  1. Can you not stream FP2 on F1 TV? It’s only showing live timing.
  2. Whether we like it or not, results matter even if you find it has been done in a “ugly” way. @ClubWhatever is correct with every coach having a price. But on the flip side is the current situation they find themselves in. A coach is going to up and leave for a program that just fired their coach that had a 50% success rate of making it to the CWS? I’m not saying that it can’t be done because it has in the past. It is just incredibly difficult to pull off and the right things need to happen outside of Texas’ control in order to get the desired upgrade. Schloss is more notorious for being a dick than Pierce, and it’s a big reason why he was open to leaving. The stars happened to align just right for Aggie to come in and give him the right price and a new admin to work for. I don’t think they get Schloss if things were on better standing between him and tcu administration. The non-institutional support would change how things are looked at. Most can get by with a coach being hard to work for with Schloss, Tadlock etc being good examples. But if he’s the same way with the admin and that is trickling down to NIL, then that’s a problem.
  3. Not necessarily. I don’t follow basketball much but keeping Terry on after he’s shown no ability to be an elite coach at previous stops other than doing it for half a season with another coaches players is entirely different. 3 CWS, a super and regional is only something Terry could dream of accomplishing in basketball terms. Why there is even a comparison of situations between Terry and Pierce is absolutely laughable. And I didn’t say 3 years of comfortably for Pierce and if the team continues playing like shit then next year his seat will be hot, not comfortable.
  4. CDC isn’t going to fire him this year. It’s reasonable to think that firing Pierce this year, after making a super last year and then making the CWS in ‘21-‘22, would turn off any coach worth a damn. The only way it happens is he continues to shit the bed and a) Pierce does something off the field a la beard or b) a top 5-10 coach in the country isn’t happy and has made it known to CDC he wants to leave by seasons end. That’s it. Option B seems like it could happen with what Schloss did to Tcu but that’s rare and shouldn’t be counted on. The quickest and most logical route to Pierce being fired is continuing the downward trajectory this year and carrying it over into next year.
  5. The injuries really did counter the expectations going into the season to a sizable degree. Having an every day first baseman that can hit for power from both sides of the plate would make our lineup go from good to great. We also wouldn’t have to deal with the ups and downs from O’Dowd. The Duke starting pitcher would have gave us more wiggle room with Hurley and Witt trying to figure it out. Then having a closer throwing 95 from the left side that is reliable, is pretty self-explanatory for what it does to a bullpen. Pierce totally fudged the catcher position, there’s no way around that and it shouldn’t happen at a place like Texas.
  6. I wouldn’t mind swapping roles between the two.
  7. Lawson should have gotten the seat and it sucks we have to wait till next year.
  8. Let them be. Yuki will never sniff the RB seat if he acts like that. Probably. Danny’s fan base can be the same way and really most drivers have crazy/dumb fans to a certain extent.
  9. He's a fucking helmet. Side note: through their little incident on the track, I have found that the Yuki fan base is intense. Danny calling him a helmet and then saying his actions on the cool down lap were immature have got them on fire, especially on Twitter.
  10. Eh, Augie didn’t make the postseason 3 of the last 6 with 2 being WS appearances and 1 regional. Pierce has made the postseason 5 out of 6 with 3 WS appearances, 1 super regional and 1 regional. Augie isn’t getting fired if he replaces his last 6 seasons with Pierce’s first 6 seasons.
  11. The desert isn’t a large color palette to work with as it is. Still, Denis and the DP did a phenomenal job at giving it life. The opening sequence was damn good in that regard. I read where someone said that if there was one major critique of the film, it is with Geidi Prime and Feyd. Not that it was bad, but rather it was done well and everyone wanted more of it. The scale of the arena was massive and I was completely shocked. Like a futuristic gladiator on steroids. Then of course Austin Butler as Feyd stealing every scene he was in.
  12. No it was actually the best idea imo. A large portion of his baseball chops comes from his knowledge of pitching. If the ship goes down with pitching being the main breaking point, then it will be because he didn’t live up to his own set standard and the writing could be on the wall as to what should happen next.
  13. It’s all subjective in the end but BIG disagreement here for me. This movie was beautifully shot.
  14. Catcher is really the only position Pierce ignored from the portal.
  15. Welp, this weekend was a wake up call for both coaches and players. One consistent aspect of Pierce’s teams, except for 2019 when they simply were not good, is their ability to navigate fork-in-the-road moments and typically find ways to win. Hopefully they don’t continue a downward trajectory after an objectively bad weekend, and we see a different team come Tuesday and into conference play.
  16. It would be pretty nice If Borba can become our everyday first baseman. Leaves Thomas in the outfield and gives us flexibility in the infield if O’Dowd runs cold.
  17. O’Dowd trying to pull every pitch that at bat
  18. Yuki has shown the ability to be in the conversation for the second Red Bull seat, and doing stuff like that isn’t going to help his cause. Him thinking that he should have been given the position back after he screwed over Daniel is dumb.
  19. Man, you’re confused. No one is discounting what you know or don’t know about the game. Giving your opinion is great! Calling out everyone that disagrees with you that they know nothing and are stupid is the last thing anyone should do. Just disagree and move along.
  20. Plus NIL will be better with the transition to the sec. LSU’s NIL as a whole is average at best. Baseball got really lucky with one donor being the founder of Marucci. Without him they’re not getting Holman this year or #7 ring last year.
  21. Some are getting thrusted into action quicker because 2 of our best transfer aren’t playing this season. It sucks that they’re young but the talent is visible.
  22. Same. Should do both where if it’s bad then they quickly turn to a 3 second review for a more accurate call. I believe it’s in the minors?
