  1. If you're struggling to grasp my writing, you should probably put me on ignore and stay focused on whoever it is that keeps you coming back, I guess.
  2. I assume you have to read most sports journalism while wearing a straightjacket and taking prozac in order to prevent you from doing something dangerous to yourself or those around you.
  3. The guy they're likely leaning on if they want to fire Earley would be making the decision based around what kind of moves he's made in the market the past few days and how that has him feeling. Given that, unless Alberts has already flat out decided to keep the guy, no one really knows what's going to happen. Alberts and Tarpley have an overtly hostile relationship, so I don't think ol'Trev has given Tarp any guidance.
  4. I assume the Texas versions of these games would remain on a schedule, even with 9 games. Why would you guys get rid of these and not the FCS dogshit? While neither team is a power, both are capably of fielding bowl teams.
  5. Well, look, I don't like being hypocritical. I don't begrudge anyone being wordy. My bigger issue is that his stuff is usually unentertaining, monotonous, and mildly insane.
  6. “Okay guys, it is time to get SERIOUS about winning!! I mean, let’s really mean it in 2025-2026!!!” That’ll learn’em!
  7. He and I have a standing appointment at the Sugarland Appleby’s every Wednesday evening at 7.
  8. You’re probably right. That guy would be in the running to win a national contest.
  9. BTW, regarding Wolk on Griffin, he posted an update today admitting that Texas and FSU likely have as good a shot as Bama. Griffin is OVing to Georgia this weekend, but they’re not bullish about landing him.
  10. I asked about this guy and Howard to one of the best evaluators in the business. His view is that this staff is developing really well and they have everything needed to become excellent CFB dbs and Howard could easily be transformed into an early round pick if he really wants to put in the work and stay healthy. Apparently the Riley guy has ridiculous instincts? If he’s one of those dbs who can see the future, they don’t come around every cycle. Probably wishcasting to that level, but should be fun to watch. They’re definitely looking for guys they can develop who won’t be hitting the portal after one fall semester. They’re still going to take any of the highly ranked guys that they can reel in at db.
  11. I may have been too subtle for this forum. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0256394/
  12. Are we doing this thing here where we don't care about beating OU? Is that it? That's where we are right now?
  13. Is Lincoln Riley the most punchable face in the entire landscape of CFB? He's got to be near the top of the list. After thinking about it for a second, that might actually be worthy of its own thread. You've got Riley, Ryan Day, Bielema, Liucci, Danielson, Kirby Smart, James Franklin, Carson Beck, Venables, and Bill O'Brien just off the top of my head. It's a sport loaded with villains who look the part.
  14. Well, then you answered your own question, sir.
  15. Aaaaannnnndddd that's my view for coaching candidates at ATM for baseball, in the OU recruiting thread. Solid work. Replace what I just about Canham and sub Dillingham in and it kind of works still.
  16. Regarding "realistic" options, Canham at Oregon State is the one guy I would really prefer to see them avoid. He coaches at a weird school already. He recruits well, he develops well, and he's winning at a tough place to win (now, obviously they've won titles before NIL and losing conference affiliation). He's also really young, so he'd be there a while. Nope. Pick some other dude.
  17. Even if do right, no can defend?
  18. You people ignore the Blue Raiders from Murfreesboro at your own peril.
  19. Carlton is a 5 star? I guess I missed that one. Texas does not want to spend the fall playing catch-up at DT like last cycle. There's something to be said for taking an in-state guy that is "pretty good" while also cherry-picking nationally. They'd be insane not to take Carlton as the 4th guy in a 4 guy class if they can lock him up early.
  20. That last clown, like so many of them, is just flat out lying. "Barr fights" for wearing aggie shit. Right. Hell, I have been in multiple bar fights and never once was it because of a team shirt or hat. Now, guys talking shit when they should have known better? Sure. I can see that rube getting his ass beat a few times for not shutting up and whining out loud with all of his aggie tropes about tu and such. Watching these guys try to grasp where things sit is very gratifying. Some of them get it to some degree, and they have to think they're taking crazy pills due to other responses. Much like the talking heads in the media, many of their fans really believe that Texas and ATM are *this* close in football. It almost takes effort to possess that point of view right now. Texas has the best roster in CFB and ATM has a bunch of guys named Bob. There are maybe 15 guys on their entire roster that could make the Texas 85, and that might be stretching it. And, beautifully, the talent in this rivalry matters. It's not like OU historically, at all. Texas will be ready for ATM this fall, whether ATM is 9-2 or 2-9 heading into that game.
  21. I think you give Kendall Rogers too much credit. That aggie honk is crossing his fingers with the notion that 4 wins gets ATM into the tournament.
  22. Borba looks completely lost at the plate. He might as well be going up there with a foam bat. Same outcome.
