  1. Udoka is not a fighter. Unless it involves sexually assaulting women. He is nothing more than an attention-seeking bully. Bullies always feel the need to mouth off. Udoka is nothing more than that. This bully gets to hide behind being a coach which keeps normal human beings like LeBron and every other NBA player from punting him straight into the sun. They are grown men who value their jobs and taking care of their families, unlike that gutless clown. Udoka is a cowardly middle aged man with anger issues. He should be sitting either in jail or a psych ward right now. He should not be on an NBA sideline.
  2. Aww man that’s awesome! I have mentioned before that one of my best friends is a graduate of SOC. His sons all played for DISD schools (Samuell, Pinkston and the last one at Carter where he was all-state.) He played for the Golden Bears in the late 80’s on the hardwood. If I wasn’t a 25+ year supporter of TGJM I’d wear that.
  3. This is rich coming from Udoka. I am no LeBron defender, but a clown fraud of a coach, one who is a sexual predator going back to his Spurs days no less, calling anyone that is high comedy. Of course LeBron isn’t going to attack a coach. His name isn’t Draymond Green. If he wanted to he could beat him to a pulp, but he’s a grown-up and is there to play, not physically destroy a coach who absolutely deserves a beatdown. What an absolute joke of a human being to even try to play the macho tough guy when the face of the league tells you using that word isn’t cool.
  4. She’s pretty awesome. I believe her name is Yori Saneyoshi. She has two bodyguards and the only time I have ever seen her show emotion was Kobe’s last game. I think it’s great how she is such a die-hard fan yet never tries to draw any attention to herself. What a cool deal to get to see all those world class basketball players for decades now from the best seat in the house.
  5. I went to church for years down off the East end of Illinois starting in 1999. Oak Cliff and Sunny South Dallas were always good to me. Made so many good lifelong friends in both areas. One of my friends from college that played for Madison now has his “Junior” getting ready to be in high school soon in Newton as the mom is from there. If he is anything like his father he is going to be hell on wheels on both sides of the ball for the Eagles.
  6. That defense and special teams. Well that and the teams they play are coached by Bret Bielema and Bielema clones.
  7. Michigan’s offense is hot garbage, but that’s largely because Iowa probably has the best defense in college football. If they had even a semi-functional offense and a QB that could at least start for a 5A high school in Texas they would be even right now. The Hawkeye defensive players are just incredible to watch because they know going into each game they have to play almost perfect to win against every team because of their offense.
  8. Heard about this place for awhile. Need to check it out. I've seen some of the pictures and definitely looks like a heart attack waiting to happen I first went there 15 years ago or so. The fries are cooked in bacon grease and I got a triple with just cheese (no veggies) and it took an hour to finish the whole thing. It’s a literal hole-in-the-wall place, but they do breakfast and lunch if I remember right.
  9. Good. Hope the Golden Bears get that 3-peat! Best hamburger in Dallas is right down the street at Wingfield’s if it is still around.
  10. Lee Boy has Allen on the right track. They had their opportunities to get control of that game in the 3rd quarter, but they don’t have the athletes or QB to do it. North Crowley had a gear that Allen just does not have yet. I am biased because Coach Wig is from Lampasas, but I told a friend when he took the job that by his 3rd year they’d be really good again. Last year was a really rough first year for him personally because he lost his father during the season. His dad was his best friend and he coached him. They talked every single day of his life, even when he was away at Angelo State playing. His dad was such a good man and he took the loss really hard. Former Horn Curtis Thrift was a HS teammate of his and he spoke at the funeral. I hope he is back for another year because he has won at every single level as a head coach going back to Bosqueville, Comfort, Mexia and Midlothian Heritage. I saw his Bosqueville team years ago. Hard to believe how far he has come the last 25 years.
  11. Yeah that was the darndest string of turnovers I have seen since I don’t know when. It just snowballed all at once on them it felt like. I agree on that back. When he was getting it they were moving the chains and eating up big chunks of yardage. That’s going to be a big loss if he misses next week. That duo is so productive together. I guess that’d move Singletary up in the pecking game order. Fallon might even get a few more snaps as a WR. He has had one of the best seasons of any sophomore in the state and should go over 2000 on the ground this week. He’s already there with his all-purpose yardage. I hope they stay with Lampasas next realignment because I want to see two more years of Fallon against Badgers RB Jett Walker who had as productive a season as Fallon.
  12. Just incredible that Gilmer did not kneel down. Then even more nutty was Gilmer taking a timeout when Carthage was going to get a delay of game on the conversion attempt.
  13. That call to go for it by Gilmer on 4th and 6 was incredible. What a catch.
  14. Davenport and Chapel Hill in the semi-finals as Chapel Hill survives 21-19 against Kilgore.
  15. Davenport ends it with a turnover on downs and the back-up QB gets a TD to end it at 55-20. Now the fun begins next week when Davenport will face a team as athletic as them as none of the four teams they have played have been close to them in that aspect yet.
  16. 48-20 Davenport. This was 20-20 after Calhoun got a stop with 6 minutes left in the 3rd. 9 minutes of game time later they are down four touchdowns.
  17. Four consecutive turnovers for Calhoun. The last one on an interception. You can see why they don’t throw it much, but no choice there.
  18. That should be game right there. Complete meltdown by Calhoun with that fumble in the end zone.
  19. Turnover Calhoun on the pitch. Another short field for Davenport for another TD. This could get out of hand pretty quickly if they don’t score on this drive.
  20. Davenport with an easy score off of a muffed punt. Two weeks in a row that the opponent’s special teams are handing the Wolves free points.
  21. If Davenport would hang onto the football this game would already be out of reach. They get a big play out of the passing game, have Calhoun’s defense on their heels and they run the ball the next play inside the 10 and fumble. Just throw the ball in that situation. Instead Calhoun gets that incredible touchdown run three plays later. Kinda thought Davenport would be susceptible to giving up big plays because of their lack of size on defense, but credit to a undermanned Calhoun team for hanging around so far.
  22. There’s several really good movies out right now. The pendulum is swinging back in the direction away from comic book movies because of over saturation of the genre. This movie will probably not be liked by historians and amateur historians. Scott made it really clear this wasn’t going to be a movie for those people. It makes the complaining a bit of a head-scratcher from that group of folks.
  23. I am guessing the QB for Collinsville still went over 5000 yards for the season. He needed around 150 yards through the air to pull that off.
  24. 30 years ago two of those three were in 3A and were very, very bad at football. I remember that Lampasas beat Lake Travis 63-16 that year and played a group on offense for the 4th quarter called Roy’s Boys. This involved our starting DT playing tailback and we still scored a TD. Drip was not much better and lost 44-15 that year to the Badgers. Another true story that happened because of that game with Lake Travis is this. Troy Rogers (Current Lampasas head coach and former North Shore OC), the 3A Offensive MVP was 2nd team all-district because Lake Travis and one other school wouldn’t vote for him in the all-district meeting because of how bad they were beaten.
  25. I’m big on riding the subway, LIRR or Metro-North. Amtrak as well, but I also enjoy airplane trips. I love trains though and they’re all relaxing to me. Never have wanted to ride in a helicopter.
