  1. I have to disagree with some of this. It's a misperception that turnovers are always unforced errors. Alabama turned the ball over in that game because Texas' D-line was beating their ass all night. When Milroe threw it right at Barron, that wasn't an unforced mistake. Barron baited Milroe into that throw; that's what Jahdae Barron does. Sure, any game can go differently if a few key plays break the other way, but there was as much shooting of itself in the foot by Texas in that game as by Alabama (e.g. Xavier Worthy dropped TD, Bert Auburn missed FG). Early in the fourth quarter, Texas trailed 16-13 after mostly controlling the game. On the two Alabama could-be-touchdowns that were called back, one was a blatant hold by the Tide which prevented a Texas sack of Milroe. The other was a near-interception by Jaylan Ford that bounced right off his hands. I'm not a fan of the woulda coulda shoulda game, but if we're going to play that game, those weren't two should-be touchdowns for Alabama; it was a should-be sack and a coulda-been interception for Texas. Texas could've won by more than it did. The narrative coming out of that game was, yes, great game by Texas, but this isn't the same Alabama team as in the past. Alabama fans almost universally believed that Texas won because Milroe is trash when in fact it was clear watching that game that Milroe made a lot of great plays and that his playmaking was the only thing keeping Alabama in it. Almost no one was predicting that Alabama would run the table or reach the playoff. This was a flawed team that had at least another loss or two on the schedule. We saw how it turned out. 2024 Michigan won't be as good as 2023 Alabama. I'm still not buying that they are absolute trash and will lose 5 or 6 games. That's just the narrative that emerges when Texas goes in and beats the doors off a national power early in the season. In a contrarian take, I also don't expect Warren to be as bad as most people are saying. While inconsistent, he flashed with quite a few really good throws. The 4th and 4 throw for 15 yards with a blitzer right in his face was absurd. Like Sark said, Texas is good. This is who we are. The rest of the country needs to get used to it.
  2. These are all fine takes. Just a reminder that after beating Alabama in their house last year, much of the narrative was about how Alabama had fallen off and shot themselves in the foot with turnovers. The QB is terrible, this isn't the same Alabama, etc. By the end of the year, Milroe was in the Heisman discussion and Alabama was in the playoff (and nearly beat Michigan to boot). Michigan isn't likely to run the table like Alabama did, but I'll also hold off on buying the narrative that that wasn't a top-20 team we faced yesterday. Although Davis "We did this to ourselves" Warren didn't want to admit it, maybe, just like last year, Texas was just that good.
  3. He forgot to account for the baddest dangerman of them all.
  4. I think Warren got his postgame cliches mixed up (much like he was confused between the white and blue jerseys during the game). "It came down to a few plays in the fourth quarter" and "we let 'em off the hook" are usually reserved for nail-biters that go down to the wire, not blowouts that were 24-3 at halftime and easily could have been more like 41-6.
  5. Updated chart for the second half:

  7. He was replying to TexMexBuddha. It's still a dumb post considering that he was given a pretty warm welcome. Nonetheless, I think you may be overestimating the poster.
  8. Dude, you were allowed by the site owner to post your advertising here without charge. Most businesses and freelancers pay for that privilege. You also received a lot of positive remarks on your work, which is cool. But you'll get farther here if you drop the attitude and accept the constructive feedback together with the compliments. Thin skin will get you nowhere on a sports-related message board, especially this one. TexMexBuddha is right; if you'll be doing more work for Longhorn athletes or Longhorn NIL initiatives, you'll want to get the orange right. That isn't a slam; it's just a fact and a detail that an artist such as yourself will want to take note of since detailing is kind of what you do.
  9. Weigman somehow managed to fire off more clichés in this short clip than he had incomplete passes against Domer. Point blank period I count 21 in 42 seconds.
  10. Sitting. National championship winner.
  11. The predictable narrative synergy coming out of this game for aggy is delicious. Weigman had an all-time horrific performance because he didn't realize how great the offensive line was playing, but that's not on him. And the O-line will likely be even better going forward, if that's possible, after their starting center went down to injury.
  12. This will be delivered to Elko's office this week:
  13. The Elk's defense doesn't play for sacks. It stays disciplined to contain long runs.
  14. You're doing this wrong. Georgia, Texas, Alabama, Ole Miss, Tennessee, and Texas A&M outscored their opponents 307-32.
  15. "We don't win when we are in Texas' shadow. We've tried that for a hundred years."
  16. Maybe they can coax Haynes King into the portal.
  17. Highlights for aggy: Notre Dame is really, really good. Aggy defense was tremendous. Offense averaged nearly 4 yards per play. 100% efficiency in the red zone (2-for-2 with 2 FGs).
  18. He looks more comfortable in his skin than he did at aggy.
