  1. I can't stand Nebraska, either, but the teams they fielded in the early 90s would have won the Big 10, too. I don't know if the Big 10 would have allowed them to build those teams with partial qualifiers, though.
  2. The AAC has a better contract and is more likely to sneak a team into the playoffs than the Mountain West.
  3. The AAC should make a pitch to WSU and OSU.
  4. Colorado, ASU, and Cincinnati are also AAU schools.
  5. I think it's the longest bowl drought of all P5 schools.
  6. Extra point might be their last opportunity to lose this one in regulation.
  7. Both of these teams are putting Amber Heard to shame.
  8. This one feels over. Minnesota needs a defensive touchdown.
  9. I'll start viewing Texas as a playoff team when they beat Alabama. Lose that game, and running the table in the Big 12 is pretty daunting.
  10. Conferences don't get the benefit of the doubt, period. Programs do. In your scenario, if it's Ohio State, Michigan, Clemson, and FSU, I tend to believe that Michigan gets left out. The other three programs have much more recent national championships, and Michigan's schedule would make Bill Snyder blush.
  11. It makes a huge difference that the player can't talk to schools until he enters the portal. It's a big risk to leave a safe situation with playing time and exposure to see who bites in the portal.
  12. Yeah. Most of the players who are going to make a difference are transferring from the haves to the have nots for playing time. NIL has nothing on NFL dreams.
  13. Spencer Sanders didn't leave to go be a backup. He left because he didn't like Gundy and he didn't get the interest he thought he would, so he settled for being a backup. If anything, he's a cautionary tale to others. There are also transfers leaving big time programs to start at mid-level schools.
  14. Yeah, I just don't see how the left behinds will be able to cope with the rich blue blood schools getting all of the best players. That's going to be completely different to how college football has always worked.
  15. He's responding to someone saying they should get into the playoffs with 3 losses...
  16. You'd be hard pressed to find a softer schedule in FBS football. Ohio State and Penn State are good enough that they should make the playoffs if they go undefeated, but they don't belong if they drop one.
  17. Yeah, they really should just use the computer formula from the BCS, plus conference champions.
  18. Half of that conference is worse than an average Sun Belt school.
  19. Or Michigan's. I wouldn't put them in the top 20 with 2 losses.
  20. Well, the schools care more about money than winning championships, just like the commissioners do.
  21. All of that is awesome if you are Colorado and you can't sell tickets or recruit. He's a home run hire there. Those aren't problems at Texas.
