  1. give kanye a platform, they said. tell people you don't think he's crazy, they said. what's the worst that could happen, they said. obligatory:
  2. surly after 4-pitch walk/hbp: this fucking bullpen. i swear to god. this looks familiar. here we go... counterpoint: nice sweep. let's go get 2 in tampa, we miss mclanahan. lfg.
  3. felt like a big win for april. let’s go.
  4. yeah, it can be a little confusing considering all the ground they've covered in 3+ seasons. there was a time where every other scene was about cruises or theme parks (remember when roman went to his little management training school?). but lately it's been all about atn, which was going to be carved out of the acquisition, so it obviously isn't a super valuable piece of whatever mattison is wanting. i know the rest of the season includes political/upcoming election, and there's already been plenty of atn stuff this season, so that's clearly what we're getting.
  5. it would've been sooooooo much better for them if he was outside his lane, checking the gun "for safety purposes" and it went off and killed/injured someone. we never would've heard the end of "you see, the way it works on a film set, is that only person who handles the blah blah stupid libs".
  6. this should never be an issue. pedro can do his entire character from an adr booth.
  7. not going another 15 rounds over this. there’s a long thread on the movie board where a bunch of us predicted what would happen, just happened. go check the tower logs. sorry for those weirdos that got their hopes up.
  8. banging the boss has its perks. i assume the perks go both ways.
  9. well that was his tipping point. and he knew exactly who nate was. in the context of the show, that was a "good guy" moment. the show does a nice job letting us know who everyone is and who we're rooting for/against, but then also throws a curveball every now and then. like with jamie - he's gone back and forth. crimm was definitely set up to be ted's foil, then he won him over. the issue many of you are having - and i know because i'm having the same one - is that typically shows have someone that "we just want to be happy". in this show, it should be ted. but they've mainly shied away from his romantic entanglements (the seasonal sassy encounter aside). for some reason, they keep pushing the narrative that we just want rebecca to be happy. i don't really give a shit if rebecca is happy or not, relationship-wise. most of her scenes are a waste of time unless she's battling with rupert, the real "bad guy" of the show.
  10. i'm winning 2 categories dude, i deserve this one.
  11. crimm has been one of the most consistent (and consistently well-meaning) characters on the show. he's had several opportunities to wreck ted's life/career and has passed on every one.
  12. we went into full embrace mode with subtitles during covid and i'm not gonna lie, it's hard to hear anything now without them. even just talking to people in person i'm like what the fuck are they saying? we went to go see the batman at grauman's and sat right in the middle and i was like what is happening?
  13. if i was just looking at the line, i would say underlined. but considering the circumstances/intent, who would go back and underline something that was already typed out and printed? you would only go back if you were crossing something out. it's called quiet luxury. take an interest, dude.
  14. ugh, so it's a choice. he needs a better voice coach. whomever is handling matthew macfadyen is fantastic.
  15. on season 3 of mindhunter...
  16. tbh, i'm way more excited about what we just saw out of meyers this series than whatever the fuck dubon's batting average is. if dubon plays well enough to let altuve fully heal, then he's done his job. he's not gonna win or lose any games for us, realistically. if meyers can show some pop, especially the other way, he's an actual asset. i did like a few days ago how they said altuve keeps coming up to dusty every day to show him his hand and how fast he's progressing. who knows if it's true, but i like it. seems like every injury i read about has setbacks, though those are mostly pitchers (not our guys, just following roto shit).
  17. btw, fuck you to whomever said jamie's accent was super thick this season because now i keep noticing it and it's driving me crazy. either he's a shitty actor who can't turn it on or off, or that was an actual note, and there's no way it was.
