She's a 6'9" extremely flat-chested, extremely athletic woman who knows how to play basketball like a motherfucker.
  6. Holy Fuck. Not Erin Dunston!
  7. Okay ... I'm going to take the risk of trying to unpack it. "They are a shell of a program [that finished the season ranked third in the nation. If that makes us a "shell" of a program, what does that make A&M, who fired their coach?] that projects their elitism to others [okay ... so we are elite, and we're trying to project our elitism to others? Isn't this a GOOD thing?]. The whole thing about the illuminati reveals how shit fucking scared they must be. Wow. Illuminati? Really? Jesus H Christ.
  8. I'm beginning to think that this "It Just Means More" mantra that we kept hearing might be true. Here's a pretty epic rant against Alabama from an LSU ESPN guy.
  9. It really is very kind of those altruistic LSU fans to worry about the mental health of our recruits. I'll give them that. I thought Ryan Wingo might have a chance to be a good player but now I'm worried if thinking about a Lambo is going to distract him from making an impact. I mean insurance for a Lambo is expensive and so is gas. Plus all the babes who are going to want to hang out with him in his Lambo will certainly be distractions. There's a lot of downside to having one to drive around.
  10. Watching Javion Hilson's interview at the Austin airport, it's apparent that Texas came in and threw its big swinging dick on the table. That makes me feel good. I mean, sure the Lambos are cool and all, but it's good to see that Texas NIL is not all smoke and mirrors. Even if Texas doesn't get Hilson, other schools have every reason to be scared. Texas isn't fucking around. Prediction: Texas gets at least five five-star players, maybe even six with an outside chance at seven.
  11. Lab does agility training. The result is predictable.
  12. As if we needed any more proof that Tuberville is an absolutely shitty ass person and perfect fit for the GOP. He was trading players like he trades stocks. This
  13. Hines is almost as fast as Johnson, considerably bigger, and allows for positional flexibility.
  14. Fong has an article with quotes from Terry. I can't read anything but the headline but it sounds like it's positive for us.
  15. I don't get this. Doesn't every coach essentially lead recruits into believing that he (the coach) can get the recruit to the NFL? The whole thing is predicated on that idea. Also, what would you rather be, a former player who doesn't make it the NFL or a former player who doesn't make it to the NFL but drove a Lambo in college? This isn't rocket science.
  16. Fortunately, I speak jive and am fluent in Horn4Life, having been exposed to his rarefied dialect since the Hornfans days. I BELIEVE that he's saying that he heard that one of the recruits we're trying to get to come to Austin got arrested on the Comal river today. My guess is that he got arrested for coming to the aid of the other recruit, who was either drunk or maybe committing some minor infraction (not clear). Horn4life guesses that, if the recruit who got arrested had been white, he gets off scott free. Right before this happened, he'd heard that we had two silent commits. We would all be extremely happy with what Horn4Life heard regarding the commits in question right before the shit on the Comal went down.
  17. Whooosh! You made the exact same point that I --- using sarcasm ---- made to the Vol dumbass, which makes your comment that I missed the point I was trying to make doubly funny. I put "Wreckless" in quotation marks followed with a question mark, and then asked, using IRONY, why a parent would WANT his kid to wreck. When I tweeted it I thought it might go over the head of the Vol dumbass because he might not have realized that he misspelled "reckless" or understood how that misspelling made it an unintentional pun, but I didn't think it would go over the head of a fellow Longhorn.
  18. Tennessee fans are some dumb fuckers. Here's a Vol fan's response to Shannon Terry's tweet, and my response to that response.
  19. I mean, let's deconstruct this: Either 1) the God who created the universe is omnipotent or 2) he is not. If 1) is true, then god's vision for humanity certainly includes Gay people. Were it not to include gay people, he wouldn't have created gay people, or the impulse that causes people to be gay. If 2) is true, who gives a fuck what God's vision for humanity is?
