  1. I don’t remember this but this post made me laugh. I need to see the post and those around it. I was dogging the guy’s character and watching people shriek for a good 6 months. People who did the work knew this clown was going to fail.
  2. They’ve begun fully hyping up Taylor Wein at Edge opposite of Thomas. That either means they’re just doing it to claim amazing depth, or the 5 star DE and Jones Jr are absolutely busting and they need an escape route.
  3. I have that witless dipshit on ignore. My advice to him is to start his own thread on whatever subject is interesting to him and then put the work in to make it relevant to others. When someone steps out of line, neg them and shout them down. Then, watch that thread flourish. The rest of us will be green with envy and abandon all other threads to participate.
  4. Terrifying. This looks like Mega Alan Jackson skiing across the galactic plane.
  5. HOLY FUCKING SHIT!!?! Spoilered is a write-up from Tarp that lays out as subtly as he can that Reed is the same guy who sucked against prepared defenses last year, with posts following that rationalizing his points into some form of positivity, for the most part. This is Tarp at his best. He’s trying to tell them that the QB actually kind of sucks and he’s not going to get much better, but he knows who his audience is. He’s also giving The Elk his first “fuck you” of the fall and knows he’s headed for a reprimand accordingly. Greatness:
  6. I think Snopes did a thing on that picture and the shop owners provided a defense for it that I guess made a sliver of sense, but, yeah.
  7. I have to assume that we have some absolutely classic posts about Evans on that cycle’s thread. I remember in the early days, Evans was considered a once every 5 years kind of back. As time went on, it became clear that he was another North Shore fucktard and Texas was going to have other priorities. Then we’d occasionally have the drive-by football board poster show up and demand answers as to why Texas was focused on other recruitments, etc. Standard stuff, really.
  8. Spoilered below is a write-up on OU’s second practice earlier today. It’s pretty awesome. Highlights: -Injury problems have already started. We knew that Eli Bowen was hurt, but the fucking guy is limping around in a boot. What the hell is going on with OU’s medical group? Beyond him, multiple potential starters and backups are already not practicing. Tatum is hurt again, like clockwork. The Gibsons aren’t close to working out. -The skill players besides Ott are objectively terrible. Their WR group is dogshit. The TEs are worse. -The OL has holes all over it. Nwaiwu wasn’t at practice and they had a true freshman working with the ones and twos.
  9. I agree with this. When everything starts to slide towards irrevocable chaos around here, I show up and restore order.
  10. If that dude is returning punts or kicks, our season has careened sideways in a manner that will see this site burned to the ground and many posters with it.
  11. One thing I noticed for sure in June is that all of the casinos have lower minimum tables for craps and blackjack. I saw $15 at Aria and everywhere else, even on weekend nights. I’m hoping that holds. $50 mins last year was a fucking joke.
  12. Via Sikahema was of Pacific Islander descent and was truly force in the return game. The only similarities between that dude and Jaggy are they’re not black and played WR.
  13. At some point, I’m sure I did. My view about his college game evolved but doubted it again for the NFL. Outside of being white WRs, are you also comparing their skill sets as similar?
  14. An alleged doctor involved with OSU medical stuff said it is “an inverted low ankle sprain, will take anywhere between a few days to a few weeks before he’s back out there”. I know various doctors and perhaps even a nurse could tell us what “inverted low ankle sprain” means.
