  1. Kawhi can be a top five player in the world when healthy. He's in his own bucket White is a better connector, a better off the ball catch-and-shooter, and better at defending quick guards. Brown is a better one-on-one scorer and better wing defender. Looking at the roster, they already have all the one-on-one scoring they need and they have plenty of wing defenders.
  2. That contract is a non-starter for a Houston
  3. I don't get the pessimism. They're in a good spot with seven young promising core players, and a lot of tradable assets. Just relax and follow the journey
  4. White is just a better fit with this team Making this US team is tough. The team of players who didn't make it could win it all in their own right
  5. I think he's just mainly not a great fit for this team, although he's needed to match up with the big centers they might see, especially Jokic
  6. If I'm running the Clippers, Sixers, or Pacers, I'm not too happy about players who were banged up for a large part of the season participating in this
  7. He fell in the draft due to injury concerns, iirc
  8. I love this as a buy low on a young 3&D wing
  9. The #8 pick this year is like the #13 pick in a different year
  10. Unprotected picks in the far future absolutely hold value
  11. I think he would have been good there, but you're also doubling up on two guards at that point, which some front offices might not want to do
  12. The trade was more than fine. Netting an unprotected future first is good business. I'd have concerns about Castle. If the shooting comes around, he could be the best player from this draft. If it doesn't, you have a non-shooting guard when you really want to surround Wemba with shooters so he has space to operate on offense
  13. Reed also gets a ton of blocks and steals He does get blown by on defense at times, but he's not a terrible defensive player, and could even be average if he gets enough stocks and bulks up a bit without losing speed
  14. Calipari did his thing and promised Wagner a starting spot to land him, and then had to play him over Sheppard and Dillingham
  15. Jimmer was a 4th year senior who shot 34%, 38%, 44%, and 40% from three. Sheppard is a true freshman who shot 54% from a deeper three point line
  16. I think Filipowski goes higher than expected tonight. Plug and play stretch 5 who can also pass and dribble a bit
  17. I wouldn't trade up for Risacher either. If he falls to #4, then fine Carter or Williams at #4 would be interesting, and then Knecht or Dillingham at #8 (if you don't go with Carter at #4) would be interesting
  18. So could many more other players who still can't shoot Also, Jimmy was actually decent at Marquette from three, albeit at smaller volume; 38%
  19. There's one good- but not great- Euro shooter, and he might not be available at #3 If you just want a shooter, then Sheppard, Dillingham, and Knecht are all potentially elite shooters, with Sheppard potentially being one of the best in the league
  20. It seems that NYK is trying to negotiate with OG, while OG just wants the biggest contract possible, which NYK is struggling to make work
