  1. Hot Wheels is a garbage human being.
  2. I don’t disagree with one bit of that. We are going to see lives taken away for no reason. None of this has to be happening, but this is what fascists do. Make a crisis happen where none exists and use brutal force putting down said crisis. It’s disgusting and everyone associated with it needs to be prosecuted when we get to the other side of this. LA I think is going to be wild. It’s a powder keg waiting to explode. TFG would love nothing more than to have that or NYC be the place he gets to mete out some fascist justice. Being a former LA guy you would have far more insight into what people there will do than I would. I’m just someone that has always loved SoCal. I would prefer just seeing peaceful protests, but that is not how this usually goes with a regime like this one that’s trying to emulate the strongman dictator of 20th century Europe.
  3. I spent that summer protesting and had some interesting things I was able to witness in-person in NYC and DC. The difference is the summer is going to see some violent encounters between cops and those protesting. TFG feels enabled right now to do whatever he wants to people he perceives as the enemy. Again this is looking a lot like Italy a century ago.
  4. This will be a summer unlike any in modern American history. We’ll all bear witness to the same abuses of power against our fellow citizens that we have seen in other places around the world. This still has more resemblance to Mussolini’s Italy in the 20’s than anything else. Thank God the people in charge of this three ring circus are complete morons instead of someone like Idi Amin or Stalin that’d just have everyone liquidated for protesting.
  5. I started it late last night. Honestly it’s kinda cool watching the 1st one after seeing the 2nd one. I saw some things already in the first one that I manage in my life that Affleck’s character does as well. I’m excited to watch more when I get home tonight from the beach.
  6. I think the Sky should hire Larry Bird to coach them next season. Larry Legend coaching Reese would be must see TV. Mic him up for every game just for the reactions to all of these ridiculous attempts inside of three feet.
  7. Why is she dressed like she just came inside from a blizzard?
  8. I will take your recommendation on this. The part of not having a relationship with his brother hit home with me, but for different reasons. I will go check out the first one though.
  9. I had fun watching this, but mostly I was curious to see Affleck portraying someone on the spectrum since I am on it. I never saw the first one as that was a time in life where I did not watch many movies, but I enjoyed this one. I saw some of the same things I deal with on a daily basis so I found it interesting overall.
  10. That movie was a good time last night. I always like movies that are set in the snow. They always find fun new ways to kill people. Can’t wait for the next installment in the John Wick universe.
  11. You can hook the OKC call right into my veins. The utter disappointment and sadness those clowns were experiencing in that moment was fantastic.
  12. @Derka gonna need you to find out what’s has happened to UT basketball legend @realgreggym. See if his children are in charge of his ability to post on here. I can’t see any other reason that this all-time great Longhorn would not come back here to admit that he’s a complete and total moron.
  13. Bill Halsey rolling over in his grave.
  14. One Stoops bag o' dicks down and three to go.
  15. As soon as he got the ball I think we all knew he was going to nail it. He should go get a legalized name change to Overrated and have that on his jersey next year. When they were down 15 did anyone think they weren’t going to at least take it down to the wire? This is an incredible run they’re on in this postseason. The right mix of guys doing fun things in clutch moments over and over again.
  16. This was a fun game to watch not only because of the latest ridiculous comeback and Haliburton dagger, but also because there’s no gambling out here. People actually talked about the game and not the money they won or lost. First time in several years that I could talk with someone about the game like that who didn’t want to tell me about their parlay that was 2 points from whatever random player they needed to go over to win a few thousand.
  17. The amount of homelessness I see on a daily basis is astounding and it makes me feel for those who do not have a place to live. I will add that there are a few that I do find to be intriguing because of things I notice. One guy is at the same bus stop and he's always laying under the canopy reading books. Another one I say on the bus last week and he was being his usual loud and obnoxious self. Definitely a former New Yorker in his younger days. Three Australian women were trying to get to a place here and he would not leave them alone on the bus. I gave a knowing look to one of the women and they kinda laughed and just ignored him. Every single time I see someone though I always wonder what was the breaking point in their life that led to being permanently homeless. I feel like we should be doing more to help folks out, especially the mental health part of the equation.
  18. Eritrea is a country of importance to me due to the proximity to Ethiopia and the senseless war between the two this century. I have a really good friend that is from the country next to Chad. He's from Niger (Almost everyone says oh he's from Nigeria.) which was a former French colony. His story about the country's first railroad and the day it opened made me laugh so hard I cried. Niger is on my list of countries I want to see solely for the railroad debacle.
  19. Captain Jack seems like he has plenty of free time to do this.
  20. That was my first thought, but way too brutal. Watching the video of that still makes me cringe.
  21. That’s accurate from what I have seen. I have not watched near as much as longtime WNBA fans, but yeah there is no superstar calls or protection going on. I think it’s going to take one of Clark’s teammates going McHale on Rambis to get this to stop. Otherwise I think the physicality against Clark will not stop. If you’re an opponent and know there are no repercussions for roughing up the star of your opponent you’re going to keep doing it. The league doesn’t seem interested in intervening on this.
  22. I saw several of those play for Nazareth years ago. One got splattered into the goal support in the 98 state title game against Wortham. Leonard Davis threw a massive elbow and the poor kid went flying.
  23. He inserts himself into this for bigoted reasons. That should get called out anywhere. Any decent human being that doesn’t like bigotry should say the same.
  24. Great insult. Really put on your thinking cap for that one. If you don’t understand this it’s on you. You don’t let bigots have a say. If you think that James Woods deserves to have any voice in this you are as bad as he is.
  25. I think it’s an interesting thought, but I think where Clark’s impact will reverberate with her competitors is when she wins the WNBA title. Once that happens I think the dislike from players in the WNBA will subside. The talent coming through plays more her style. At least the stars coming up do. The league really needs Watkins to come back fully healthy. Right now she is the one I would put money on to be Clark’s biggest competition. Her or Bueckers who is doing really well so far this season, concussion notwithstanding.
