Have him die during the extraction. anyway, my strategic point is moot at the end of the day because movies are based off of emotion. In the end the scene works.
  2. I love Sam to death. But if they beat OU in CCG they still don’t make the playoff as a 3 loss team.

As kids We all wanted a lightsaber for Christmas/Birthday/Halloween. If you were lucky enough, you got the Vader mask and lightsaber combo. While the world building was cool, the lightsaber was a pretty big deal.

For me it showed the impact Jyn has on Cassian. He’s at a crossroad with the orders from Yavin to kill Galen and immediately afterwards where Jyn reveals her father’s hidden weakness that he designed on Death Star. There’s also the convo with Jyn and Bodhi that Cassian overheard. It’s a matter of does he blindly follow the orders from Yavin or trust Jyn and the others that believe her as well. I think he was fighting the urge to not take the shot and follow his gut instincts, which aligned more with Jyn. From just a strategic standpoint, when Cassian has Galen in the crosshairs, why should he kill him? Right now, Jyn just said that he knows the only known weakness of a planet killer and exactly how to destroy it. Maybe instead of killing the guy, Cassian and his team should find a way to extract him from Eadu first, then if it doesn’t work move on to Scarif.
  5. It was me. Technically didn’t see anyone say that, it was more of a joke on the stupidity of some sec fans, buuuuuuut if I actually cared I could 100% find one.
  6. A little bit of nuance here Hobbes
  7. “Should be benched after that nonsense. Act like you been there before.” -some sec mouth breather on social media
  8. Kinda unfair for Max on his first game back to face this guy on the mound. It is what it is tho and he needs the AB’s.

Not seeing Max Rebo, the leader of the Max Rebo Band, on anyone’s favorite character list is shocking. Max, along with Sy Snootles and Droopy McCool, brought down the house wherever they perform.

Weirdly, I’ve seen some that have watched R1 post Andor and the two projects not fully clicking with them. I guess it can be difficult for some after watching Andor be the main guy for 2 seasons and then in his final chapter in R1 he’s taking a step back.

It was a lucky chain of events that led us here indeed. Gilroy himself recalls the buddy heist deal as lacking any substance. I can’t remember exactly what Tony said but the show was mainly a mission/adventure show and there’s not a ton of stuff you can do with that. Then it was just Tony telling Kathleen what they should do through conversations, never really intending on him actually being the driver of anything. They were both feeling each other out and ultimately Kathleen had to decide if the risk was worth it. It was organic in a way on how Disney approached Tony in doing this show and the canvas he was allowed to have.

There’s no way you could have told me in the mid 2010’s that R1 story would be the start to some of the best Star Wars ever put together. This is not only going to make R1 that much better but it will add to ANH in ways I’ve never thought were possible. The amount of sacrifice Gilroy displayed to the audience was astounding. The human cost of a rebellion in Star Wars has never, and probably will never be, presented in such a raw and up close type of way. Just brilliantly done. I love Luthen so much and the first episode of the night was so damn good to his character. His moral complexity through out the series could not have been written better. He was cold but calculated and you can easily see why the rebellion on Yavin would grow tired of it. His actions weren’t always noble but they were necessary. Good on Andor for making that known.

That was a tough first episode of the night.

  15. On the flip side, here is JT O’Sullivan’s opinion on the play. (I hope the sound works) ScreenRecording_05-13-2025 13-11-10_1.mov
  16. I think it really started with mid to young Millennials and Gen Z took it up a notch. For baseball in particular, the players started to differentiate between what is meant to be a celebration versus something that is actually meant to disparage the opposing team.
  17. Pretty sure Tennessee was the team that had a player hit a home run and after rounding first he flipped off either the second baseman or the right fielder. What Jonah did was like a 3 out of 10 on a scale of nothing happened to very bad. And our coach still went out to intervene and calm him down. Who gives a fuck what other the other fan bases think.
  18. It’s not surprising to see the offense pressing when they lose their Friday night starter and the pitching starts to fumble a bit trying to find their groove again. I agree with you (I think it was you) that our pitching has covered up some flaws in our lineup. Feels like the bats are trying to do too much at the plate in an attempt to pick up the slack. And honestly, outside of Ruger, the pitching staff did a decent enough job this weekend. I was kind of shocked to see them struggle so much at the plate outside of one inning in game two. I think guys like Rodriguez and Williams are standing out a bit more because they are keeping their approach caveman style—see ball, hit ball. And for the most part they are still able to work the count. Maybe not having a game on Tuesday will give the guys a mental reset.
  19. Jonah’s pitch to make it 2-1 was in the exact same spot as Stewart’s strike out call. What’s new tho
