  1. Lots of love for the national programming in this thread but I can't stand it. It's nice to be able to listen to something focused on pro and collegiate Texas teams without having to hear about tennis or the Padres or some other boring shit. That said, after the programming shake up last year and what they tried to do with the shows, I found myself not listening nearly as much. None of the shows had any chemistry and the personalities that they put together just came off as annoying. I think for me it all kind of started when Kevin Dunn left to take a different job and it all just went downhill from there. Also, full minute-long intros for each host was never a good idea. Neither was/is FLX-ATX as a forced main ingredient to each show's topic line-up. At best, it's a one hour show on like Wednesday nights and that's it.
  2. This was the funniest fucking scene to me as a kid, and now for that matter. If I remember correctly, the credits cut to him still dying after the movie ends. Hilarious
  3. Looks like they had the kid's menu from Cracker Barrel cater this thing. Holy shit.
  4. Is there a good defensive breakdown I can read/watch? Preferably not Ian Boyd? TIA
  5. Forgot to post this past weekend but went on down to Pinkertons for a first visit bc from what I could tell, Reese Bros is entirely outdoors and fuck all that right now. What I didn't realize was the line for Pinks was to the end of the deck outside and there was essentially no fans (two tiny desk sized fans high up in the corners? Cmon dawg). Wife grabbed us beers and took the kids to the adjacent park while I waited in line. Took about 20 mins but I got inside and then the magic happened. 1.5lbs of brisket, sausage, sides, and Blueberry cobbler all for $80. Served as lunch for me and the missus the next day too. TB's in Dallas this same plate would be like $120 or more. Brisket was moist AF and a gentle tug pulled it apart. Nice deep bark. I was super impressed. Sausage was the regular flavor as that's all they had and was pretty good, reminded me of a typical kielbasa. Candy ribs were amazing. All the sides were fantastic. I'm not a Mac and chez guy but when you add brisket I'm in, and it was great. Parking lot gets validated by the restaurant so not an issue at all. Grant knows what he's doing for sure and I'll be back. But Jesus get some fucking misters and fans for the line outside!
  6. That particular listing was for SA. I went ahead and checked out Austin and it's the same listing but pay was changed tp say "Up to $14/hr plus tip share".
  7. I just googled "torchy's jobs" and lo and behold their job listings literally say pay starts at $11/hr plus tip share. You fucks that are tipping for counter service are just feeding into the bad business practice of not paying decent wages while the customer foots the bill. Torchy's is not alone on this, it's every restaurant without a real waitstaff that has POS systems like the one's posted above. Stop tipping these places. Hell, fucking Sonic and Bill Miller's entry jobs start at $15/hr. While a place like Torchy's and like may not sell the volume of product, they certainly charge more on a per item basis. Sit down restaurants with real waitstaff get tips. Same goes for pickup orders that were carefully packaged (but at a much lower percentage). Bartenders/carwash detailers of course. Don't feed the beast otherwise, because you're actually hurting the workers more than helping them.
  8. Some dude on the blitz a few minutes ago basically said " No one likes a liar and if you don't stop I'll call back tomorrow with the truth". Could be be full of shit? Who knows, but with all the shit going on and the stuff already talked about in this thread I'm sure it's an absolute clusterfuck behind the scenes. E handled the comment about as well as a seasoned pro could tbh, but you could tell he was taken back by it.
  9. If it's what I think it is, holy cow that's nice
  10. "Freshman edge Billy Walton will wear No. 31 and is listed at 6’3, 225 pounds" Yall aren't fucking ready for the chaos this dude is gonna bring.
  11. Football signed by Earl Campbell (his wikipedia page pic is him signing my ball), a few framed pics of team signatures from a spring game during the Herman era. I need to take a look at them again and see who's all on them. Also a #2 jersey picked up at he fire sale that I plan on framing eventually. My son was 4 when we got it, hopefully I can somehow manage to get a Roschon signature on it.
  12. This is exactly why the only satisfying game I've been able to rewatch in the last 8 years was last year's OU game and 2018 USC. Bluuugghhhhh. Maybe hanging 70+ on Tech but even that game had the late collapse on defense that's frustrating to watch.
  13. I'll tell you boys what, there is no greater privilege than being close to an HEB after 11 years in DFW. I got a taste when they opened up the one in Plano but it was still a 40 min drive one way from my house. Now, it's 4 minutes. Fuck Kroger and Tom Thumb. That is all.
  14. OSU told him to fuck off, is what I presume, following the visit to us after the "silent commit".
  15. If you ever venture to Bill Miller's again, the sweet tea, breffis tacos and fried chicken should be the only things you order. Leave the bbq to Reese Bros and Pinkertons. Although, the two chop bbq sammich special slams and goes a long way when nursing a hangover.
  16. Lord I've seen what you've done for other people, and I want that for me.
  17. Fuck yes! SV alumni here, it's been a long time since Clint Haney. You love to see it