  15. Here’s a snippet about Ohio State’s NIL situation fed to Bill Kurelic from one his AD sources. The one thing he’s not telling them, that @alincoln previously noted in one of these threads about OSU for this cycle is donor fatigue. I’ve since heard the same. They’re not going to get Hiter, apparently losing him to Michigan, and their class is just “good” and they’re not in on a ton of remaining prospects for the cycle either. “ ** The why of NIL? … Why? That seems to be a common question among ’Nutters when it comes to NIL. There’s a belief that Ohio State has missed out on several high-caliber recruits because other programs are willing to amp their NIL game when the Buckeyes are not. We’ve asked around - a lot - and have a few vibes to pass along today and in the next few Houses about that. As one might expect, there were strong opinions on how Ohio State is approaching NIL and WHY. We will dive deep on that. Today is a little more basic. One source in the know’s opinion on the biggest factor working against the Buckeyes is “it’s a way more level playing field.” While Ohio State did not get off to the fastest start in the NIL era, your Buckeyes were elite over the last 18 months. Ohio State was among the best at generating funds and was “up there with Oregon and Texas” when it came to available NIL resources. Then came the NCAA change on July 1 that allows schools to directly spend up to $20.5 million annually on athletes. “Now literally everyone has money,” our source said. “That’s the main reason why it’s so tough. Lots of leverage out there.” More to come … a lot more.”
  16. This is getting ri-fricking-diculous now. Nahlin is a proven idiot and this is just reinforcements for the fight in that argument. This roster is loaded up and down. Jaggy McJaggerson isn’t cracking the top 70, folks. This is also getting hilarious. The build up on this guy is trending past absurd and straight into plaid.
  17. I laughed. Hey man, smoke all of the beef you want when Texas comes to town. We usually do as well.
  18. Ha, bravo to Stewart for being willing to address it and provide the origin reason. He’s another rock star who has hit on my wife, in front of me and 8,000 other people, while he was in his 70’s. That dude is still chasing pussy.
  19. I’ve never heard the “Rod Stewart is gay” urban legend. That guy has slayed more pussy than entire NBA teams.
  20. I’d never heard that before. I laughed as hard as I have in months, through the entire segment. When Rome was like that, he was as good as anyone. In the late 90’s, one of the Austin stations picked up a syndicated show called “The Don and Mike Show” It was two irreverent guys talking shit about anything and everything and they were often hit and miss. They had a segment where they’d just rapid fire phone calls and people would voice their hot takes, the guys might interact, and then they’d go to the next call. I’m listening while driving one day and they flip to a call and it sounds like dead air but you can faintly hear something. One of them stops the phone guy from flipping and says “turn it up, there’s something there”. They turn it up and you can hear it clearly - cheeks clapping. That brought the house down on the show for the rest of the day. I was swerving in my car I was laughing so hard listening to their commentary from there, once they recognized the noise.
  21. Gerry’s been the leading voice across even the national $9.95ers on Sharma as potential college gamechanger at DT. Even he is surprised by how that guy looks. He wasn’t penciled in to be in the 3 deep rotation but he may force his way in.
  22. It’s been like 25/26 years, but if memory serves, part of the hook in the whole thing is that you never actually saw anyone killed.
  23. I would argue that Downs and maybe even Styles are more or less as important. The big deal with the DL is that they have almost zero depth and, without Houston, pretty much no experience. Without naming names, a try-hard newcomer on the defensive side hit Baxter late on a meaningless play. Pretty much altered the entire course of the season by being an idiot. I don’t think it matters now. That dude, with the way he went down and being carted off the field, he ain’t making it back for the opener. I was really hoping to play them at full strength, too.
  24. I haven’t gotten around to making an aggie football 2025 thread like I wanted to, so spoilered below is the first Gigem247 writeup on the first fall practice. Highlights: -remember the WR hype we fed y’all last season? We were just kidding. Those guys all sucked, except the ones who are returning. Guess what? This year’s WR is fucking awesome. -I skipped the backup QB section, honestly. I assume Reed will get killed or yanked at some point this season and another spare will become the next great aggie hype QB. -the interior OL all lost a lot of weight after Elko enforced bloating them up as fatasses heading into last year. The backups, though, it looks like they were given the “gluttony” from Seven treatment during the offseason. Holy shit.
  25. For last year’s UF game, the chefs grilled or smoked a 5 foot gator, I don’t remember how it was prepared but it wasn’t fried, and then also served fried gator bites. This is at the buffet for the south end zone suites. I thought it was a funny set up to go with everything else they served. The bites could have really been any kind of chunky white meat. The grilled or smoked stuff was unique and good though.
