  1. US Achieves Energy Independence For First Time in 40 Years https://www.newsweek.com/us-energy-independence-first-time-40-years-1878729 Allow me to be the first to congratulate Joe Biden on molding, crafting, harnessing, building, and unleashing the greatest economy ever witnessed by mankind.
  2. Some of you need a reminder that Texas was the 8th most competitive state at like 5.58% spread. There are 42 other states with more decided outcomes.
  3. Didn’t you hear? We have to win rural areas and half the suburbs instead of eat into the numbers. *Pretend this space is some condescending bullshit about sweet summer children*
  4. We don’t need them to vote D at President, we need them vote for a state rep they have probably met in person. Trump on the Presidential ballot has been a bigger boon to Democrats in the state than Republicans. my dad is an obnoxious Republican and has never voted for his state R house rep cause of one interaction he had with her. That is going to be the most local race you can think of on the ballot in November. Republicans killed school vouchers not Dems.
  5. What happened in our Texas primary, is the best possible way of picking up votes for an effort to flip the State House. If enough rural Texas voters are pissed about the school voucher votes and have started making their one, two, three hour trips for hospital care there is absolutely a coalition of city Dems and rural republicans who can get issues like public school funding and rural hospitals across the finish line while the consultants work on “BoRdeR iSSuEs” and can maintain a majority. No telling the suburb support. Rural healthcare and school districts are the only jobs keeping some of these spaces alive. A conservative Republican poster here has already said this issue has given him major pause thinking of not abstaining from voting but voting for a Dem.
  6. buddy of mine runs his own fence co in Austin if ya need a quote Fine Line Fence Co. Jeff Copeland- 737-291-0644 Here’s an obnoxiously long link to Thumbtack https://www.thumbtack.com/tx/austin/lawn-care/fine-line-fence-co/service/473888449509744664?category_pk=167177250904949178&keyword_pk=225261460223323027&lp_request_pk=487098024797192193&project_pk=487098024805212192&service_pk=473888449509744664&zipCode=73301&zip_code=73301&click_origin=pro+list%2Fclick+pro+ratings&is_sponsored=false&fbclid=IwAR0kQSBVScq8hgyA5hcFdOeuggdmnHc2LT2dkfo1as6uUEvAeMQVmbSD1-M
  7. @bernorange last link they point blank asks Jpow if he’s waiting til he sees 2 flat and he says no btw. Around 1:50
  8. So it would appear Greg Abbott campaigned against his anti-vouchers reps on border security, so we can pay some bubba 328 million dollars in 4 years to run the voucher program. None of this actually has to be true, but would be possible under the bill, I just need you mad about it and telling everyone you know about it.
  9. 5% for the 'Big Guy' @DeAngelisCorey In the final bill proposed to create the taxpayer-funded private school voucher scheme, the proposed legislation allows the Texas comptroller to hire at least one (1) Certified Educational Assistance Organizations (CEAO) that will hand out the voucher cash to the private schools based upon voucher-participating students managed by said CEAO. The CEAO, the 'Big Guy', gets 5% of the gross amount. The voucher bill was programmed to cost around $461 million a year in 2025. This mean's Corey's bosses, the 'Big Guy', will get a $23 million windfall the first year. In 2026, vouchers will cost $1.9 billion and Corey's bosses will get $95 million of our tax dollars. By 2028, the cost of the vouchers increase to $2.3 billion, netting Corey's bosses $115 million a year. Corey's take by year: 2025: $ 23 million 2026: $ 95 million 2027: $ 95 million (at least!) 2028: $115 million -------------------- Total GRIFT by @DeAngelisCorey and his bosses in 4 years? $328 million -- about 1/3 a billion bucks! That's a WINDFALL! And they are getting paid that to GIVE OUT YOUR TAX DOLLARS to rich families living in Cinco Ranch so they can send their kids to Strake Jesuit-- all on your dime! No wonder AFC Victory Fund spent $millions and $millions lying to rural Republican voters this year (about a the border crisis, not vouchers)! The text in the image is from the #TXLege Budget Board fiscal notes about HB1 (4th 88th session) here: https://capitol.texas.gov/tlodocs/884/fiscalnotes/pdf/HB00001I.pdf#navpanes=0
  10. If there was yellow gravy on top some of you’d be giving it a 9/10
  11. Don’t ask questions we already know the answer to, especially when you know the number is a lagging response.
  12. Herbie thanks for confirming you are in fact chirping if you can’t figure out this all happened 7 years ago.
  13. Im sure there are late millennials putting 100 dollars on 8 leg parlays as a way to put a down payment on a house
  14. The soft landing that our back wheels just touched down on that is apparent to everyone but you, unless you wanted me to do your homework with a lengthy post about inflation numbers continuing to trend downwards. PCE hitting 2.4% last month as part of the continued falling trend that the Fed favors over other inflation measures is the most obvious. We had percentages in the 90s of a rate cut for this March but January repricing spooked people and set the timeline back. 6 weeks ago we were looking at a 90% chance of a cut this month, now we’re around 33%. The question is when not if.
  15. I was ready to HAHA rep this, and then the second part after the comma hit me hard. Man I loved Oceanside, wish I could’ve taken the same time in Carlsbad. I could watch the skateboarders and the rollergirls choreography in that beach pavilion forever. FatJoes had a great burger and cost less than I expected too.
  16. You think the wink wink prediction is because of behind the scenes pressure to interfere in an election year, while others would consider all economic indicators are factored in and point to this occurring
  17. Pull up the last president’s remarks on the Fed and Powell so we can review. You won’t
  18. She actually had mentioned her before but I think it was more sorority stuff
  19. My first sentence is aimed to you directly, that’s why I quoted you. The rest of my response is to wood who I posted directly under.
  20. All donation money should be going towards state house reps in the closest districts IMO
  21. It’s made people more incredibly annoying. During the Super Bowl some dickhead next to me kept going about his bet he had and the guy just did understand that’s how you guarantee you lose and just doesn’t understand etiquette. So of course he lost.
  22. The man is literally saying out loud what most people think will happen before the election. He didn’t even put a number on it, just said down. I bet he’s got some Cherry Luden cough drops in his pocket. I bet he’s gonna find a quarter behind some young kids ear. I bet he might have an ice cream cone sometime this summer.
