Agree with all of this. The pacing fits because the casting, writing, dialogue and acting are all well done. Each scene feels like it has a purpose. I think the “no lightsabers” helps with the smaller story’s, especially. I haven’t felt a need to see one in Andor, and I’m enjoying that feeling so far. With Mando there’s Grogu so the force is more prevalent, but we still only saw a tiny bit of lightsaber action. The lightsaber allowed SW standout from other sci-fi fantasy shows. Anytime a person sees one they think of SW, even if it’s only a tiny resemblance. But the meaning and story behind them, along with other things (i.e. the force) is what makes SW great imo.

Question for all the nerds: do you think Andor still feels like Star Wars? Personally, I think SW can be multi dimensional in the way it can tell a story, with Andor leaning more into the slow burn style. What are your average Joe’s doing, and how are they making a difference? How did Mon Mothma become so important to the rebellion? All stuff we’ve kinda read about in books and comics but never seen on the screen. Some think Andor is reaching into other sci-fi genres such as blade runner, and taking the SW feel out of it. It’s too slow for it to be SW.
  4. Texas wins in dominate fashion. Ou and aggie get blown out. Danny finishes P5 with Checo getting the win. That’s a damn good weekend.

In the bear another character comes and messes with the group. Now, it’s happening again but in this universe. The guy can’t catch a break.
  6. I could be off but I thought Sark said it was his call.
  7. It’s quite simple to see the difference between the two. The playbook is almost endless with a guy that can make these throws with ease.
  8. Well, he also didn’t run bush

    all I could think about.
  10. Watching Hutson look completely stupid on the 4 & 2 was hard to watch. If he does his job, the play has a better chance of succeeding. I like Rojo’s odds against the lb coming up.
  11. Sorry, would you like me to post the kstate game from last year? In that game there was a play where Rojo actually wanted to throw out of the wildcat. It has worked and can work if we get better blocking up front, and Sark mixing it up a bit. To say Sark is limited in what he can run out of the wildcat because of the limitations our interior line has is definitely true. But to say it has never worked with Sark is complete bullshit.
  12. Here’s one. There’s more but it has worked for us. Edit: here’s is another just yesterday.
  13. The wildcat works and would be really good given what we have at the RB position. The problem is Sark running the same shit out of it without trying to mix it up. Our run game is beginning to look like Herman in terms of predictability.
  14. At this point we should just play super aggressive. I don’t care if we get beat over the top on 50/50 deep balls. Last year that’s all tech did against us and we won by 35. It’s ridiculous that on 3 and 5 I have no faith in us stopping a quick slant or a comeback to the sticks. But hey, like scipio said, at the least we didn’t get beat over the top in overtime when all tech needed was a FG.

This little bit had me pumped. Sry about the cat meme but it vibes with what I was probably doing at the time.
  16. Good stuff. If Flores works out then our middle infield should bet solid. It was interesting that Pierce made a comment on how wants everyone to be on the same page philosophically. Also, glad Tulo is hanging around.

But…we’re watching a Disney produced show

    This shit rocks.
  19. Wait, are you saying they had better talent at the TE position compared to us?
  20. We switch QB’s and we win by 50. Harris should be at a bigger program right now because he’s the only reason they had a chance last night. He could start for KSU, Kansas, Tech, Iowa St and TCU.
  21. I think they played solid in the second half, but overall it wasn’t pretty.
  22. The bad PI call on Watts gave them 7, should have been 3.
  23. There was a worry by a lot of people that we were basically throwing the same guys out there and it would be dumb to think there will be better results. That worry was justified in a lot of ways. Sorrell didn’t play a ton last year but but the majority of guys that did, have shown improvement. I dunno if we as fans will ever know why or how the switch happened, if it was a second year in the system, GP(or both him and PK), better S&C, etc... Whatever happened I’m happy to see it.
  24. Bullet, go look at what he posted and you can clearly see the Bama rb circled, which the stupid refs clearly thought Young was throwing towards as he was going down. He’s close enough for a smooth brain ref to think Young could actually complete that pass. Hell, the rb he was throwing to actually gave up because like everyone else watching, he knew Young was down.
  25. Then the refs must have ruled the wr @Constant pointed out was in the area, or at least where Young was trying to throw the ball, which would almost be impossible for him to recognize in that split second.
