  1. Yeah A&M really is unique in the futility department in 86 years 0 NCs in the big 3 sports, 1 runner up last year in baseball This is the league of their own. They are literally the most futile little brother out there Miss St is humiliated if they are compared to A&M.
  2. I really like V for some reason, maybe because I only had IV, V, and VI on VHS and liked them all, like seriously these scenes are pure gold https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6cqbSNERnc0 The rest is admittedly terrible.
  3. Star Trek III is so devoid of real emotion though, like Kirk's only child dies, there is the reaction, and poof gone from existence. It wasn't till VI that they had to retcon a character change.
  4. I would also like to remind people that roughly 17 months ago, Aggie was excited that Bjork left after the Stoops fiasco, they celebrated it thinking that there was light at the end of the tunnel. In that short period since they hired Alberts, had the most humiliating coach poaching of all time, a historically putrid athletic year, and Bjork proceeded to win a NC after failing upwards.
  5. Aggie is the best and clearest evidence of superdeterminism, the universe may very well be scripted.
  6. It was really good game, and the one earlier in the day too, I legit did not know how it was going to end, usually with men's aggie you just know they are going to lose see the UCLA game that EVERYONE saw ending the way it did. But since the WBB team won a NC, I thought the ladies were immune, nope.
  7. Somebody posted the statistics above 7% was the rate of progress, that molasses pace is gone now if things can't be reversed it is too slow to get rid of fascism at this rate so we need to start over and denazify.
  8. In parliementary democracies the underperforming party sacks their leadership, the portuguese left party did just that, but in the US the democrats almost always love to lose because they are never forced to accept the consequences of their actions.
  9. Yeah that 15-8% is literally the delta of progress, that is why I do despair about Gen Z, if this cannot be fixed then the system is now 100% broken, they were supposed to be the cavalry, I am leaning more to the camp of starting over. .
  10. Yeah it is a tragedy that "academic" discussions can do so much political damage, while the ball of lard can say do anything he wants and get away with it. But to me reason and logic are the singular most important thing to maintain. I don't even think we need to shackled by them either, I don't need 6 sigma proof that we need to adopt populism, what we should never do is to abandon reason and just operate on pure emotion.
  11. Eventually I will, but it needs to be said now when it is time to learn.
  12. Well thanks to social media friends and family is no longer the limit, but if you are going so far as to call it a strawman you are wrong https://core.ac.uk/download/pdf/43538369.pdf What would I say? "two incomes are better than one", but X forbid we ever say the smart thing
  13. I agree with this, we need to talk politics with friends and family, talk politics everywhere, what I do think is that it needs to be precision strike, "Did you see that they gave trump a plane? that is so corrupt!" as opposed to "The patriarchy is why you are poor and also your fault!"
  14. Actually children rebel against their parents, that is the natural order of things, there has been important progress because old people die and new people are better, would this be the case if the plantation owner managed to download his ideology onto his son? the civil rights movement worked in 1960 but it would have never passed in 1860. Admitedly there is a repellent on identity politics foundations like hating meritocracy, but at the same time I don't think Gen Z men break for Trump if not for the cultutre war that was waged from around 2010 to 2020, and while the party has started to distance itself from it, they kinda still remain in some subreddits (and no wildcat I am not blaming democrats for what happens outside the party) As for getting people off their couch we need economic leftism, they are so desperate for it they fall for the fascist conman promising them unobtanium. Kamala and her GS solution to the housing shortage was aid on down payments which was a drop in the bucket she needed to promote low density public housing. This is how Finland is doing it
  15. More evidence of the weak energy I have been talking about, people online talking about cancer and presidents, do you honestly think wishing cancer on Donny is going to make a difference? I don't care about the thought I have had it myself but whining about this online is only making the enemy look at you weaker when your only hope is freaking fucking cancer. I can't tone police 50% of the population of course, and hell I wish 99% had this same wish, but actions have consequences at the same time we need to be cognizant of what we say, even when we think we are being strong and mean, we are just venting weakness. "weird" is not costing them in destroying democracy but being weak on our side does.
  16. "[Republican candidate] is a fucking creep I wouldn't let within 100 yards of my daughter" lol no, that is exactly the problem "[Republican candidate] is a rapist, if a rapist comes within 100 yards of my daughter he will leave mutilated" What do you think will give a fascist pause? "I won't let him" or "there will be consequences"? Karen energy, is losing energy.
  17. Well a) it did not win the election so I don't know how you can give it that title. B) It is inherently weak, it is like saying that they are a creep, or disgusting (to loop it back on asmongold). Visualize a manly man, would he ever shit like that? or would he say the stuff Kamala said "If you are going to say something, say that to my face!" That should have been the campaign slogan force those 70 debates if they really were doing that badly in the polls, not "ew republicans are like sooo weird!" Fuck my life.
  18. Let me rephrase the entire argument, the key strategy of fascism is that the opponent is both omnipotent and weak, the omnipotent is to cause fear, the weak is to motivate action and you will be quickly rewarded. It is essentially impossible to alter the former, but we can sure as hell not appear weak. Aside from all the pillow screaming I documented above, doing stupid slogans like "republicans are weird" makes us look weak. Pillow screaming makes us look weak. "Strength, Discipline, Intelligence" drill this slogan into the heads of every single democrat both voter and rank and file, and if they can't stand up to the standard they need to provide support for those that can.
  19. I mean I did not want to say it, but got pushed and pushed and pushed lol.
  20. I heard a tell but I will never put it out there in the open.
  21. @Pancho and @wildcat09 OK... basket of deplorables? There, you happy now? I seriously don't understand the obsession with making me find a candidate saying shit, when I have gone above and beyond to state that there was overall discipline at the top, it was the bottom that was misbehaving OR tolerating misbehavior. Does it excuse anything? of course not, they are fascists that even if we start WWIII against them they deserve all of it, the problem for the millionth time is that it is not smart to spew bile in every direction, and this should be stopped, that is all.
  22. Target the GOP, not the voters themselves, it is not rocket science guys. I want them to fight, but to fight intelligently, not crying on social media with emotional rants targeting the average voter.
  23. I can't believe the fakest part of his tweets... is always him giving thanks to anyone.
  24. The party itself agrees with me, my 2 cents on the matter is that it was too late, they also needed to lean in the economic issues way earlier https://www.thenation.com/article/politics/democrats-culture-war-messaging/ You can talk about culture war issues but frame it in an empathetic way, never in a bloodsport way.
