  1. I've always liked Okie State, but that feeling didn't really mature until a game at Kyle field (can't remember the year, but Sherman was coaching aggy) when aggy was leading at halftime, and in the second half the Pokes went tempo with a steady diet of nothing but WR screens. Stupid aggy couldn't adjust, and they were so gassed they made fools of themselves with fake injuries after every down. Funniest damned half of football I've ever seen.
  2. I really am curious what percentage of Q followers are registered sex offenders. No way to know without an official membership list, but I'm pretty damned sure it's a disproportionate number.
  3. It's inevitable once a cult starts talking about needing to die to be enlightened, there will be a mass suicide. My only fear is that the nutjob running the show down there has encouraged them all to be heavily armed, and he has a history of violent behavior... I hope they don't take out any innocent bystanders on their way to the Level Beyond Next.
  4. Wait, they're not? Shit, looks like I need to clear out the toolshed.
  5. That is a reasonable thing to hope but the odds are pretty good that it will mutate again, and the chances of the new mutation being more deadly are just as good as the chances that it will be milder.
  6. I actually have no judgment on that case, though I have extreme distaste for someone arming themselves to travel two states away to attend a protest. But I wasn't in that room. I do know, however, that numerous legal observers have stated that jury composition was critical in both cases. Now why would that be, if juries are likely to get it right?
  7. I think a decent argument could be made that Q-Anon is strong evidence in support of post-natal abortion, even after the 40th trimester.
  8. I think it's pretty obvious from this thread that it's time to do away with the "jury of peers" model and move to professional deliberators. You know, people who care about facts and nuance, who understand context, and who don't confuse correlation with causation.
  9. Anyone wanting to sell capsules full of sawdust as a weight loss supplement should be thrilled to see Oz running for office.
  10. The more I think about it, the more this crime highlights how problematic hate crime laws are. Does he hate white people? Yes. Is that why he plowed through this particular crowd? Doesn't seem that way -- he was fleeing, and it's hard to picture him knowing the racial makeup of the crowd he was plowing into. Top that off with it being a Christmas parade, and the motives get sketchy. Now, if it had been a political march (MAGA or some other obviously white folk march), it'd be different. But just knowing someone's likes and dislikes doesn't really speak to their frame of mind at the time they commit their crime. Either way, string him up.
  11. Every time a gun fires, another angel gets her wings. This fucking timeline.
  12. Carville needs to jump his coonass self in the deepest lake he can find. He hasn't had any good ideas this century.
  13. They really oughta be careful who they're hassling.
