  1. If you ever want to find out if you're talking to a cult member or not just say that you used to live in NY, LA, Chicago or any city that TFG and Fox News say is against him. Really easy way to cut off having to talk just by the reaction of "Oh you actually lived there?"
  2. Plenty of comedy. Leo's character was all over the place, but it made sense why.
  3. This was a masterpiece of a movie with some great cinematography. Col. Lockjaw brought the lulz every time he started walking. Nailed America in 2025 to a T.
  4. Looking through a couple of his posts shows he played somewhere in the 72-76 range.
  5. We need to find out who this guy is. He’s Jewish and played for UT in the 70’s. Looking at the team photos from then singles out a few people. Sure would be nice to let Durant and the other guys know how much vitriol he has for them.
  6. I gotta tell ya the adults are really starting to worry me. Feel like maybe the children should be back in control of things.
  7. I work with a young fella really going through it. I told him when he got off work today that he was welcome to meet me at Waimanalo Beach to fish. He went and bought a rod and made it there. I sat and listened to him for 3 hours or so. Listening is more helpful than lecturing. I told him I don’t look down on him because I have been in his shoes with alcohol. I guess this morning he also found out his girlfriend had an abortion I believe. He dealt with the day by drinking and being a bottle of vodka to the beach. I did not judge him for drinking I just told him to put the bottle away. I didn’t ask him to pour it out because, and he said this before I did, that he’d just buy another bottle tonight. This is an exceptionally intelligent young guy. Alcohol, and to an extent Adderall and apparently cocaine, are issues. Mostly alcohol though. His parents no longer talk to him, but I did tell him to reach out to them because he is missing so much of his support system. Last thing I said is I am his friend and that anytime he needs to talk or vent about life or share details about it that he can. I do this with everyone I meet in life that is going through it. I hope for the best for him and that he can beat his demons. He has such a tormented soul and does not like himself.
  8. At the rate that this clown makes proclamations that don’t hold up, if he says Ethiopia and Eritrea are great neighbors again I would expect to see them lobbing shells at each other within a day solely because TFG is a moron.
  9. I saw Eric Morris play basketball at the state tournament for Shallowater years ago. His dad was his coach if I remember right.
  10. It’s never too late in life to pursue what you like. I would gander that my situation in life is decidedly different than yours, but think about pursuing what you thoroughly enjoy and love to do. You get one shot at life so do as much as you can while you can before you can’t. I feel like I stumble head-first into most things I enjoy, but the adventure of it keeps me going forward.
  11. So let’s say Gameday adds him. How long before McAfee shows up wearing a shirt with “I’m a man, I’m 40!” on the set?
  12. I veer far from fiction, but the account in The Plague kept my attention. I think it helps having an English professor that goes in-depth on each book. You can tell who the English majors are in this course though. I learn from them as well which is cool aspect of a crossover class like this.
  13. Both wars have cool literature, but my own personal preference veers towards non-fiction when I read. I do not enjoy fictional stories even if they are based on actual events. That said I appreciate that people will write fictional stories based on each war for people who enjoy it. I am certain there are plenty of authors that produced exceptional work based on the 2nd World War. Saying one is far beyond the other literature-wise is just an opinion because none of us here, or anywhere else in the world for that matter, has read more than a tiny fraction of the books written worldwide about either conflict.
  14. I’m good with them continuing to find out into perpetuity. Every single person in that state that voted for TFG should feel a financial burden that completely breaks them.
  15. OAN might be more his speed. Get an FCS Game of the week on that channel and let him do his thing.
  16. I am going to use it to do some work as an historian in a South Pacific country.

    Brazil

I think they'll hold it together and Bolsonaro will die in prison. Democracy is messy, but there are millions and millions of people there that want democracy and are willing to go to bat for it in a way we are not here.
  18. Water is wet and all that fun stuff. I would trade all 78 million of them for just a few of the Brazilians out in the streets across their country reminding the politicians that Bolsonaro messed around and found out and that there will not be a repeat of the amnesty mistake again. They are what a patriot looks like.
  19. He’s not losing any money or having to experience much in the way of misery, but Nick Bosa suffering a season-ending ACL tear made me smile. I hope he rehabs and the first play that comes back next year results in tearing his other ACL. Absolute maga trash, he is.
  20. I would be cool with all of us that have autism getting to line up and hit this moron in the face with a bear skull. These are the absolute dumbest people our nation has ever seen.
  21. Same here. Don't care. He's gone and in the dustbin of history.
  22. I always kinda tap-danced around him because he’s exceptionally quick with the personal vitriol. Then he usually chides people he thinks he’s superior to. The most intelligent person in the room never has to attempt to remind you of their brilliance. People who do that are never among the smartest folks in society. Between that repetitive act and intentionally staking out positions on obscure things, as well as positions diametrically opposed by most of the people posting here is, well, just not cool. Quoting and responding to those posts just encourages that behavior.
  23. As many of you here know I am in the midst of getting a masters in World War II History from ASU. This has been a fantastic journey with the classes I have had. Right now I am doing a World War II in Literature class with Professor Horan. Her correspondence back and forth has been really helpful in better understanding what I have read. I would highly suggest reading The Plague by Albert Camus. Such an amazing work and glad I have now read it. It’s an allegory to France having been occupied by the Nazis. I think that book would be a really good read for many of us considering what we are witnessing. I’d also suggest reading the works of Gabriela Mistral. Her fight against fascism in Spain, South America and Europe before and during World War II is a good guide for what we should do as well. Find a bit of spare time and read what I mentioned if you can. There is hope in their words.
  24. Kick was what you want on an onside. Great game to watch. Will come back here again. Matsuzawa is going to get a shot to kick on Sundays with his leg and accuracy.
  25. Oh my God he dropped it. Right there in his hands.
