  1. Yeah that 15-8% is literally the delta of progress, that is why I do despair about Gen Z, if this cannot be fixed then the system is now 100% broken, they were supposed to be the cavalry, I am leaning more to the camp of starting over. .
  2. Yeah it is a tragedy that "academic" discussions can do so much political damage, while the ball of lard can say do anything he wants and get away with it. But to me reason and logic are the singular most important thing to maintain. I don't even think we need to shackled by them either, I don't need 6 sigma proof that we need to adopt populism, what we should never do is to abandon reason and just operate on pure emotion.
  3. Eventually I will, but it needs to be said now when it is time to learn.
  4. Well thanks to social media friends and family is no longer the limit, but if you are going so far as to call it a strawman you are wrong https://core.ac.uk/download/pdf/43538369.pdf What would I say? "two incomes are better than one", but X forbid we ever say the smart thing
  5. I agree with this, we need to talk politics with friends and family, talk politics everywhere, what I do think is that it needs to be precision strike, "Did you see that they gave trump a plane? that is so corrupt!" as opposed to "The patriarchy is why you are poor and also your fault!"
  6. Actually children rebel against their parents, that is the natural order of things, there has been important progress because old people die and new people are better, would this be the case if the plantation owner managed to download his ideology onto his son? the civil rights movement worked in 1960 but it would have never passed in 1860. Admitedly there is a repellent on identity politics foundations like hating meritocracy, but at the same time I don't think Gen Z men break for Trump if not for the cultutre war that was waged from around 2010 to 2020, and while the party has started to distance itself from it, they kinda still remain in some subreddits (and no wildcat I am not blaming democrats for what happens outside the party) As for getting people off their couch we need economic leftism, they are so desperate for it they fall for the fascist conman promising them unobtanium. Kamala and her GS solution to the housing shortage was aid on down payments which was a drop in the bucket she needed to promote low density public housing. This is how Finland is doing it
  7. More evidence of the weak energy I have been talking about, people online talking about cancer and presidents, do you honestly think wishing cancer on Donny is going to make a difference? I don't care about the thought I have had it myself but whining about this online is only making the enemy look at you weaker when your only hope is freaking fucking cancer. I can't tone police 50% of the population of course, and hell I wish 99% had this same wish, but actions have consequences at the same time we need to be cognizant of what we say, even when we think we are being strong and mean, we are just venting weakness. "weird" is not costing them in destroying democracy but being weak on our side does.
  8. "[Republican candidate] is a fucking creep I wouldn't let within 100 yards of my daughter" lol no, that is exactly the problem "[Republican candidate] is a rapist, if a rapist comes within 100 yards of my daughter he will leave mutilated" What do you think will give a fascist pause? "I won't let him" or "there will be consequences"? Karen energy, is losing energy.
  9. Well a) it did not win the election so I don't know how you can give it that title. B) It is inherently weak, it is like saying that they are a creep, or disgusting (to loop it back on asmongold). Visualize a manly man, would he ever shit like that? or would he say the stuff Kamala said "If you are going to say something, say that to my face!" That should have been the campaign slogan force those 70 debates if they really were doing that badly in the polls, not "ew republicans are like sooo weird!" Fuck my life.
  10. Let me rephrase the entire argument, the key strategy of fascism is that the opponent is both omnipotent and weak, the omnipotent is to cause fear, the weak is to motivate action and you will be quickly rewarded. It is essentially impossible to alter the former, but we can sure as hell not appear weak. Aside from all the pillow screaming I documented above, doing stupid slogans like "republicans are weird" makes us look weak. Pillow screaming makes us look weak. "Strength, Discipline, Intelligence" drill this slogan into the heads of every single democrat both voter and rank and file, and if they can't stand up to the standard they need to provide support for those that can.
  11. I mean I did not want to say it, but got pushed and pushed and pushed lol.
  12. I heard a tell but I will never put it out there in the open.
  13. @Pancho and @wildcat09 OK... basket of deplorables? There, you happy now? I seriously don't understand the obsession with making me find a candidate saying shit, when I have gone above and beyond to state that there was overall discipline at the top, it was the bottom that was misbehaving OR tolerating misbehavior. Does it excuse anything? of course not, they are fascists that even if we start WWIII against them they deserve all of it, the problem for the millionth time is that it is not smart to spew bile in every direction, and this should be stopped, that is all.
