  1. I always hope it’s to see that bathroom Dan was viciously attacked in a bathroom by a gender confused man and Patrick is now struggling to breathe worse than an unvaccinated covid patient.
  2. Good news : Ohio Supreme Court tossed out another GOP drawn rigged map today. bad news : Alabama received approval from the US Supreme Court to use their 6-1 map in the 2022 election.
  3. Yeah I’ve received Republican mail and phone messages before.
  4. In presidential years, I vote in the democratic primary. In years where the governor, lt. Gov, and attorney general are on the ballot, I vote in the Republican side and vote against the incumbents. I always try to help force a run off and hopefully assist in the ouster of hot wheels, indictment Paxton, or potty Patrick.
  5. The democrats legal strategy is kicking ass here. I think they’ve really surprised the republicans with this. Hopefully in 2030, we don’t need to do this when demographics take their natural turn in places like Georgia and Texas.
  6. Make sure you vote against bathroom Dan Patrick because he takes great delight in killing legalization in the legislature every other year.
  7. My brother in law went to school with bathroom dans daughter. I wish I could remember her first name so some people could mess with her on Twitter or instagram if they wanted, but her last name is or was Goeb.
  8. Read that apparently Detrumpis is making his own legislative maps now? I guess he didn’t like what Florida republicans did so he’s trying to shove the GOP dick into the dems ass only deeper this time.
  9. I’m ok with it actually. The midterm outlook for the dems is so bad right now that they might benefit from something to shake things up. It can’t get much worse for the dems right now.
  10. They can’t stop people in blue states from having abortions. California, New York, and Illinois will pass state laws allowing abortion if roe goes down.
  11. Joe Donnelly, Claire Mccaskill, and ESPECIALLY Bill Nelson of Florida suffered that day. They suffered the brunt of those hearings. Bill Nelson lost by 10k votes and would almost certainly have his seat right now if those hearings were handled better. The hearings were the nail I’m the coffin for Donnelly and mccaskill. They just shoveled 10-20 more pounds of dirt onto Heitcamps grave who was already screwed no matter what.
  12. I keep hoping and praying that Thomas will get some kind of illness and have to step down. It’s not working very well so far tho.
  13. I seem to recall the Kavanaugh hearings hurting the democrats. It was the democrats pulling all out the stops and suffering the consequences after kavanaugh heroic MAGA outburst or Clarence Thomas 2.0
  14. Independents and moderate democrats / republicans could be turned off by the GOP’s behavior and cost them votes.
  15. What incentive does the GOP have to fight this and possibly look bad and hurt their chances in the midterms? the current court make up is 6-3 right? We’re replacing a dem with a dem? The obvious Republican move is to play it safe and don’t piss anyone off. Just preserve the status quo.
  16. Better than the lunatic freaks that Trump was nominating from the “heritage foundation” list. Correct me if I’m wrong on what that thing was called.
  17. This is nonsense. Biden will get his one and probably only justice this time around. It’s a democrat replacing a democrat so I don’t expect fierce Republican opposition. Especially after trump and the republicans confirmed 3 and literally just stole one of those 3.
  18. I’m guessing the vast majority of Democrats like Joe Manchin again today.
  19. The Supreme Court has stayed out of gerrymandering cases in the past and left them up to the states. I doubt the Supreme Court will pick this one up.
  20. Ohio has a Republican justice who sided with the democrats on the state house and state senate maps. She will almost certainly side with democrats again on the Ohio US house map. The downside is she is supposedly retiring at the end of this year. Ohio has all these rules where if they don’t agree they have to draw a new map but it’s only in effect for 4 years? Would this second map last 10 years or just 4 years? I’m so confused by their rules. The gerrymandering is egregious in both Ohio and North Carolina considering how close their national elections are.
  21. It’s looking like Ohio’s map will be carved back up ( not official yet tho) and North Carolina’s unfortunately might be used in the 2022 election. The NC Supreme Court will hopefully step in and mitigate some of the damage.
  22. This kind of thing would never come up during a “special” session.
  23. Governor cripple can’t do anything until 2023. Texas only has a legislative session every other year.
  24. Unfortunately I think he’s been listening to hot wheels and getting his shots so his case isn’t serious.
  25. You guys are slipping. New Mexico. Maryland.California have all finalized maps recently without the great analysis from folks on here.
