  1. TL;DR - Schools in the SEC now find themselves in a system in which they no longer have a competitive advantage. They would like to go back to the system that allowed them to have an edge in personnel acquisition.
  2. If you watch his tape and look at his numbers in 9 games, I think you'd expect him to start and be productive. It's pretty impressive coming off a high school injury and playing with Stanford's QB. Also, he was smart enough to get into Stanford and then smart enough to transfer to Texas.
  3. They’re equally talented but our QB situation is more appealing and our coaching continuity can only help.
  4. I get it but they probably lose one of Michigan or Auburn.
  5. Anytime I get annoyed with this thread, I just think about 4-5 years ago when I would open it daily hoping for a program healing deus ex machina. Now i just smile and look at the calendar to see how many DAYS away it is until a Manning is leading our preseason #1 team to open the season.
  6. You can also carry a bat in baseball. Maybe Shemar’s attorney could argue for that as well.
  7. They had like the 50th SOS in his breakthrough season. I think they’ll be better but I just can’t see them in the playoffs. Tough schedule.
  8. The thought of a 5-star RB from Miami coming to Texas is pretty amazing. This Sark fellow has chutzpah.
  9. I’m worried about depth at 5-star linebacker. We only signed one in this class.
  10. Welcome Tyler! Glad the staff listened to our feedback and started signing the 5-star players
  11. I think we would rise from 6 to 12 in the rankings if you know what i'm saying.
  12. That stuck out to me as well as the part about throwing more interceptions (maybe) but seeing a huge leap in explosive play margin. I can stand some turnovers if you're sprinkling in a couple of 40+ downfield shots a game.
  13. Everyone enjoy our last weekend before SEC Media Days. I'm hunkering down before the barrage of Arch hot take bombs.
  14. If schools are held to the rules, there is absolutely going to be fallout from the overspending. You see it in every professional sport. Right now, we're in summer free agency before you realize the expensive new toy isn't an all-star and has interesting off the court hobbies. The good news is that if there's no accountability going forward, Texas can just be fast followers and join in the fun.
  15. I wouldn't grace his ridiculous statement with a response.
  16. Feels like the NBA summer when Keith Van Horn got a max deal.
  17. Natural disasters have a very long tail. So much information is going to come out over the next 6 months to a year. I hope we're all still engaged over the next few years because people like your friends need answers, and they might not come quickly.
  18. If it’s Tech, fans across the country should cheer for that.
  19. I bet it’s Bowman and USC. I heard he shot a short film in black and white and used AI to dub the authentic cockney accents.
  20. We lost everything in the fires in January. FEMA definitely helps in the immediate aftermath. Just stick with them. They will follow through, it just takes time. All the agencies that are meant to help right now are dealing with shakeups. SBA Disaster loans are HUGE for people that need to rebuild/relocate. You can get loans to help at 2.56% over 30 years. Can't stress how helpful that will be for the recovery. And yes you can use it to relocate. Obviously, now is the time to find those that are missing and make sure everyone's immediate needs are met. But if you have friends dealing with the loss of a home, share this site with them: https://uphelp.org/ I know flood insurance is treated differently than other calamities, but that website will be one of the most helpful things you could share over the next 2 years for them. It has step-by-step roadmaps for recovery. It's a non-profit run by survivors of disasters. Also, offer to babysit their kids for free while they talk with their spouses about what the fuck they're going to do. Recovery is like having another full time job.