  14. Target the GOP, not the voters themselves, it is not rocket science guys. I want them to fight, but to fight intelligently, not crying on social media with emotional rants targeting the average voter.
  15. I can't believe the fakest part of his tweets... is always him giving thanks to anyone.
  16. The party itself agrees with me, my 2 cents on the matter is that it was too late, they also needed to lean in the economic issues way earlier https://www.thenation.com/article/politics/democrats-culture-war-messaging/ You can talk about culture war issues but frame it in an empathetic way, never in a bloodsport way.
  17. I mean whatever I propose would be considered as overreach but this is existential so I do think it should be done. I would probably start by addressing things that are pissing them off, stuff like online dating apps was a huge mistake, and should probably be banned, there is no bigger psychological deathtrap than having 9 men chase 1 woman on the app. You could very well point to this as the fall of civilization. Make dating a local only affair, this limits the drowning in the desert vs drowning in the ocean conundrum both genders face, by restricting to local, and social circles only, then social currency matters. Understand that it is the impressionable part that is the problem younger boys idolize older boys and the troubles are expressed down the line they hear about it and commiserate, even if a 13 year old is not on tinder they are getting the same vibe. After that ban social media for children, the porn fear was fake but the grifter recruiting fear was real, children can only be exposed to a Nintendo like social media environment, where only "good job" can be expressed and not links to Andrew Tate. Punish social media companies for profiting from hate, (and yes hate from both sides it needs to be fair) Give kids realistic purpose in life, right now they are expecting a dead job market, no chance to own a home and an endless life of misery. This is where economic leftism is vital. Trump offering dead end manufacturing jobs to these kids are packaged as a return to the 1950s GM jobs that could feed and house a nuclear family, the fact that Kamala can only offer Goldman and Sach's solutions is a poison pill.
  18. I mean you guys can keep doing the head in the sand routine and think it was just normal GOP propaganda, and I keep telling you it was not, the GOP has been targeting the youth for a while and failing but all of a sudden things like "kill all men" and you honestly don't expect to make headway? https://srhsoffleash.org/2171/opinion/kill-all-men-is-only-killing-feminism/ You guys have no idea what the bloodsport of the culture wars was, it was very sick, and I am sorry, I am glad all those voices got silenced more or less, they finally learned that violent irrationally emotional speech has consequences. We need discipline not idiocy, go scream at your pillow.
  19. Well that was more fun than baseball
  20. Yeah we are back to 2020, survive the dictatorship and hope we elect a competent leader that does not just decide to roll over, and have a normal presidency.
  21. I mean you kinda said so yourself he has to be good with women, well to be specific have the PR image of being that. Leo is the only one I can think of, he is an environmentalist that backed Harris, but lives a private life. Good luck with ever recruiting him to be vocal though, after the constant vilification from the feminist movement.
  22. Cringe https://chicago.suntimes.com/columnists/2024/08/16/tim-walz-jd-vance-donald-trump-masculinity-childless-cat-lady-women-attacks-mona-charen I get the sentiment, but this is dumb. I like Tim but hoisting him as a male role model is unbelievably tone deaf.
  23. I mean I can try to paint a path and a picture, but no, nobody has scientific proof of anything. People still debate if the Franz Ferdinand assassination really started WWI, they are wrong but yeah I have no scientific proof. We should not be paralyzed by this though, there was a baseline 40% of Gen Z men were going MAGA, that was the expectation baked into the model, older people would die, younger people would be more progressive and we could see the light at the end of the tunnel. That calculus changed and while it might have not been enough to alter the 2024 election the repercussions are real and will be with us for the rest of our lives, the question is how to reverse course without looking like a bunch of out of touch "why hello fellow kids". Feminists positing Coach Tim Walz as a male role model was offensive and tone deaf. Hell you need someone like DiCaprio who is a lady's man, but guess what? feminists loathe Leo because he dates young women. We can't let the inmates run the asylum.
  24. Looping back on Al Franken because it is democratic party politics
  25. You are wrong, for the record it was actually 23% it was 38% college graduate hispanics so the article misinterpreted the polls. How can something that was heard by 23% of hispanics (and nearly universally rejected) be considered esoteric? you are wrong dude, 100% wrong. Hey guys lets keep using the term so toxic that is driving away hispanic democrats! galaxy brain move right there.
