  1. Classy way to send out the GOAT. I hope he continues to do weekly picks and they read them on the air for him. His speech is failing, but there’s still a sharp mind in there.
  2. Only team in baseball that can’t score from first on a double.
  3. Yeah, Game Theory said both were unlikely to accept, but that’s what they’d offer. Said 4 years $95-105 million was the sweet spot for Jabari.
  4. The Spurs thread is a trip. Those assholes think they can trade a couple spares and the 14th pick for KD.
  5. The Adams were openly weeping about the OL on the drive home. Basically said we’re doomed again. R-e-l-a-x it’s June.
  6. Old Fitz 7 remains elusive. Second online order canceled. A polite suggestion, it might be a good idea to remove it from your app.
  7. Saw that today. From the outside looking in, Giannis just feels like a really loyal guy. The Bucks scouted him almost exclusively and took a chance on him. The organization repaid his loyalty by getting him a ring. I think he wants to play out the string and see if the Bucks can pull off a miracle and trade Dame this offseason. That’s really the only way they could possibly improve. Also Thank God the Spurs probably won’t get Giannis.
  8. I think KD is out for KD. If he’s convinced he’ll get paid one more time and win a ring, he’ll play hard. I think he’d be fine on defense with his length, but he’d be in Houston to score and close games.
  9. My main takeaways from Game Theory’s Rockets Offseason episode: - Must decline FVV’s option. It will save the team $13 million, and provide salary flexibility this summer. Don’t think he can get $30 million a year on the open market. Duh, but it’s good to hear the national people concur with us. - Should attempt to sign Jabari and Tari each to 4 years $80 million contracts. - If they can jettison Landale and Holliday it’ll free up $16-18 million. Their expiring deals have value in trades. - Barely mentioned Durant. - Think it’ll take Amen and/or Segun and lots of picks to get Giannis. The goddamn lucky ass Spurs have serious leverage because they hold the rights to Harper. - While conceding he’d be expensive, they think Trey Murphy III is exactly what the Rockets need. I’ll agree this the smart/stealth move to improve the team. - They think running it back is probable/acceptable.
  10. I like the Allen Houston comparison. Fits Tre well.
  11. Lance and John were going on and on about how good Chubb is in pass protection. Hey, if he keeps CJ upright, I’m all for it.
  12. Yeah they better age them up/time jump or it’s not going to work. Maybe the kids come home to Hawkins for the summer after their freshman years of college?
  13. I liked the pilot, but here we go again Lasso heads. Extremely positive coach haunted by some dark shit in his past.
  14. Finished Hellhound in under 24 hours, it’s 14 hour audiobook, so yeah, it’s an entertaining yarn. Some thoughts.
  15. My wife was an extra on FNL Season 1. She’s clearly visible in a couple scenes at the rodeo fair in S1 E12. She claims Berg wanted to cast her in a small role as one of the Garrity sisters, but she couldn’t make it work with her school/work schedule.
  16. Damn. I was about to guess that was The Settles, but I wasn’t sure because of the angle. Love that hotel.
  17. An older coworker was an extra in the famous Tin Cup pelican bet scene. I remain green with envy. I love that scene and that movie.
  18. My goodness. Embraced the weird ans they hit a home run. It felt like a Season 1 or 2 episode. 2 out 3 winners in the new season is a nice hit rate.
  19. Rebel 6 isn’t much better, and it’s like $30 more expensive. You’re doing just fine.
  20. I loved Down House at 18th and Yale. It was the first really nice restaurant to move to the Heights in 2010’s. We had to fill out a private club card to drink there. Good times. I remember their hangar steak was really good. Eventually they became known for their brunch, but it was a complete restaurant at its zenith. Does anybody remember the drive thru Thai place on Long Point and Gessner. Thai Rocha(?) was maybe the name. It would have been open in the 90’s and 2000’s. It was great. Still the best Thai food I’ve eaten in Houston.
  21. Over 2 hours in. This is pretty good. Meticulously researched. I wouldn’t be mad at a Hampton Sides Lee Harvey Oswald book.
