  1. Suck it Baylor!
  2. I think we beat Baylor. We can run the football and Baylor has an FCS-level run defense. Leavitt and Tyson should have at least one big play in them. I think we have to score at least 35 to win. Should be fun to see if we can get after Robertson.
  3. I remember back in the late 80’s seeing the KVUE highlights for games. The guy who will forever stand out to me was Vic Lombardi. I remember he penned the nickname Pablo “Picasso” Jass for the sophomore QB for Lampasas back in 1994. I believe he gave him that nickname either after Lampasas beat LBJ in the playoff upset or not long before that. He was the local Austin version of an ESPN caliber guy. Glad to see all the success he has had back home in Denver as well as beating cancer.
  4. 7th grade was the Texas History year in Lampasas. That was fun back then. Had Coach Carroll teaching it. He made history fun. The “Baron” was an eclectic character, but like most Prussian military leaders he was exceptionally well organized and understood what that did for an undermanned force (Which Prussia always was in regards to its neighbors.). In my opinion his contribution was equal to what any one person did for the Continental Army.
  5. Please just stop quoting this poster. They post solely to get attention. Have some dialogue with posters here that argue in good faith (I know, I know.) and add something positive to the discussion or at least something worth debating about.
  6. I can’t see how he isn’t included. Back when education in Texas was normal he was someone we learned about in elementary school.
  7. I was just talking about him Wednesday with @Orale. One of the biggest contributions of the entire war was his part in it.
  8. Lampasas 31 Wimberley 24. Pretty good 2nd half from the Texans to make this one close. Lampasas has a pretty good shot to go into Stephenville undefeated if they can beat Waco U next week. The Badgers have some really good line play up front on both sides of the ball which has been good to see.
  9. Lampasas up 24-7 on the road against Wimberley. Wimberley having issues with all the formations they are seeing. Coach Rogers pulling out some of the old formations his high school coach, Rod Hess, was using 30 years ago when he was the QB of the Badgers offense.
  10. Might I suggest Ted take a vacation. Perhaps to Africa to go on a trophy hunt. Maybe he decides on wanting to get a Cape Buffalo. I think we could all pitch in and help him do this. I mean what could go wrong hunting one of those gentle beasts?
  11. Is there something he still does? I’ll be honest and say the last I heard of him was The Man Show. I figured maybe he might’ve attempted producing or something like that.
  12. I've been telling friends now to make sure they have a plan to move in case they need it. I try to explain a bit of it from an historical perspective and why having an exit plan, even if just to a different state, is a good idea. Anytime I call it out I will do it in a pretty measured tone and tell why a particular action from our government warrants me talking about things. When I talk with foreigners I ask for ideas about what jobs would be good to pursue in their country for the things I am interested in. I fully expect to work in another country starting in 2027, if not earlier. I'd actually be okay with earlier, but we'll see what transpires.
  13. That guy was as much of an actual Christian as I am to being the king of England. It is absolutely infuriating watching the Christo-fascists hijack Christianity and weaponized it against non-believers or other faiths. Real “Crusadish” type actions going on here.
  14. I appreciate you opening up and sharing your own personal struggle and thoughts on this. That is not easy to do so thank you.
  15. I can watch gory at times, but not always. Again I always preface my thoughts on films in that none of them will get every person to like them. We all have different tastes in film and what we enjoy. I won’t bash this film, especially because of Roman Griffin Davis being in it. He is in Jojo Rabbit as everyone here knows. That’s my favorite film of all-time. I hope he has many more roles ahead of him and that he turns into a star.
  16. I would say that at some point someone on Stephen Miller’s staff will compile a list of sites that are critical of TFG. This one will be on it and so will my favorite site that I subscribe to which is Defector. David Roth’s writing about TFG alone will get them on there. Roth is the best political writer in America and has been for a good long while. I hope more people will subscribe to them because as they grow they add more writers to the staff and give more freelance writers the chance to write for them.
  17. She’s a racist and a trash person.
  18. So I met this elderly couple. Married for 41 years and they've lived in the Los Angeles area for 50 years now. Because of this clown show that is ICE, these two people, who are retired, should just get to be enjoying their lives without worrying about ICE picking them up. The wife says they now both carry their passport with them everywhere they go in case they do get detained. This is where we are at. Elderly Hispanics who contributed good things to society (He was a welder for the last 20 working years of his life, and she just retired from WIC after 36 years.) and yet now everyday they realize they could be picked up off the street just because of how they look. For those of you that kept friends who are in the cult give them a thank you for doing this to people like the ones I met. That story got to me, and I won't forget them.
  19. Not just here. I met a couple from Ukraine a few days ago that were relocated to the San Francisco area. This is more a worldwide thing. Seeing people displaced by war and knowing what they are going through, among other things, made that movie too hard to watch. Again, it doesn't mean it's not good. I just couldn't stay to see all of it. Sometimes a movie just triggers something inside to where I just leave. This was one of those. Not the first time it's happened on a movie over the years.
  20. I saw it once. It was more than I needed to see it. Reveling in violence as a society just begets more of it. We passed that point a good while back though.
  21. The last part is probably why I left. Watching what should be fiction now possibly turning into reality kinda hits home with me. Hoffman’s kid is going to be in some really big movies. He’s not getting jobs because of his name. He’s talented.
  22. I cry no tears for the NYT. I could not possibly care any less if they ceased operations because they deserve a giant part of the blame for the last decade. Also Haberman can get thrown in the middle of the Pacific with no life raft. You got your access and you helped destroy this country because you wanted a story more than doing the right thing.
  23. I am glad to hear you have a plan. The money at that point that you’ll leave behind won’t mean much if you are facing an imminent threat to you and the life of your family. Just getting out is most important. You just rebuild from there is that is what becomes necessary. It won’t be easy, but the alternative is not fun.
