  1. Probably would have just kicked O’Dowd completely out and had Max DH with Jayden/Dee at second or just pick second and DH between Jayden/Dee. Goofy lineup cards are back!
  2. Didn’t Jayden Duplantier start a couple times last year? He made some errors but I’d imagine he could be an option at second if he’s developed over the offseason.
  3. He knocked the fuck outta that ball
  4. I hope people don’t forget that Powell’s first start was at 1st base against Fullerton. He was kinda the unspoken utility guy for us and eventually shuffled to 3rd and found a home. Powell struggled at times with errors but for the first time since he’s stepped foot on campus, he knows exactly what his role is going to be. I’m excited to see him to take that next step in his game. Helluva story
  5. I don’t remember who described this class of freshman and the next as being different in terms of player types, but you can definitely see it. They look bigger and more athletic.
  6. My bad. I thought I posted it with the image.
  7. The Williams livery is solid.
  8. Sanders looks big for a freshman.
  9. The pitching may be bumpy at the beginning so the wtf games this year are automatic at this point. Can’t wait!
  10. With Jackson, we only needed a guy that could handle the personalities in the wr and of course develop. Recruiting wr at Texas with Sark as its coach is pretty easy, and you could see Jackson’s Development angle in the NFL. There isn’t a whole lot of data for Baker in any of those directions. This is a pretty big gamble from Sark imo.
  11. I believe the it was dead and had about 100 pages left to reach 1,000. Then Bru McCoy happened
  12. Probably. There was a week or maybe a two week period where the thread had a constant flow of post 24/7. The thread had it all and was pound for pound one of the best.
  13. Does anyone know what Bobby said about the Arizona DT, Savea?
  14. Broughton wasn’t the best against the run but he showed improvement in that area of his game from the ‘22 season. If Broughton continues to get better then he will set a good floor for the D-line run game. Also, I do not agree with your statement that he doesn’t have passion for the game. The intensity and drive was there. We must have been watching two different teams.
  15. I’d imagine the new head coach wouldn’t want Nansen to come back as the DC. That sounds like an awkward situation for him to handle since he’s not who the players wanted.
  16. Jaws has been good in every decade and it will continue to be that way.
  17. Lulz. Our DB’s can’t even take on an offensive lineman's block without getting penalized.
  18. Not necessarily. The DB could be playing off, buzzing his feet and reacting to AD. The shocking part was he kept retreating into the endzone and I don’t think that is good defense at all. He was still almost 5 yards away from AD by the time AD got to the 2 yard line. The play call was a little different since Ewers was rolling out but the first touchdown to AD in CCG the okie st DB had better alignment and it was still unguardable. Yeah basically. The fade to AD for a touchdown previously was a great throw and catch tho.
  19. I’m going to my grave thinking Mitchell and Ewers were both shocked by the alignment of the corner and they got caught in the middle of trying to figure out what to do. Ewers, while getting pressured, reverted back to the fade and tried to give AD a chance.
  20. They both should have done better and we shouldn’t put the all/most of the blame on either one (not saying you are). The previous corner fade for a touchdown, Ewers put the ball only where Michell could get it and he made a pretty good play to go get the ball. The final play it didn’t work out. What is totally getting lost in all of this is that the entire right side of the Oline did an awful job on the final play. This is spot on imo. Ewers has the ability to take his talent up a notch and become a better playmaker. We’ve seen flashes of it this year with the throw to Baxter that got called back and then the throw to Michell at Iowa st that also got called back.
  21. I believe they were dealing with some injuries and close games are a part of the game. Outside of Michigan, all playoff teams had close games. Ultimately Monday night came down to Penix playing the best game of his life. It was also his highest PFF grade of the year.
  22. Have a feeling on the rewatch it’s going to be clear that he struggled to get into a consistent rhythm. Batted balls, play calling, pre-snap penalties, fumbles, constant pressure..etc make it difficult for any QB feel comfortable. I think with all the things outside of his control he battled, even it wasn’t pretty.
  23. This is it. The play was a fade all the way. It’s almost as if Mitchell were to look back at Ewers earlier than he might have tried to throw it on a line towards the pylon. Ewers was not looking at anyone else. Situational awareness needs to be better between them two.
