  1. Disco 7 looks like a hard pass for me
  2. These beauties arrived today from Seelbach’s.
  3. "I think he's as good on the offensive side of the ball as anyone in football, whether it's pro or college, and I think Dan's going to have other opportunities to go out and coach football and I think he's going to be successful at it," Stricklin said. "But, you know, this is a place that you should be able to have a high level of sustained success over a consistent period of time. And to do that, you have to have a lot of little things in place. People look at losses as a cause to get rid of a coach, but a lot of times, the losses are for things that don't go right in the field, those are symptoms of other issues.“ This is what the Florida AD said today about firing Mullen. You can easily replace “Dan” with “Steve” for our situation. If you want to have the job at Texas, Florida, Bama, OU and the like, you better be competing for a conference championship on a regular basis or you ass will be out of a job. You want to make $5MM+ a year, you better be ready to handle those expectations. I was a big fan of the Sark hire, but I have no issue ending this charade at the end of this season. I don’t care that it’s only been one season. If you lose to Kansas, you ain’t the guy. There’s no point continuing the charade any further as it only puts a year behind in getting the program where it should be.
  4. What an incredibly lame and lazy take. We are a bonafide blue blood football program that is the in-state flagship university with near limitless resources. There is zero reason for our fanbase to not have lofty expectations every season. Should Bama, OU or Ohio State fans be considered “toxic” if their programs went through a decade of extreme underperformance as we have? Fuck no. If anything is “toxic” at UT it’s the administration. Their inability to identify and hire the right coach for this job now three times in a row is absolutely mind boggling. At the end of the day, if you can’t find a way to beat Kansas at home, even with all of the roster issues we have, you’re proven to not be the right guy. End of story.
  5. Really fun reboot. Didn’t try to do too much with the plot and stayed close to its roots. Trying to do another would probably be a stretch, but playing up all the nostalgia in this one was great.
  6. I’ll also note it wasn’t $300 for one bottle. Three bottle for $100 each. Might have paid over MSRP by $10 or so each, but with free shipping it works out. Plus, I’m willing to pay a bit of a premium since Blue Run isn’t in TX.
  7. A buddy of mine told me about a workaround where you set your order for pickup, but then reach out to their customer service department and they arrange for you to send a shipping label to them and they mail it to you. I ordered my Blue Run thinking I could do this, but when I reached out they said that they can’t do that for Blue Run. But they said since I ordered $300 worth of bourbon they would ship it to me.
  8. Got a buddy that hooked me up with a Bardstown Ferrand (from his friend that owns a liquor store in KY). Also waiting on my Blue Run High Rye bourbon to come in from Seelbach’s. Can’t wait for both to show up.
  9. It’s refreshing to see a bunch of the new guys have solid fundamentals with some nice athletic ability instead of genetic freaks who run around with zero basketball IQ.
  10. I liked batch 2 of PG well enough but I don’t think it’s $150-good to invest in another batch. I’d say buy one if you haven’t gotten one of the other batches.
  11. Dulling the sting of yet another pathetic team performance with some Remus V and Bowman Single Barrel.
  12. When there’s something strange in his neighborhood, Lincoln Riley doesn’t know who to call.
  13. I didn’t have a problem with the story revolving around Dickie, but Johnny Boy and Junior should have been much more involved. The whole storyline with Leslie Odom didn’t make any sense and was unnecessary. Plus, where was all the drug use that Christopher mentioned about Dickie? Is this supposed to mean that Dickie’s “habit” was more of a manifestation in Christopher’s mind? With so much great source material to draw from from the original series, my only hope is that this movie is the vehicle that delivers all those great stories via a prequel series.
  14. I’ve grown tired of the hunt as well. 90% of what I’ve purchased this year has come through my Patreon membership with the Bourbon Junkies YouTube channel. I’ve bought 9-10 of their picks (including Knob Creek, Bulleit, Nulu and Starlight to name a few) with many more on the way. Every pick has been great and I’m fine with that. Sure, I’ll keep an eye out on my trips to stores for the allocated stuff, but my days of waiting outside at 8am are done. It’s just not worth it when there’s so much high quality juice out available with much less effort.
  15. Sideserf Cake Studio. It’s run by celebrity baker Natalie Sideserf who has been on numerous baking competition shows. Her cakes are ridiculously expensive, but they are also custom made and very delicious. She can basically make whatever you want. She has a YouTube channel so you can check out some of her work there.
  16. Good plan. That overturn completely changed the tide of the game. KSU was gashing the aggy defense that drive and the replay stoppage gave them time to regroup. Next play the qb throws that horrible pick and bails out their D. It’s a completely different game if they even score three on that drive and go into halftime with some momentum.
  17. Fuck Kent State. This has been a completely winnable game and their qb shit the bed.
  18. Horrendous overturn. Killed Kent State momentum and got the crowd all charged up. Thanks, fucking moronic ref.
  19. Or you could just suck the spillage between those nice tites
  20. Yeah those III and IV batches can still be found quite often. I hear they’re both really good as well, so enjoy!
  21. Agreed, it's just a money grab. A few short controlled scrimmages against another team is all that's needed. And injuries happen in practices all the time. It sucks, but it’s part of sports. Injuries happen. Preseason is definitely “needed” to get rookies and younger players in-game action as well as for roster evaluation. Whether teams charge fans to see these games is a different argument. Hopefully he makes a full recovery and can show out next season.
  22. Opened it last night. Lots of berry fruit flavors came through for me. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
