  1. This is what happens when you can’t afford a roof. 😜
  2. Pretty sure (and I don’t really care enough to do a search) that I read somewhere that even the 1939 claim was disputed at the time by another program that had the same record that year but aggy got the nod because of the final rankings from the AP?poll at seasons end. Anyway, the 1 title they do have that has even the slightest level of legitimacy was not decided on the field. Yes, that’s how long ago that was.
  3. I would endorse this plan of action. I would also have a more direct and immediate plan B at my disposal to safeguard against unforeseen shortcomings with regard to plan A.
  4. Yeah, their season is fubar. It would only make sense to play him a minimum at this point for experience toward the end of the season in a lost season. It also puts more data on the board to support shelving the current guys as the answer and building on the next year mantra.
  5. They should go ahead and do that. That will help Jimbo and make him happy, no doubt.
  6. We take care of business with a W this weekend and a lot of folks in here will have a potential opportunity to finally once again end a Longhorn regular season with a high gruntle level for the first time in what seems like eons. This is the hurdle game on the schedule that to me will provide much more definitive insight as to the direction we are going and current level where we are in that regard. Time to go in there and take one convincingly.
  7. Excellent. The Praying Mantis will be on the lurk in SC this week. Hide yo’ wimmens!
  8. Just looking at my ACME Super Duper Doppler radar they’ll be lucky to get this started by 9:30-10pm tonight if at all. It would be nice to know our opponent by nights end, but don’t care. Winner gets to advance to become a loser in the ALCS.
  9. What has Quinn played? 11 or 12 quarters of football since he was a high school junior? The game is going to continue to “slow down” for him. The o-line and supporting playmakers around him will hopefully (should/better) similarly settle in as reps increase across the board for all of them. The biggest growth, as should be expected, should occur from where we are now and going forward. There is some good football in store for us (and growing pains) coming our way. I swore off the Koolaid as it has had a bitter after-taste for much too long now. It’s gradually becoming easier to swallow now. It has to be and it’s way overdue. We get the D playing closer to the level of the O, then we got something going closer to our “standard” again.
  10. Well, I am kind of curious if he’s ever gonna get the chance to drop on of Quinn’s tosses.
  11. I check in on this thread occasionally, and I suppose somebody has to do it (keep on keeping on Tex) if for no other purpose than to record the redundancy of the aggy hive mind idiocy that’s persisted and defined their culture since their first day of existence. The more they try to change/redefine themselves into something they envision they are, the more they confirm what they are. Idiots.
  12. Ok then. They need the other if not done already. And if done already they need to revisit that.
  13. I view the “come to Jesus” meeting as a “you’ve got half a season left to show me large improvement defensively or prepare your anus”.
  14. Better than the “years” we’ve waited thus far?
  15. I hope they throw that poor guy into the fray. I predict at least one timely pick six and full scale farmer riot to ensue.
  16. What gave it away? The “ring” and “aggy degree” comments?
  17. That ball had ice on it when it got down.
  18. They’re probably changing out the seat that ball slammed into.
  19. I’ve not had many, if any, issues with the home plate ump today. Been pretty consistent with the zone.. Nice job on the put out at 2nd!
