  1. Not necessarily a keyboard song, but I like do like what Bukka Allen does in a subtle way.
  2. ***The powers that be that punched first better buckle up and get ready to get hit back...
  3. I know my first comment in this thread was trying to be funny but I appreciate what others have been posting about this especially with regard to what really happened. The powers that be gave The University and the State a black eye. I know there are folks that are applauding the crackdown here but as a centrist Boomer, it's at best, utterly embarrassing. I am assuming that all 57 arrested can take civil action against the State and University. The powers that be that punched first better buckle get ready to get hit back. I see the 'Vote of no-confidence' document getting circulated. Even if nothing comes of that, I don't see how Hartzell survives long term.
  4. South Lawn has changed quite a bit since I was on campus.
  5. I have to admit, I have enjoyed watching the Chiefs play these last few years with Mahomes and Reid. With X in the mix now, holy shit... I can't wait to see how they use him.
  6. This team is an interesting watch. As others have pointed the bullpen is not a full blown liability. Starting pitching is meh at times but they can battle. Just need to cut down on mistakes. Bats are a work in progress but I think that had to be expected. Corey is still working through getting things back together. Hopefully within the next couple of weeks he gets it back. Carter and Langford are starting to flash. I am hopeful it will all start to mesh at the right time soon.
  7. Weekend Update could probably have it's own thread. Chevy Chase - "Generallsimo Francisco Franco is still dead" Garret Morris and his recap for the hard of hearing. "Jane, you ignorant slut." Emily Latella Roseanne Roseannadanna 'Buckwheat is dead' Dennis Miller and of course, the late Great - Norm McDonald.
  8. I have never been so miserable in my life. Had tickets in steerage to and from Bangalore.
  9. lol @ Adolis on that final out.
  10. Nope, never made it to Painkiller. I think I started getting more into SRV and ZZ Top, etc... soon after Turbo came out.
  11. I do know that they do that. But you would think they could give the viewer the tech and the options to make that adjustment without the requirement of separate broadcasts.
  12. Hmmm... I have to admit, I had all of their albums up to and including Turbo at one time. Haven't really even bothered listening to anything beyond that. May have to circle around on this. I became a fan when a friend of mine and I were driving around - possible under some influences - and we were listening to 'Unleashed in the East'. 'Victim of Changes' comes on, Halford does what Halford does and I became a fan instantly.
  13. Regarding announcers... you would think in this digital age they would have come up with tech that could allow you to filter out announcers and other sound frequencies during live games. ESPN must pay their announcers by the word. Apple is not bad for watching a game.
  14. One of my favorites. Peak Natalie Wood. "Push the button, MAX!"
  15. Yoga pants are privilege not a right.
  16. Caught the Steve documentary. Part 1 was fascinating about how he got started in entertainment and his education. Part 2 drifted a bit but there is minute or two about Plains, Trains, and Automobiles that made it all worthwhile.
  17. I remember being a kid and my mom letting me stay up late on Monday night to watch OJ play football. He was my favorite football player. I even had one of those faux football jerseys with his number on it(If you grew up in the 70's you know what I am talking about). Always got a kick watching him on TV, from Roots, to Commercials and then in the movies like Towering Inferno and of course Nordberg in the Naked Gun series. If these were my only memories of him, I would probably be pretty bummed about now. But they are not and I have nothing but indifference for his passing. He will be remembered for getting away with murder and for the suffering it caused along with punchlines and parodies.
  18. Maybe not the most famous but definitely worth mentioning - Billy Cox. If you know, you know.
  19. Dogtown and Z-Boys caught my eye when they were rebroadcasting it a few years ago. It was originally released in 2001. To me, its the epitome of what a documentary should be. It's subject matter may be 'foreign' to you but it is still an interesting and entertaining watch. It's about skateboarding in 1970's California. These guys were basically the precursors to the likes of Tony Hawk and his peers and those that came after that.
  20. I'm from Waco... I don't know if that proves your point or contradicts it... I knew Martin was from there though... can't wait to watch the documentary. He was taking off when I was growing up and SNL was must see TV. Finished 'The New Look' last night. I am not a history of fashion but there were things that he created almost 80 years ago that would still be considered fashionable in todays world. It got dusty during the finale.
  21. Brutal watch. After 1st inning pitching and D hit their stride. Lack of timely hitting and just hitting was absent all weekend.
