  1. I thought the OL played well all things considered. Yes, the penalties need to get cleaned up, but considering their first true start together on the road in that environment, it could have been a LOT worse. There were some encouraging interior runs too against a solid DL. I think better play calling and execution at the GL could have yielded better results there too.
  2. Yep, and of course, a no call. Fortunately they didn't overturn the catch, else that would have fucked us. And that no call was far more egregious than the ticky tacky call on Manny covering Jeremiah Smith. But that ticky tacky call was correct though.
  3. Many would argue he doesn't manage the game well because his focus is split by being both the HC and OC. I don't pretend to know the answer to that, but it's not implausible.
  4. It's one fucking game. The first fucking game. Now go smear your frothing yeasty gash with some Vagisil.
  5. Don't take this the wrong way, but it's already been posted a gazillion times already. Whether that stat is accurate has also been questioned, but I don't think the theme of Arch suffering game jitters is wrong.
  6. Positive rep and yes on both counts.
  7. My recollection is his vertical passes are better than lateral ones; i.e., the exact opposite of Ewers. But, he was not this bad last season. You could tell it was something he needed to work on though. Which is why I think this performance had way more to do with him getting inside his on head and a fear of failure than anything else. He's human and the ridiculously insane levels of hype got to him on the biggest ever opening road game. That's my take. He's got three games to even his keel and right his rudder. But I've never been one to be all that concerned with making predictions. So we'll see how he does.
  8. Agreed. Our defense is legit all things considered. The refs absolutely made a difference in this game too, by no calls against Ohio State. Not that I question the calls against us. I thought one PI was a little ticky tacky, but not one you could really argue against. The missed holding and PI calls against the Buckeyes were notable. But none of that matters if Arch doesn't shit the bed today.
  9. I didn't sugar coat shit. You've apparently missed my other comments and reps given to others on Arch playing like shit today. Likewise, you and others can tout all day long that we win today with Ewers and you are talking out of your ass, because that game was not played.
  10. We dont kink shame here
  11. Maybe Sark was scared Arch would give them a concussion with the ball Arch underthrew the RBs multiple times today. He did manage to connect to Baxter on a play. When your QB is missing more often than not, it isn't because of the OC. I think it's pretty obvious that Arch was in his own head due to all of the public pressure. I didn't think it would last past the first quarter, but it did.
  12. I doubt it. Quite the opposite probably I cannot imagine the Uncles would be so obtuse as to publicly interject themselves and whip-up the shit storm.
  13. Baxter had some success in this game and provides a change of pace. His carries may also have been deliberately limited out of caution to avoid overstressing his knee ligaments. A single early game isn't a basis to make such a ruling.
  14. Exactly. At least getting to this early in the season allows for him, the coaches and the team to work on their weaknesses. And while the game didn't end on a high note, there were some positives towards the end. There were some flashes here and there. Avoiding the shutout was paramount. Yeah, no moral victories and all that, but that would have left a mark.
  15. Sark still would have called the same shitty redzone and goal line plays If you're going to bring Ewers into it, how many times does he self sack? Does he get injured? Does the defense bring the house and dare him to throw deep? Just stop trying to think the game would be exactly the same and you can magically turn the outcome of the game by deleting Arch for a few plays and inserting Ewers there.
  16. Yeah, maybe 1 out of a 100 tries. Not buying it. Wingo was cook'n across and did well to try and tip it forward. That is 100% on Arch.
  17. Hat's off to the Buckeyes.
  18. Arch really needs to work on his lateral passes and crossing routes. Not sure how much the moment here contributed to his inaccuracy today, but it wasn't his strong suit last season.
  19. Fucking Endries! Stud catch. And how about that throw?
  20. At least we have points on the board. LET's GO TEXAS!
  21. Am I the only one who thought there was PI on that play?
  22. Pass interfence, but didn't matter.
  23. Yeah. Only thing I'd add to that is the absolutely insane levels of hype only added to it.
