  1. That side of the island is quiet and there is nothing wrong with living in Kahuku. I would have gladly chosen to be there had I visited the area last year before moving. The Polynesian families here like areas where it is quiet and that place qualifies as peaceful. Areas also change. No place stays the same anywhere. 30 years ago Williamsburg was not hipsterville in NYC. It changed. Same as here and everywhere else.
  2. If you would have actually visited here you’d know that living on that side of the island is the desired place to live at. Since you obviously have not though you are talking out of your backside.
  3. Was in Costco a few weeks back and they were already selling the Nativity scene setup.
  4. And that’s fair. We all set aside some disbelief at times for a movie like this though.
  5. Saw that DC had Lampasas ranked in the top 25 to begin the season. I am not certain if they made that ranking still thinking Ty Johnson would be playing for the Badgers this year. He transferred out to Crean Lutheran in Irvine, CA where he immediately got put into the top 20 recruits in CA in 2027 and is in the top 150 nationally. I can’t argue with him leaving to go to a school that has a four star QB in his class. Lampasas would have been ridiculously good though with him and RB Jett Walker (WV commit) had he stayed as well.
  6. Do you think he won’t expand it further? He’ll just build an adjacent structure to it with no roof or toilets to house people.
  7. And tonight that dachshund walked out to the middle of the Rainbow Bridge and pissed all over Dobson with a smile on its face.
  8. I think we have passed the point where he cares what a court says. That thing isn't closing until TFG is no longer in power.
  9. Among the MANY, MANY things that absolutely have to happen once we are through this is the jettisoning of the entire grifting clan. All of them have to get deported. You can't leave any of his kids in this country. If you don't then another generation will be revisiting this garbage down the road and it'll be the fault of those who didn't kick this grifting clan right on out of the country permanently.
  10. I have mentioned a few times on this board that I am a paid subscriber to Defector. Albert Burneko is one of my longtime favorite writers on there going back to the Deadspin days before they all quit en masse. Today Albert did what he does best (Besides his articles about the Wizards) and he wrote a few things about Dobson. Here’s a gift article. Again I highly suggest subscribing to this site. It is the exact type of site people here want to be able to read and they are a couple of weeks away from their five year anniversary. https://defector.com/james-dobson-is-dead-was-a-monster?giftLink=09927193fd80f11d1b0f45264e4ad0e6 Edit: The comments after the article from those who suffered abuse because of Dobson’s teachings is rage-inducing.
  11. Not this guy. You will not see me reenacting the scene from Blazing Saddles asking about them. Now a Brazilian, Ethiopian or Nigerian and you’ve got my attention.
  12. They partially showed her assets twice in Eden. I don’t know a whole lot about her, but I do gather that quite a bit of her popularity is her looks. I did think she was pretty good in her role in Eden though.
  13. Eden. It was this week’s Monday night movie where Regal doesn’t tell you what it will be. It was interesting and it took me a bit to recognize Sydney Sweeney since she was playing a German woman. Ana de Armas and Vanessa Kirby were in it as well as Jude Law. Ron Howard directs it. It was a good one-off movie.
  14. The amount of people in TFG’s orbit that will eventually be found to be pedophiles is going to be quite the list.
  15. Sounds like fascism because, well, it is.
  16. Coming from New York to here one of the biggest adjustments is when I am walking somewhere. People meander A LOT when they walk here. Just all over the place like a drunk uncle at a cookout. I adjusted to it and it mostly doesn’t bother me because I mean what is the hurry to get anywhere here? We all live on an island in the middle of the Pacific. When I first arrived last year I had to realize life is the exact opposite of Manhattan. I move far slower now, but it took awhile. The drunk uncle-like walking from people is still odd to me, but I laugh about it more than anything now.
  17. One of the most hideous and appalling things that happened during the entirety of the 14 years of the Pacific War. The things human beings are capable of in a situation such as that are just breathtakingly horrific.
  18. Of course they don't. They also wouldn't realize that was one of the first groups of people to officially take on Christianity as their religion. They also believe in religious freedom so that's not gonna mesh well with the Pedo Party.
  19. There are times I have thought about wearing some headphones in places where it is really loud, but I haven't yet. It would help me out internally, but I like experiencing life and actively participating in the world around me when I can.
  20. Reading this for my first class of the fall semester. Larson put together quite a narrative with this one of that first year for Churchill as prime minister. So much was going on around him with his family as well as his advisers and ministers. Can’t believe this was happening 85 years ago.
  21. This was not a movie that I needed any backstory on the character.
  22. We absolutely do. These clowns will do everything in their power to convince you otherwise, but we have the ability to mock, belittle and generally make fun of them constantly. No strongman (or woman for that matter) likes being mocked. What Newsom did was a well-planned salvo at an idiot that will absolutely take the bait. You treat fascists like the overgrown spoiled brat children that they are and not as dignified people.
  23. Mr. Tanaka is quite the conflicted human being.
