  1. I doubt we will have two DL coaches, especially if we’re running three down. More likely to have two linebacker coaches (inside and outside).
  2. Ok, I need a reminder on how to block certain posters.
  3. I bet he’s already thinking. Sark grooving in 2021 would be case closed for a kid who grew up rooting for Texas.
  4. GAs spend a shitload of time together breaking down film and doing grunt work. Depending on how demanding the coordinator is, they’ll spend 12-16 hours a day together. GA can be a stressful-ass job, so it would make sense if they formed a bond in the fix hole.
  5. Blake was trained by Akina, who coached all DBs and cross-trained them. Obviously Blake never had any business at CB, but you don’t have to have played it to coach it. Gideon has always had a reputation as being very bright. Will and Akina loved him. I’m not thrilled with the idea that he could be coaching corners, but it doesn’t leave me wringing my hands, either. I’m optimistic he might be a good developer. Preferably, we get a bonafide CB coach, but Blake may be the coach while Joseph is the recruiter. We’ll see.
  6. Except ND has a history of championships and winning.
  7. Because he couldn’t put teams away, even with the best talent in America at his disposal.
  8. Yeah, but Bama had some one-possession shoot-outs. That Ole Miss game was wild. I’m not a Golding fan.
  9. Ah, yes, I remember it well.
  10. Back to the drawing board...
  11. This, although it brings username into question...
  12. Will’s wife loved Austin, and the Muschamps had the Moffitts ready to move to Austin when Will was planning to take over as HC. I witnessed Mrs. Moffitt say as much. (Don’t expect Moffitt to defect, even if we get Will as DC. Moffitt was only considering coming when he thought Will was going to be running things.) Also, Will LOVED Gideon, as should have been obvious from Will’s starting him as a freshman. He also appears to be fond of Hutzler. Sounds like we’re trying to make him an offer he can’t refuse. I hope we can pull it off.
  13. He gave punt block to Akina, and Akina taught Gideon. I’d love to get Gideon back to coach ST.
  14. Sooners always gonna one-up on the ball-grabbing.
  15. Fucking terrible. The guy’s a sociopath. Hamm dragged a Sigma Nu pledge around by the scrotum with the claw of a hammer, allegedly, for those who are lost.
  16. Just agreeing with you and trying to shoot down any hopes to the contrary. Didn’t mean to suggest you thought it might happen.
  17. Interesting. Well, Fat Dog was once highly regarded, too. People get lazy. But you’re right, Ausmus may be a scapegoat. Who knows. Another guy I thought of is Andrew Swazay (I’m probably misspelling his name) whose wife is from nearby copperas cove. Swazay is highly regarded by former players who he coached at Miami. He got canned by Richt because Richt is a buffoon. Former players in the league still go back to train with him. I’d take him in a heartbeat.
  18. My personal guess is Sark could bring Cochran’s top assistant. Cochran came from LSU. Moffitt turned Saban down but told him to take Cochran. That could happen here. I was also given the name Aaron Ausmus, who apparently worked at USC under Carrol. I was told Ausmus is pretty legit. That was just a suggestion as to who Sark might target. No inside info, other than my guy was relatively deep in the Major D1 S&C world and knows names.
