  1. Hah hah. Yep. After my High School Club practice on Sundays, I was given some water time for Masters players to come in and mess around. I got in a few weeks ago, and my experience was just like your description. What I thought was going to be a powerful shot was anything but. I blame the cedar for my need to suck wind.
  2. Finally. Damn good Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I was lucky to be able to take my club team up to play in Round Rock this past weekend. San Antonio NISD teams aren't playing TISCA Water Polo this year, so they allowed my club to play in the "season" tournaments. We obviously aren't allowed to play in the Regional and State tournaments in April and May since we are a combined team. I can't wait for UIL to start in 2022. Cedar Park and Round Rock Girls were solid. We didn't play them, but I watched their game go down to the last seconds. I believe it was a 15 to 14 Final for Cedar Park. My girls team got crushed by the AquaTex club team, but beat Westwood High. There were some very strong boys on the Westwood, Round Rock, and Austin High teams. But the majority of their players were swimmers learning to play Water Polo. Lots of potential with those teams but they struggled against my club team. It was great to just be able to enjoy a weekend of High School Water Polo.
  4. Interested in those 5 reasons. I have had 2 nineteen year old graduates on my sports teams. I have a current sophomore who will be 19 when he graduates. Doesn't happen often. Granted, I don't coach collision sports. But 5 reasons?
  5. Or.. he could act like a player who is on a team that is going to win regardless... and just put the ball in without showboating.
  6. I'm going soon. And I'm not kidding about that.
  7. Zito's. That's a name I haven't heard in a long time....a long time. Seriously, I had a sandwich from there about 35 years ago. I thought it was fantastic. But I never took the joint seriously because it was right across the street from my Catholic School and church. Nothing good could really be around there...right?
  8. Lol. fuck that. You aren't "normal" if you are sucked in. You had issues already
  9. As a coach, I've probably spent more time second guessing and stressing over tiny moments in a loss for youth and high school soccer and water polo then I have for anything as a "fan". Wish I could do better with that. But I will always remember being crushed walking out of the Frank Erwin Center in 1981 when San Antonio John Marshall had just lost the State Basketball Championship to the Port Arthur Lincoln Bumblebees. I was 11.
  10. Comments about Mary Jane rotten crotch and your mom were to be expected. In hindsight, the political stuff was just much more telling, especially coming from 20 and 21 year old's.
  11. Successful with Chili yesterday. Working on Seafood Gumbo today. Cooking up some Shrimp Stock first. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I get it, but this "military as Republican thing" is just odd to me. I was visiting my parents tonight. My mom was disgusted with Republicans as she has been lately, and I asked "You used to vote Republican right? My first election memories were Carter/Ford but mom claims they have always voted Democratic. I was surprised because I assumed their military background (Dad was actually Army Air Corp in 46) would steer them a certain way. It was actually really refreshing to know that wasn't the case. I think so many of these military men and women don't think for themselves. When I was at Annapolis in 88, one of the things I remember the most was how much this California kid in my company got abused for saying he supported Dukakis. Upper classman made him walk around with a Peace Sign taped to his uniform, and it was supposed to be funny. It always struck me as odd, but as an 18 year old in that environment, I didn't realize how fucked up it was.
  13. Chili tomorrow. Seafood Gumbo Sunday. I have everything I need to stay in and make it happen.
  14. Just play this at every game. It will make some people happy, some people crack up, and some think..."wait, something wasn't right there" but they would still be happy.

    USMNT 2021

This was my come back around game. Put the TV outside and grilled some burgers. Neighbor asked if I was watching THE GAME, and walked over for responsibly distanced beers. Best part was my 7 year old asking to stay outside to watch until the end before bath and bed.
  16. Yeah. I kept looking at the one I saw, wanting to like it, but it just didn't happen. Look forward to seeing the other one
  17. There has been one in the parking lot at school the last few weeks.
  18. Very clever dinner. Appetizing food fit neatly into interesting round pie.
  19. Binged this over the last 3 days. Thought it was great. I rewound several times in each episode just to hear some of the lines a second time.
  20. She's gross. Press pause every few seconds while she is talking. I don't like her upper lip. I don't like her mouth.
  21. CC deserves to lose because of ugly uniforms and bad face paint choices.
  22. I'm not sure how much I like you.... : )
  23. You could have bought all shit you need at Wal-Mart ( Kids got a switch for Christmas and I bought way to many accessories at Wal-Mart. They did enjoy the little wheel control add on)
  24. Because 31 to 24 wasn't a good enough game for them?
  25. Yeah. Tough loss. But it was fun to be excited about a Bowl Game for the past few weeks, and as empty as the Alamodome was this year, it was actually fun to be at games, unlike the Frank Wilson years. Traylor and staff are doing a good job.
