  1. each episode is standalone. so not even anthology.
  2. when people ask me what's happening i say hunter brown.
  3. sigh. yes, i've mentioned several times this season that whatever gets in the way, the deal is not happening. writing is about choices. the way you make your choices is to play them all out and to see where they take you, and choose the one with the prettiest view. my response was to a post talking about shiv getting played and her role in this. i was gaming this out from her perspective because i find it interesting right now. she got squeezed out of the threesome with a bunch of mixed metaphors, and in typical shiv fashion, she's acting like a dipshit. that's who she is. this show works on a rotating entourage-style story arc, where everything is great, then everything is trouble, then everything gets solved, until it doesn't. this isn't lost or 24. it's practically a cbs procedural at this point. but yes, sure, i'll be the one person who isn't entertaining hypotheticals on this thread. good god, man. i guess every thread needs a shiv.
  4. we were cracking up at her "i can give you pr consult on the side if you need it". "ok, step one, stop doing it", which is step one of every single piece of pr advice in history. i did like the juxtaposition of what mattison thinks her role/sway/juice currently is with her brothers/waystar vs what it actually is since the announcement. if they take 192, she's going to become beyond irrelevant and hopefully gets back into political mischief right before the election. she fucking hates mencken who is definitely going to lose and call it rigged.
  5. yeah, for tampa's bullpen. god dammit.
  6. give kanye a platform, they said. tell people you don't think he's crazy, they said. what's the worst that could happen, they said. obligatory:
  7. surly after 4-pitch walk/hbp: this fucking bullpen. i swear to god. this looks familiar. here we go... counterpoint: nice sweep. let's go get 2 in tampa, we miss mclanahan. lfg.
  8. felt like a big win for april. let’s go.
  9. yeah, it can be a little confusing considering all the ground they've covered in 3+ seasons. there was a time where every other scene was about cruises or theme parks (remember when roman went to his little management training school?). but lately it's been all about atn, which was going to be carved out of the acquisition, so it obviously isn't a super valuable piece of whatever mattison is wanting. i know the rest of the season includes political/upcoming election, and there's already been plenty of atn stuff this season, so that's clearly what we're getting.
  10. it would've been sooooooo much better for them if he was outside his lane, checking the gun "for safety purposes" and it went off and killed/injured someone. we never would've heard the end of "you see, the way it works on a film set, is that only person who handles the blah blah stupid libs".
  11. this should never be an issue. pedro can do his entire character from an adr booth.
  12. not going another 15 rounds over this. there’s a long thread on the movie board where a bunch of us predicted what would happen, just happened. go check the tower logs. sorry for those weirdos that got their hopes up.
  13. banging the boss has its perks. i assume the perks go both ways.
  14. well that was his tipping point. and he knew exactly who nate was. in the context of the show, that was a "good guy" moment. the show does a nice job letting us know who everyone is and who we're rooting for/against, but then also throws a curveball every now and then. like with jamie - he's gone back and forth. crimm was definitely set up to be ted's foil, then he won him over. the issue many of you are having - and i know because i'm having the same one - is that typically shows have someone that "we just want to be happy". in this show, it should be ted. but they've mainly shied away from his romantic entanglements (the seasonal sassy encounter aside). for some reason, they keep pushing the narrative that we just want rebecca to be happy. i don't really give a shit if rebecca is happy or not, relationship-wise. most of her scenes are a waste of time unless she's battling with rupert, the real "bad guy" of the show.
  15. i'm winning 2 categories dude, i deserve this one.
  16. crimm has been one of the most consistent (and consistently well-meaning) characters on the show. he's had several opportunities to wreck ted's life/career and has passed on every one.
