  1. After we shelled their starter, the lefty they brought in did pretty decent against us if I’m remembering correctly.
  2. Yeah all of this. Woody has done a great job on the development side of things. Geno looks better, LBJ of course, Shaw was nothing before he got here, and you could keep going on with other guys that Pierce/Woody has developed. We can’t get lost in the notion that he was our 5 th choice in the hiring process. I was like you when we made the initial hire. It was obviously a bad situation but it turns out that we got a helluva coach and that is all that matters in the end. I saw a stat on Twitter that said Pierce hasn’t lost a regional game since 2017 so his postseason should be up there with the best.
  3. There’s no evidence for this but if we matched LSU for Skenes then I bet he picks us.
  4. Totally, and I’m not dismissing the NIL making things more complicated and difficult. Pierce has done more with less at times here at Texas and I think that highlights his coaching ability. Maybe with the recent donor match will help with on closing the big name guys that we’ve missed out on previously. GG, Hurley, Shaw, and Brown are all big time contributors this year tho.
  5. Agree with all the Pierce sentiments. For all of his faults, he seems to get the team playing their best in the post season. Now, if he could do a little better in acquiring talent for a deeper roster then it would a lot easier on him.
  6. Who am I missing? Geno, Zane, LBJ, Hurley, and Witt.
  7. We only threw 5 guys the entire weekend, correct? What a performance by this staff. Add timely hits and great situational defense and it was a perfect regional. Hook’em!!!
  8. You guys gotta start posting your sources with some of these pics so we can do further research.
  9. It’s ping pong on steroids.
  10. Cmon baseball gods, let’s get some bonus baseball here
  11. Not optimal for UL
  12. Him and Faltine would have been a fun combo if they played together. 2014
  13. LBJ is turning into one of my favorite players to root for. Showed flashes of his potential last year. This year he had a hot start to the season against LSU but stumbled in the middle with consistency issues. He battled his way back into the rotation and hasn’t looked back since. Love it.
  14. If you look closely, you can see a path from the pitchers mound to the Texas dugout. It was made from LBJ dragging his brass balls on Miami’s home field. What an amazing job by LBJ! Hook’em!
  15. Thomas is a fucking monster. We have him for two more years. Nice Win!
  16. Would it not go to us? Better overall record, won the regular season conference, and beat them as well.
  17. I think if they’re willing to give Auburn and SC a hosting spot then it’s not out of question they give Aggie a 2 seed somewhere.
  18. So far 8 SEC schools hosting
  19. It’s a recipe for an unpredictable outcome. We could see them go 0-2, 3-0, or anywhere in between at regionals. None of those results would really shock me but we just don’t know which team is going to show up.
  20. Right. 7-5 = 12 games which is 3 games for each series. We won 3 of the 4 series on the road (3-1). That’s not trash. I also wouldn’t plug the 3 losses at a neutral site which is why I said 10-7. Forgot to add you @MuellerHorn my bad
  21. 10-7 overall but were 3-1 on the road in conference play. Not necessarily trash.
  22. Dirk?? Like THE Dirk?
  23. I’ve always understood the criticism of the prequels and the duels, but to me we’re watching Jedi with superpowers and the way they duel each other is akin to chess grandmasters. Both know the opening lines, memorized puzzles and endgames. It’s not till one blunders or makes an out of character move that we see a tilt in the direction of who will win. And besides if they were trying to make it real, they would duel much closer to fencing no matter the age, experience or current body situation (Vader).
