  1. Agree.
  2. I waited tables there my last 2 years of college. It was great place with the old dark giant square bar up front. When they did the "upscale" remodel, the place totally lost it's charm.
  3. Great. I am sure it will work out as well as Guitar Center.
  4. I I finally got enough motivation to list some stuff. Sold 4 basses and 2 amps over the past month. Actually feels nice to be free of some excess gear. I know....... I'll show myself out now.
  5. Pics aren’t showing up for me.
  6. Be sure and do some coke in the bathroom.
  7. Well that sucks. At least it's on the back???
  8. I wrote off G&L after they mismanaged a replacement pickguard. Can’t even imagine dealing with what Gibson is doing. Hope your brother comes out ok Goredho.
  9. Please tell me you got Roxy Pink! You ordered Tungsten didn't you.....
  10. So it's the customers fault? Umm, ok.
  11. Arnold ended up using the Facebook approved method of tumor treatment. Do your own research!
  12. Drink a bit more tonight and keep us posted.
  13. Sorry for the double tap. Spotty wifi
  14. Sitting off the edge of Guadalupe island over the past few days. Great White action has been pretty heavy. Yesterday we had 6 (4 male 2 female) surfacing around the boat for several hours. We head back tonight. Highly recommend if you get a chance.

  16. Another option is to go Fender Mod shop. You won’t get relic or nitro finish, but you can basically pick from a ton of color options, neck shapes and finger boards (including roasted maple), PUP’s, pick guards etc. Not a full on custom shop, but design your own within a few limits. If you join Fender Play for a year ($99 I think) you get a 10% discount.
  17. Reasonable consolation prize for the no show flakes. I have a few G&L products. Quality is on par with Fender, but you will take a beating in resale value if you sell later on. Used US G&L is the sweet spot for value. But agree with the comments above about a US Fender. Pick your color and maple vs rosewood and don’t look back.
  18. Yeah, that is awful. Especially when you consider the alternatives.
  19. https://www.thegearpage.net/board/index.php?threads/murphy-lab-finish-issues.2264680/ Thread on TGP about it. Pics and and comments from the owner are similar to the above. Apparently it also got sent back to Gibson. Comments below are from the owner/thread creator: The issue with the finsih coming off was defective cherry pore filler mix. And the end result likely will be all the finish coming off over time.Gibson stuck their head in the sand hoping some of use would just keep them.Dealers kept selling them and some even resold the defective returned guitars as new.Just a summary for those who did not read all the various posts.
  20. Perhaps, but "deft touch" has never been said about me and musical instruments in any capacity whatsoever.
  21. Hard pass.
  22. I think the sold out limited edition is the issue. The Gibson thin nitro finish is probably delicate (if it’s anything like the Fender thin skin nitro which dinks if you look at it wrong). call them tell them you are ready to buy, can they do just a little better on the price….
  23. Where is the nick? Actual size? Sweetwater usually puts the sizing arrow next to a defect to give scale. It looks small to me. I’d probably do worse in the first month anyways. Assuming you are going to actually play it and not case queen it/flip it, I’d go for it. Now, if the dink was on the neck where I would feel it all the time or on a prominent location always staring at me I would pass. You’ve been after one for a while now, $430 off and they aren’t making any more.
  24. I bet they are confusing the Chronomaster Sport (41mm) with the Original (38mm). If you are keeping it forever, fine. But I agree about buying a new Zenith. The value drop likes a rock so negotiate a good discount.
  25. You should have negotiated your dad down a bit on that price.
